New Delhi – October 05, 2026 -- The Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute (SWFI) has launched the inaugural I20 Summit, a five-day invitation-only event in Miami from 11-15 December 2026 targeting US$5 trillion in institutional capital deployment into the United States.
I20 Summit runs alongside the G20 Leaders' Summit in Miami
The event will take place at Trump National Doral, parallel to the official G20 Leaders' Summit. The program opens with a welcome dinner on 11 December, proceeds through specialized investor days, and closes on 15 December with Global Leaders Day and the GOOD Fellows Awards.
Twelve growth sectors to be pitched to sovereign and pension allocators
Over three core days, SWFI will host parallel sector sessions bringing together sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, endowments, central bank reserve managers, and state officials. American governors and economic development authorities will present shovel-ready projects spanning energy and LNG, SI and data center infrastructure, critical minerals, advanced manufacturing, real estate, private credit, and digital assets.
Initiative was unveiled at iBRICS 2026 in New Delhi to engage Global South allocators
SWFI announced the initiative at iBRICS 2026 in New Delhi, extending participation to allocators across G20 members, the European Union, the African Union, and invited guest nations including Qatar, Singapore, the UAE, Norway, and Finland.
Lakshmi Narayanan Ramanujam, Chairman of SWFI, said capital follows scale, rule of law and returns, and that no market offers more of all three than the United States. Chip Rogers, Advisor and spokesperson to SWFI, said American states have permitted projects ready for capital, but rarely get a week in the same city as the funds that can finance them.
