Dublin – October 05, 2026 -- AerCap Holdings N.V. (NYSE: AER) signed 85 lease agreements and repurchased 5.3 million shares for approximately $783 million during the third quarter of 2026, the Dublin-based aviation lessor disclosed in a business update.
AerCap expands its leased fleet with 85 new agreements covering widebody, narrowbody and helicopter assets
The lease volume included 16 widebody aircraft, 45 narrowbody aircraft, 13 engines and 11 helicopters, reinforcing AerCap's position as the largest global aircraft lessor by fleet size.
The company completed 34 aircraft purchases to replenish its owned portfolio
Acquisitions totaled 32 aircraft and 2 helicopters, including 8 Airbus A320neo Family jets, 20 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, 2 Boeing 787-9s and 2 Embraer E195-E2s added to AerCap's owned fleet.
AerCap divested 65 aircraft, 13 engines and 7 helicopters across owned and managed portfolios
The 85 sale transactions spanned a broad mix of Airbus and Boeing narrowbody and widebody types, nine Boeing 767 Freighters, and 13 aircraft sold from the managed portfolio, pointing to continued portfolio rotation toward newer-generation equipment.
The lessor secured roughly $900 million in new financing during the quarter
AerCap also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.40 per ordinary share, alongside the share buyback executed at an average price of $147.12 per share.
