AAE recognized for integrated communications, misinformation response and innovative efforts to reach consumers with evidence-based information about saving natural teeth

CHICAGO, Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Association of Endodontists (AAE) earned four honors at the 2026 Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Chicago Skyline Awards, recognizing the Association's work to combat health misinformation, educate consumers about endodontic care and demonstrate why natural teeth are worth saving.

AAE was recognized for four distinct communications initiatives:

- "Truth vs. Trends: How One Association Combats Trending Fear-Based Information"

Recognizing AAE's ongoing influencer work to identify and respond to misleading and fear-based information about root canal treatment and oral health, while providing patients, members and other stakeholders with credible, evidence-based resources.

- "AAE's Worth Saving Campaign in 2025: An Evidence-Based Integrated Campaign Elevating the Value of Saving Natural Teeth"

Honoring AAE's flagship consumer awareness campaign, which combined earned media, social media, influencer partnerships, patient education and member engagement to encourage consumers to value their natural teeth and understand the specialized role of endodontists. The pinnacle activation included Save Your Tooth Month 2025.

- "Combating Root Canal Misinformation Through Evidence-Based Public Education"

Recognizing AAE's proactive efforts to counter persistent myths about root canal treatment by making credible scientific information accessible to consumers and equipping members with a toolkit of resources to address misinformation.

- "Worth Saving: Reaching Digital-First Audiences Through Integrated Social Media Education"

Celebrating AAE's use of social media innovation and trusted digital voices to bring evidence-based oral health information to consumers where they increasingly seek and share health information.

"These awards reflect something that has become increasingly central to our communications strategy: being present with credible information wherever patients are looking for answers," said AAE President Dr. W. Craig Noblett. "Whether someone encounters a question about root canals through social media, a news story, an influencer or an online search, we want reliable, evidence-based information to be there — and we want patients to understand that their natural teeth are worth saving."

The recognition comes amid AAE's continued expansion of its public education strategy. The Association has increasingly combined traditional media relations with social media, influencer collaborations, patient resources, and search- and AI-optimized content to reach audiences beyond traditional dental channels.

The work has also emphasized translating scientific evidence into practical information consumers can understand and use. Through the Worth Saving campaign and AAE's broader misinformation efforts, consumers are encouraged to seek credible sources when making decisions about their dental health and to consult an endodontist when experiencing tooth pain, dental trauma or other conditions involving the inside of the tooth.

"Communications has an important role to play in helping patients distinguish evidence from misinformation," Dr. Noblett said. "These honors are meaningful because they recognize not just creative communications, but work ultimately designed to help people make better-informed decisions about their oral health and preserve their natural teeth whenever possible."

PRSA Chicago's Skyline Awards recognize outstanding public relations and communications work throughout the greater Chicago area. The awards are Chicago's premier public relations and communications awards competition, celebrating creativity and innovation in public relations and showcasing business impact and results. The 2026 awards were presented Sept. 17 at the organization's annual Skyline Awards Gala at Venue West in Chicago.

Global Times: From 'garbage mountain' to green factory, China-Kyrgyz cooperation writes new chapter in global ecological governance

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- After a roughly 40-minute drive north from downtown Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the city's skyline gradually gives way to low-rise homes. Around a bend, a modern complex suddenly comes into view across the green grassland. Green, blue, yellow, white, and orange structures overlap in vivid blocks of color. It resembles a cluster of giant, brightly colored boxes resting quietly at the grassland's edge. Few would guess that it is Central Asia's first waste-to-energy incineration project.

Inside the plant's laboratory, 23-year-old Medetbekova Kumushai Tinchitikovna bends over laboratory instruments, carefully testing water quality and chemical-agent indicators. A few years ago, she knew nothing about the solid-waste environmental protection industry. Today, she has grown into a chemical analyst at this benchmark project.

In her view, the modern plant where she works has solved the long-standing problem of Bishkek being "besieged by garbage." It is both a livelihood project that improves the urban living environment and a practice in green development. It has also shown young people the possibility of pursuing careers that develop in step with their city, country and even the wider region.

Such possibilities are a microcosm of the continuously expanding cooperation within the SCO.

In the article "Carry Forward the Shanghai Spirit and Build an SCO Community with a Shared Future" included in Volume V of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, Chinese President Xi emphasized that "We have embraced the vision of innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development, synergized our national development strategies and regional cooperation initiatives, and nurtured new growth drivers for our cooperation in areas such as the economy, trade, connectivity, energy, agriculture, finance, and sci-tech innovation. "

In Volume IV of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, President Xi pointed out that "We SCO countries are all at a critical stage of development. Being close to each other and sharing common interests are our unique strengths... We need to continue to promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and ensure secure and orderly flow of people, goods, capital and data. We should create growth drivers that promote cooperation, such as the digital economy, green energy and modern agriculture."

For Medetbekova, the SCO visions have translated into a real job, steadily improving skills and new possibilities in life. "I feel very fortunate to work here," she said. "Working here, I have not only seen broad prospects for my own career development, but also personally felt the solid step my country has taken in environmental governance and experienced the unprecedented opportunities brought by green cooperation in Central Asia."

Ending half a century of 'garbage siege'

Medetbekova has vivid memories of Bishkek's past environmental problems. "Before the plant was built, garbage was everywhere and the air smelled terrible."

For a long time, Bishkek relied mainly on a single municipal solid-waste landfill to dispose of household waste. Over the years, as the city's population grew, the landfill was expanded six times, while accumulated garbage, foul odors and dust plagued local residents. In recent years, as the city developed and the need for environmental protection became increasingly urgent, Kyrgyzstan began looking for new ways to treat solid waste. The China-Kyrgyzstan waste treatment and power generation project emerged against this backdrop.

After the project officially began operations at the end of 2025, Medetbekova noticed quiet changes all around her. Less and less garbage was being dumped casually along roadsides, and the odors that once hung over the surrounding area had also diminished markedly. Today, when she looks out from the laboratory window, the old landfill is still not far away, but the plant below is bright and clean, with equipment operating in an orderly manner.

At the Bishkek waste treatment and power generation project, the Global Times reporter watched through a glass partition as a huge grab crane lifted about 5 tons of household waste from a refuse pit and fed it into an incinerator operating at about 1,000 C. The garbage tumbles and burns in the furnace, producing steam that drives a turbine to generate electricity - turning what was once an environmental burden into usable energy.

Song Qiming, deputy general manager of China's Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., which invested in, built and operates the project, told the Global Times that during construction, the Chinese team did not simply copy its experience from China. Instead, it adjusted the technical route, equipment and design plan to local conditions, including the climate, waste composition and calorific value.

"Local conditions are different from those in China, so we could not simply transplant what we do in China without any changes. We carried out extensive surveys in the early stage because we wanted to make the solution better suited to this place," Song said.

The project's construction also faced challenges. Kyrgyzstan sits at a high elevation and has bitterly cold winters. Temperatures at the project site can fall to -20 C in winter, while builders also had to contend with frozen-ground periods and collapsible loess geology. Transporting large equipment across the Tianshan Mountains also made cross-border logistics a construction challenge.

The construction team erected insulated shelters with internal heating to ensure concrete work could continue in severe cold, adjusted construction techniques for the special geological conditions and established a dedicated communication mechanism to coordinate equipment, vehicles and customs clearance during cross-border transportation.

This approach of adapting measures to local conditions is also reflected in the plant's details. The project applies strict flue-gas emission standards, while the plant's design incorporates elements of local culture. The company also regularly holds public open days, allowing local residents to enter the plant and see with their own eyes how garbage is treated.

For Akylbekov Aktan Bektashovich, such changes that people can "see with their own eyes" are more convincing than any explanation.

Akylbekov, 25, is a centralized control operator at the waste treatment plant. He now works daily in the central control room, monitoring data from waste feeding, incineration, flue-gas purification and power generation. During the plant's public open days, many local residents have toured the facility, and Akylbekov has witnessed long-held public prejudices fade.

"In the past, local people thought waste treatment meant dirty, messy and smelly conditions. Now, when people come into the plant, they see that it is very clean and that the treatment process is also very strict. Many people have changed their views," he said.

According to the Xinhua News Agency, the Bishkek waste treatment and power generation project has an overall planned daily waste-treatment capacity of 3,000 tons. At its current stage, the project can treat 1,000 tons of waste per day, supply about 146 million kilowatt-hours of electricity to the grid annually and reduce carbon emissions by up to 100,000 tons a year.

Sowing seeds of technology

"Our country never had a plant like this before, so all the technology was completely new to me." For Akylbekov, joining the plant meant not only getting a new job, but also learning an entirely new set of solid-waste treatment technologies from scratch.

Waste-to-energy incineration is an emerging field in Kyrgyzstan that was starting from almost zero. Local universities do not offer dedicated programs directly aligned with the field, and relevant technical personnel are also very limited. The company can only recruit graduates from related fields such as automation, machinery, electrical engineering, electric power, water treatment and thermal energy, and then retrain them for specific positions.

Likewise, Medetbekova was entering an entirely new field. She studied biology at university and had no hands-on foundation experience in chemical laboratory work. After joining the project as a fresh graduate, she encountered a work system she had never dealt with before.

The person who introduced her to the field was Palati Nurjan, head of the chemical analysis team. Palati is from Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and graduated from China University of Petroleum. He had worked in a laboratory position at a waste-incineration project in China. After arriving in Kyrgyzstan, he reorganized the experience he had accumulated in China to fit the local plant's actual conditions, prepared bilingual Chinese-Kyrgyz materials and taught local employees step by step, from laboratory safety to water-quality testing and chemical-agent analysis.

At work, Palati often points to the old landfill not far outside the window and tells his apprentices how the area had long been plagued by garbage. The laboratory data produced by young local employees such as Medetbekova are crucial to whether the boiler and flue-gas purification system can operate steadily and whether the plant can truly deliver its environmental benefits.

"This is not just a job for making money. It can genuinely change the environment around us," Palati said. Medetbekova and her young colleagues took those words to heart, and they became an internal motivation for them to delve deeper into the technology.

There are no shortcuts in training. Palati first performs the entire procedure while Medetbekova watches and takes notes. Then, she carries out the procedure under his observation.

Marel Power Solutions Secures $1.9M to Scale Power Electronics Manufacturing for EVs, Data Centers, and Defense
Image File
Original HTML

PLYMOUTH, Mich., Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Marel Power Solutions, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded $1.9 million through the Michigan Supplier Conversion Grant Program, administered by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO). Marel is one of eleven Michigan automotive suppliers selected to share $21 million in funding aimed at strengthening the state's domestic automotive supply chain and preparing manufacturers for future vehicle technologies.

Marel Power develops power stacks, the building blocks inside every inverter and converter that moves energy between AC and DC, including electric vehicle traction inverters, battery disconnect units, onboard chargers, and charging infrastructure. It is a configurable platform rather than a component. The innovation is in how densely Marel Power packages power semiconductors and how aggressively it cools them. The platform is being deployed first in electric vehicles, and the same architecture extends to Defense and Data Center power systems.

"Power is the constraint on growth now," said Amrit Vivekanand, CEO of Marel Power Solutions. "Customers need more power in less space, at lower weight, and lower cost. Marel can deliver the same power in roughly one-quarter of the space at 30% lower cost. This LEO funding gives us the equipment to build our power stacks at pilot scale here in Michigan. Because our platform is configurable and scalable, customers can select the configuration they need instead of paying for a new design from the ground up."

The program is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy's Domestic Automotive Manufacturing Conversion Grant program, which is intended to increase domestic manufacturing capacity for qualified vehicles and their components while helping established automotive suppliers adapt to changes in the industry.

The same demand for higher power density is accelerating across Data Center and AI infrastructure, where rapidly increasing compute requirements are driving more power through increasingly constrained physical footprints. Marel's compact, high-density power electronics architecture is designed to help power conversion systems deliver significantly more power within the same (or smaller) space, supporting the next generation of AI and data center infrastructure.

"AI is changing the power-density requirements of the data center," said Vivekanand. "The challenge is no longer simply delivering more power, it is delivering dramatically more power without requiring dramatically more space. That is exactly where Marel's technology provides an advantage. By shrinking the power electronics footprint, we can help infrastructure providers use valuable space for compute instead of power conversion."

For Marel Power, the award funds equipment for a pilot production line in Plymouth, beginning with electric vehicle applications.

About Marel Power Solutions

Marel Power Solutions is tackling the power challenge that will define the next decade of growth. Its configurable power stack platform shrinks the inverter at the heart of every high-power system, giving data centers more compute per rack, automakers lighter and lower-cost EV powertrains, and defense platforms smaller, lighter vehicles without sacrificing performance. Headquartered in Plymouth, Michigan, Marel lets customers order a configuration instead of funding a new design from scratch. Learn more at marel-power.com.

BEN Shareholder Skye Africa Intelligence Commissioned to Develop SafariOS Concierge in Tanzania

Tanzanian tourism operator commissions hospitality concierge built with BEN technology | Hotel assistance first

WILMINGTON, Del., Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Brand Engagement Network Inc. (Nasdaq: BNAI) ("BEN" or the "Company") today noted that Skye Africa Intelligence (Pty) Ltd ("Skye"), in which BEN is a shareholder, has been commercially commissioned to develop a conversational AI concierge for hospitality and visitor services in Tanzania, under the project name SafariOS.

Skye issued the announcement earlier today. SafariOS is Skye's project name for that concierge. It is an independent commercial project and is not an official CAF or AFCON product.

The work was commissioned by an established Tanzanian tourism business owned by Ernest Magesa. The name refers to the visitor journey in East Africa. BEN is providing the underlying conversational AI. Skye is running the build.

Scope

SafariOS applies conversational concierge technology previously used in hospitality. The first release is hotel guest assistance — property information, housekeeping and room-service requests, dining and transport guidance, and a path to a person when one is needed. Additional visitor-journey connections will follow as participating businesses come onto the platform.

AFCON PAMOJA 2027, jointly hosted by Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda from 19 June to 17 July 2027, is useful timing for the market. The commissioned work is year-round hospitality in Tanzania.

Ownership

BEN, through its subsidiary Skye AI USA, LLC, holds a minority equity interest in Skye Africa Intelligence. Skye is majority-held by Valio Technologies. BEN does not consolidate Skye. Revenue generated by SafariOS, if and when earned, does not appear as BEN revenue unless separately contracted.

Management Commentary

"SafariOS puts conversational concierge technology to work in Tanzania's visitor economy," said Tyler Luck, Chief Executive Officer of Brand Engagement Network. "Skye runs the build. BEN supplies the technology and remains a shareholder."

Forward-Looking Statements

Certain statements in this press release are forward-looking statements within the meaning of the federal securities laws, including statements regarding the development, testing, launch or expansion of SafariOS; visitor demand around AFCON 2027; integrations with hospitality systems; and BEN's activities through Skye Africa Intelligence. Actual results may differ, including because development may be delayed or discontinued, the commissioned environment may be limited in scope, visitor traffic may not materialize as expected, integrations and participating businesses may not be secured, and other risks described in BEN's filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, including its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2025, and subsequent Form 10-Q and Form 8-K filings. BEN undertakes no obligation to update forward-looking statements except as required by law.

Dnotitia Brings Dedicated Vector Silicon to Server Scale at AI Infra Summit 2026

Dnotitia Brings Dedicated Vector Silicon to Server Scale at AI Infra Summit 2026

- Dnotitia's first-generation VDPU ASIC samples are back from fab, with chip-level characterization in progress and silicon-based evaluations planned for Q4 2026

- In FPGA-based evaluations, a four-card VDPU server delivered up to 5.77x the vector-search throughput of a dual-socket CPU server, while freeing up most of the host CPU and memory for the application

- VDPU integrates with Dnotitia's Seahorse vector database and widely used vector-search software including Milvus, FAISS and hnswlib, and the company is expanding server-scale evaluations with system, storage, memory and vector database partners.

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Dnotitia Inc. (Dnotitia), an AI data infrastructure and semiconductor company, today announced that the first ASIC samples of its Vector Data Processing Unit (VDPU) have returned from fabrication, with chip-level characterization now underway. At AI Infra Summit 2026, held Sept. 15-17 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, the company showcased a server-scale VDPU architecture designed for vector retrieval workloads in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic AI.

The showcase followed the company's first public display of its VDPU chip and accelerator card at the Future of Memory and Storage (FMS) 2026, where Dnotitia received a Best of Show Award, and marked the next step from chip-level demonstration to server-scale evaluation.

On Dnotitia's FPGA evaluation platform, a server equipped with four VDPU cards delivered up to 5.77x the vector-search throughput of the same software stack running on a dual-socket CPU-only server, while maintaining equal or better recall. In a 4,096-dimensional multimodal workload, VDPU reduced host CPU use during index building by 92% and host memory by 73%, freeing host CPU resources for applications. All performance figures were measured on the FPGA platform and do not represent final ASIC performance.

"Agentic AI is shifting the AI infrastructure bottleneck from model compute toward retrieval," said Se-Hyun Yang, Chief Technology Officer of Dnotitia. "As models search and verify information repeatedly, retrieval needs its own processing layer. VDPU is designed to give CPU capacity back to applications and keep GPU HBM focused on model execution. At AI Infra Summit, we showcased VDPU at server scale and opened discussions with infrastructure partners around evaluation and integration."

The FPGA platform has been validated with FAISS, Milvus and hnswlib across brute-force KNN, IVF, NSW and HNSW indexes. Beyond the stacks already ported to the FPGA platform, Dnotitia plans to support a broader range of vector libraries and databases on the ASIC so that VDPU can work with the environments customers already run.

Dnotitia's first-generation VDPU ASIC is currently undergoing chip-level characterization. The company plans to begin ASIC-based VDPU evaluations in Q4 2026. Dnotitia is targeting up to 10x vector-search performance versus a CPU-based server with its VDPU ASIC-based server.

During the summit, Se-Hyun Yang presented "Rethinking AI Infrastructure with Dedicated Vector Silicon," outlining the architecture and performance results behind VDPU. Dnotitia also met with prospective customers and infrastructure partners at Booth 205 to discuss VDPU evaluations, proof-of-concept projects and potential integration into existing server, storage, and AI infrastructure.

Following the event, the company is continuing discussions with server, storage, memory and semiconductor companies, as well as vector database providers and AI framework developers, as it expands server-scale VDPU evaluations and prepares for ASIC-based evaluation in Q4 2026.
