New Orleans – October 05, 2026 -- Entergy Texas has appointed David Borde as president and CEO, effective Oct. 5, succeeding Eliecer Viamontes, who has left the company for other opportunities.
Borde Steps Up From Regulatory Strategy Role
Borde most recently served as vice president of utility strategy and regulatory initiatives at Entergy, where he supported regulatory and tariff filings across the company's operating companies. He joined Entergy in 2009 as director of corporate development in Texas and later held roles including vice president of investor relations and positions within the utility finance business partner organization.

Drew Marsh, chair and CEO of Entergy, said Borde's experience in utility strategy, regulatory affairs and utility finance, combined with his understanding of the business and customers, makes him a proven leader who will build on Entergy Texas's foundation while advancing affordable, reliable energy delivery.
Career Spans Law and Investment Banking
Before joining Entergy, Borde worked in the investment banking division of Citigroup USA and practiced law at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He holds a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law, earned in 2001, and a business degree from the University of Paris.
