Once Upon a Farm Launches Organic Electrolyte Pouches for Kids

Berkeley, Calif. – October 05, 2026 -- Once Upon a Farm PBC (NYSE: OFRM) has launched Electrolyte Blends, a new line of organic fruit and veggie purée pouches designed to support hydration for school-age kids heading back into busy, active routines.

The pouches use coconut water and sea salt instead of added sugar

The refrigerated 4oz pouches combine fruits, vegetables, coconut water, and sea salt to naturally deliver electrolytes rather than relying on traditional sports-drink formulas. They are sold as single-serve pouches and in four-pack bundles, and each pouch is cold-pressure processed (HPP) to preserve nutrients and flavor.

Nearly half of parents already shop for electrolytes in kids' products

According to a 2024 SPINS Kids' Beverage Attributes Survey cited by the company, close to 50% of U.S. parents look for electrolytes when buying products for children ages 6 to 12. Cassandra Curtis, Co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Once Upon a Farm, said many kid-specific hydration options fail to provide the nutrients children need during the school year, and the new line was built to fit everyday routines.

Taylor Morrison, a Pediatric Sports Dietitian and Once Upon a Farm Expert, noted that while young kids don't need the electrolyte levels required by collegiate or professional athletes, staying hydrated still matters for them to feel and play their best.

One flavor is a Whole Foods exclusive before going nationwide

The Electrolyte Blends come in three flavor combinations and are sold in the dairy or produce aisles at select retailers nationwide, as well as direct-to-consumer through onceuponafarmorganics.com. The Guava Strawberry flavor will be available exclusively at Whole Foods Market before expanding nationwide in April 2027.

All Once Upon a Farm products, including the new pouches, are USDA Organic, Non-GMO, and free from artificial flavors and colors. The company's broader portfolio is distributed across more than 25,000 retail doors, including Whole Foods Market, Target, Walmart, and Kroger.
