TCL's HH516 First 5G FWA CPE to Win prplWare Certification

Paris – October 05, 2026 -- TCL announced that its LINKHUB HH516 has become the world's first purpose-built 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) customer premises equipment to achieve prplWare 4.0 certification from the prpl Foundation.

Certification validates integration of authentic prplWare software across the device

The HH516 passed the required prplOS and High-Level API tests, confirming its open, modular software architecture meets prpl Foundation standards. The certification allows operators to reuse management and service capabilities across product generations, reduce repeated integration work across devices and silicon platforms, and gain flexibility in multi-vendor deployments.

Device delivers 5G speeds up to 7.01 Gbps and Wi-Fi 7 throughput up to 7.2 Gbps

The HH516 supports BE7200 dual-band Wi-Fi 7, up to 512 connected devices, and high-gain cellular antennas with peak gain of up to 13 dBi. TCL positions the device for deployment in homes, offices, retail spaces, and small-scale events.

AI-based traffic recognition prioritizes latency-sensitive applications automatically

The device uses AI to identify applications' network requirements and dynamically prioritize traffic for high-priority and latency-sensitive use cases. An AI-powered adaptive power management feature adjusts power modes based on user behavior and network usage without manual configuration.

"As 5G FWA adoption grows, operators need a reliable software foundation that supports both service deployment and long-term operations," said Jesse Wu, General Manager of the AIoT Business Unit at TCL. He said the certified HH516 is intended to let customers spend less time on integration and more time developing services for households and businesses.

TCL will showcase the HH516 at prpl Summit and Network X 2026

The company plans to demonstrate the device's prplWare-certified software and AI-based network optimization capabilities for operator broadband services at both industry events.
