GDRTA Picks ConnXAI Maestro to Unify Transit Rider Communications

Plainsboro Township, N.J. – October 05, 2026 -- Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (GDRTA) has selected ConnXAI to deploy its Unified Customer Communications Platform, powered by ConnXAI MaestroTM, to merge fixed-route, paratransit and customer-service data into a single operational layer.

GDRTA aims to replace fragmented transit systems with one operational truth

Transit data at GDRTA currently sits across separate systems covering fixed-route schedules, paratransit, vehicle locations, incident tracking and customer service. ConnXAI MaestroTM will connect these existing platforms rather than replace them, creating a shared operational context designed to improve the accuracy and timing of rider communications.

"The goal is to establish one operational truth and turn that truth into the right customer message, delivered through the right channels at the right time," said Shawn Prince, IT Director at GDRTA.

Platform layers intelligence over existing technology without a rip-and-replace

ConnXAI's architecture is built to sit above GDRTA's current systems of record as an integration, intelligence, orchestration and assurance layer. The deployment follows a six-step workflow: detect, normalize, compose, approve, publish and validate.

Sally Brown, Director of Mobility and Customer Service at GDRTA, said the platform gives teams a single source of truth across operations, maintenance, safety and scheduling, supporting a more predictable passenger experience.

Maestro applies five core capabilities to coordinate rider messaging

The platform integrates legacy and modern network, voice, contact center, security and operational systems; normalizes data into a common multimodal event model; orchestrates events, messages and workflows; assures communications from source through delivery; and secures operations through governance and Zero Trust principles.

Communications will be supported across mobile apps, websites, SMS, push notifications, email, transit-center signage, onboard displays, public-address systems, third-party applications and GTFS/Open Data feeds.

ConnXAI positions deal as proof point for transit-sector technology integration

"We help transportation agencies operationalize their existing technology investments and convert fragmented systems and data into actionable outcomes," said Indrajit Ghosh, CEO of ConnXAI. Steve Pitchon, Chief Client Officer at ConnXAI, said the deployment reflects a broader shift toward connecting rather than replacing legacy transit infrastructure.
