Pryzm Rebrands to Belisar After 6X Revenue Growth in Defense Tech

Boston – October 05, 2026 -- Pryzm, the CRM built for government contracting, has rebranded as Belisar following 6X annual recurring revenue growth and adoption by a third of the more than 60 defense tech unicorns currently operating.

Defense budget request hits $1.5 trillion as venture capital floods the sector

The White House has requested $1.5 trillion for national defense in FY27, the largest defense budget request in U.S. history. Venture investment in defense tech reached $49.1 billion in 2025, nearly double the prior year, yet contractors still face slow, opaque paths from idea to deployed contract.

Platform now serves Forterra, Quantum Systems, Allen Control Systems and primes including Boeing

Belisar's customer base spans primes, neo-primes, consultancies and startups, including Forterra, Quantum Systems, Allen Control Systems, HII, Boeing and Beacon Global. The Defense Innovation Unit selected the platform, then known as Pryzm, for its Enterprise Workflow and Reporting Platform (eWARP) initiative, and the system holds IL5 and FedRAMP High authorizations.

"Belisar exists to connect the best technology to the missions that need it most," said Nick LaRovere, Belisar Co-Founder and CEO. "Too often in federal procurement, the best technology loses to whoever can best absorb bureaucratic friction."

Forterra says the tool now spans marketing, operations and manufacturing teams

Scott Sanders, Chief Growth Officer at Forterra, said traditional CRMs are not built for government contracting's unique demands. He noted that marketing, operations and manufacturing teams at Forterra use the platform to track sales targets, build cycles and deployment status across shared data, calling it an operational efficiency gain beyond the growth function alone.

Backers include Andreessen Horowitz as platform covers 39 countries

Belisar is backed by investors including Andreessen Horowitz and XYZ Venture Capital. The platform was built by alumni of Palantir and Lockheed Martin and provides market intelligence across U.S. federal and state/local/education (SLED) markets, as well as NATO, the EU, and a total of 39 countries. Belisar is headquartered in Boston with offices in New York and Arlington, Va.
