TrinaTracker Launches Two Robots to Expand its Smart PV Ecosystem

CHANGZHOU, China, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- TrinaTracker, a global provider of smart tracking systems and a wholly owned subsidiary of Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (SHA: 688599), has launched two self-developed robotic products: BUILDEX PV Module Installation Robot and AURORA PV Cleaning Robot, to expand its Smart PV Ecosystem.

Since the beginning of the year, TrinaTracker has transformed from a tracking system equipment supplier into a Smart PV and Robotics Solution Provider. By integrating high-reliability trackers, AI algorithms, installation and cleaning robots, as well as engineering and intelligent operations services, the company delivers a full lifecycle solution for PV power plants by optimizing plant design, improving construction and O&M quality, and reducing operational costs.

BUILDEX PV Module Installation Robot: Breaking Construction Bottlenecks

Large-scale PV projects have traditionally relied heavily on manual module installation, resulting in heavy labor input, long construction cycles, high costs, inconsistent installation precision and safety risks, hindering barriers to standardized rollout. BUILDEX reshapes PV construction through automated, standardized and intelligent workflows.

Powered by high-precision AI vision positioning and integrated precision mechanical control systems, BUILDEX autonomously completes module picking, transportation, alignment and placement. It adapts to complex terrain and diverse tracker layouts, reducing labor intensity and safety risks while improving installation accuracy and delivery speed for large-scale solar bases.

- Millimeter-level visual perception for precise construction: Equipped with industrial 3D cameras and AI vision algorithms, the robot identifies modules and structure to achieve millimeter-accurate alignment and standardized laying. A LiDAR-AI multi-sensing safety system prevents on-site risks.

- Automation sets new efficiency benchmarks: The robot installs up to 90 modules per hour, 3–4 times faster than manual labor. Its innovative fork-and-flip mechanism supports automatic feeding and is compatible with both landscape and portrait mounting, streamlining material handling and site schedules.

- Wide compatibility for complex terrain and trackers: The height-adjustable robotic base works with fixed and tracking brackets as well as 1P/2P modules. With 17° platform levelling capability, it operates reliably on sloped land and expands viable construction scenarios.

- Round-the-clock operation to cut capital costs: Free from human fatigue and weather limitations, BUILDEX runs continuously to shorten installation cycles, reduce manpower and lower overall construction costs.

AURORA PV Cleaning Robot: Safeguarding Energy Yield and Enabling Refined Smart O&M

PV plants operate under harsh outdoor conditions. Dust and stains on module surfaces block sunlight and reduce power generation, undermining long-term plant revenue. Conventional manual cleaning is constrained by terrain, weather, labor and safety risks, making it unsuitable for large-scale refined O&M. AURORA delivers unmanned, non-damaging, regular and intelligent cleaning to maintain module cleanliness, boost power output, lower long-term O&M costs and unlock asset value.

- Self-correcting intelligent algorithms for tough sites: Powered by high-performance hardware and proprietary self-correction algorithms, AURORA overcomes height offsets of up to 50 mm to sustain continuous cleaning on complex sites.

- Autonomous route planning with active risk avoidance: Drawing real-time data from the plant, trackers and environmental sensors, it generates optimal cleaning plans and takes proactive safety measures.

- Self-powered operation for closed-loop regular O&M: Powered by PV modules with self-cleaning functions, it performs unattended cyclic cleaning, reducing routine management workload and expenses.

Combining AI & Robotics: Redefining PV Asset Value

TrinaTracker's investment in AI and robotics is not merely hardware iteration, but a strategic upgrade of its full-stack "Tracker+" smart energy ecosystem. AI serves as the digital brain for robotic hardware, connecting construction automation and routine O&M. Physical PV assets are coupled with digital twins to help plant owners lower LCOE and maximize asset value.

Global operational data from TrinaTracker's worldwide portfolio fuels continuous AI algorithm optimization, equipping its robots with strong adaptability for complex terrain, extreme weather and dynamic structural conditions. Robot data integrates with Trina's digital platform to create a new model of fully automated, intelligent PV plant management.

The rollout of AI robotic products marks a key milestone in TrinaTracker's transformation from "equipment leadership" to "digital & intelligent leadership". Moving forward, TrinaTracker will continue advancing PV intelligence, enriching its robot portfolio and deepening AI integration across PV scenarios to refine the "Tracker+" ecosystem. The company will deliver all-in-one smart PV solutions to accelerate global solar development and support clean energy transition and carbon neutrality goals.

Amap Launches Spatial Intelligence Open Platform for No-Code AI Agents in Location Services

HANGZHOU, China, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Amap Platform, Amap's global provider of location-based solutions, has launched Qianyu, a spatial-intelligence open platform that incorporates its location and mapping capabilities into standardized agentic tools. Developers and enterprises can deploy agents through natural-language prompts, with no coding required.

The announcement came at the 2026 Apsara Conference in Hangzhou. Amap Platform showcased how it is applying spatial intelligence to two-wheel mobility, AIoT devices, and overseas services.

Cui Yong, General Manager of Amap Platform, said the company had transformed spatial intelligence into ready-to-use agents and made them available to developers and enterprises, enabling AI not only to understand space and perceive changes but also to support decision-making for real-world businesses.

While large language models primarily focused on answering questions in the digital world, many real-world tasks—such as choosing store locations, routing fleets, and ensuring riders' safety—also rely on understanding physical places, road networks, buildings, and how the city and surroundings change over time.

The Qianyu open platform is structured around the 'Point-Line-Plane-Dynamic' framework, integrating points of interest (POIs), roads, buildings, regions and time-series information into a machine-readable spatial system. As of August 2026, the platform includes more than 80 million POIs, over 5 million kilometers of roads and 7,500 square kilometers of three-dimensional models. It has expanded the information coverage to include addresses, travel times, building outlines, and area-level heatmaps.

Users can give natural-language instructions to the agent on Qianyu; the agent will then determine the spatial-temporal scope, gather information, verify with multiple sources, and then provide actionable and traceable recommendations. Tasks such as store location selection, neighborhood analysis, and demand heatmap generation usually take days to complete. With Qianyu, these tasks can be packaged into an agent-executable workflow, substantially improving operating efficiency for enterprise users, the company said.

Amap also extends features previously used in car navigation, such as lane-level guidance and traffic-light countdowns, to two-wheel mobility scenarios for scooters and motorcycles. Its 'Eagle Eye Guardian' alert system for two-wheel mobility provides beyond-line-of-sight warnings and flags high-risk situations including rear-end collision, dooring accidents and lane-cutting.

Its spatial solution is now compatible with Android, Linux, OpenHarmony and RTOS. The company also deepens its collaboration with mobility brands such as Niu Technologies and Ninebot.

In AIoT scenarios, Amap partners with brands including Xiaomi and Qwen Glasses to embed standardized spatial intelligence into wearables. Users can search for nearby places by voice and receive turn-by-turn instructions through smart glasses, or hail a ride from a smartwatch with a single voice command.

For developers and partners worldwide, Amap Platform continues to make its spatial intelligence capabilities available based on its World Map service. The solution is being built as a spatial-intelligence layer covering address records, route planning, navigation, and dispatch support. This applies to mobile apps and systems for enterprises' operating and fleet-dispatch systems.

Amap said the World Map now includes more than 300 million continuously updated POIs and over 900 million address records, with support for Chinese, English and local-language adaptation.

Amap World Map service supports navigation for driving, cycling, walking and motorcycle for logistics platforms, on-demand delivery, local services and online travel operators. Amap is extending to international markets a set of navigation capabilities already available and tested in China, including junction views, lane-level guidance, voice prompts and turn-by-turn instructions grounded in real-world road-network attributes. These features can be integrated directly into enterprise applications and operating systems.

Constant Contact Announces Chelsea Captain Erin Cuthbert as Small Business Ambassador
Image File
Original HTML

LONDON, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Constant Contact, the marketing platform that helps small businesses grow, today announced that newly appointed Chelsea FC Women (CFCW) captain, Erin Cuthbert, will join Constant Contact as a Small Business Ambassador, using the platform to power her own brand's marketing while championing small business owners across the UK.

Cuthbert brings first-hand experience of small business ownership, having independently launched a specialty coffee business, Ruby Alba, earlier this year. Cuthbert will use Constant Contact to reach and grow her customer base – and share what she learns as she goes. Through Constant Contact's partnership with CFCW, she'll also connect with other small business owners who have been at it far longer, giving their stories a bigger platform while drawing on their hard-won experience for her own.

"99% of players can't live off football forever, that's just the reality," says Cuthbert. "I love coffee – it's genuinely my happy place – so I want Ruby Alba to be there for me when my football career eventually ends. I'm buzzing to work with Constant Contact and learn how to market properly, so the business can keep ticking along in the background while I prioritise football. Being part of the leadership team at Chelsea FC Women and running Ruby Alba are completely different – the former is a team and the latter is just me. I definitely prefer winning with the girls around me; we've got trophies to win and I've got a lot more growth in me as a player. But building something on my own has taught me tons."

Cuthbert runs Ruby Alba as a team of one – sourcing from a roaster in her native Scotland, building the brand, and handling the marketing herself, all around a full-time football career. That's exactly the owner Constant Contact is built for. The platform brings email, social, and events together in one place and does the heavy lifting on the work most solo owners don't have time for: creating content, targeting the right customers, and turning results into clear insights that show what's working. For an owner running everything themselves, it works like a marketing team that never clocks off – keeping things moving even when she's on the pitch.

"Erin is hungry for growth, on and off the pitch," comments Frank Vella, CEO, Constant Contact. "You can see that determination in everything she's achieved at Chelsea FC Women, and it's what makes her such a natural fit for this partnership. We're excited to give Ruby Alba the same support Erin's had throughout her football career, and to show a generation of talented entrepreneurs what's possible when you combine a great attitude with great tools."

The ambassadorship builds on Constant Contact's multi-year partnership with Chelsea FC Women, which focuses on empowering female founders and driving growth for women across sport and business. Through joint initiatives like The Growth Locker education hub, the partnership equips everyday entrepreneurs with the tools and mentorship needed to scale sustainable ventures.

Scania Irizar i6S Efficient PHEV wins Sustainable Bus Award 2027

The Scania Irizar i6S Efficient PHEV wins the Sustainable Bus Award 2027 in the Coach category, recognising its plug-in hybrid platform as an innovative solution for reducing fuel consumption by up to 47 percent and emissions by up to 94 percent in long-distance coach operations, while enabling up to 70 km in electric mode to increase comfort and support zero-emission zone compliance.

SÖDERTÄLJE, Sweden, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sustainable Bus Award jury recognised the originality and coherence of how the i6S Efficient PHEV introduces plug-in hybrid technology to tourist transport and long-distance coach operations.

The solution combines a 338 kW Scania Super 13-litre engine with two 145 kW electric machines and an 89 kWh lithium-ion battery, contributing to excellent driveability. The 3-axle configuration provides up to 70 km of electric driving with the 2-axle variant offering a range of up to 80 km.

"Long-distance coach operations need solutions that work across very different parts of the journey. With this plug-in hybrid platform, operators can use electric driving where it is required or creates customer value, while retaining and extending the range their operation demands and drastically reducing costs and emissions," says Anders Liss, Global Head of Business Solutions, People Transport Solutions, Scania.

In favourable operating conditions, including en-route charging and an operation suited to making effective use of the electric powertrain, the plug-in hybrid solution can reduce fuel consumption by 47 percent compared with a conventional powertrain. The hybrid powertrain also provides efficiency benefits when external charging is not available.

The four drive modes: Electric, Hybrid, Charge Sustain and Forced Charging, allow energy to be managed according to route characteristics and charging strategy.

For services, the system is supported by Scania's digital ecosystem, which includes tools for monitoring charging and range, analysing driving style, predictive maintenance, remote diagnostics and fleet performance management.

The battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 44 minutes. Regenerative braking, electrified auxiliaries and intelligent energy management further contribute to reducing energy demand.

The combustion engine is compatible with renewable fuels. When plug-in hybrid operation is combined with HVO, CO₂ emissions can be reduced by up to 94 percent.

"These are two complementary possibilities. The plug-in hybrid powertrain reduces fuel consumption by using electricity efficiently throughout the operation. Renewable fuel can then further reduce the CO₂ emissions associated with the fuel that is still needed," says Liss.

The improvements in aerodynamics and the weight reduction coming with the Efficiency body, further contribute to lowering energy demand, fuel consumption and associated emissions.

The jury particularly highlighted the ability to use electric propulsion in urban areas, terminals and zero-emission zones while having all the range required for longer assignments. It also recognised the potential to reduce fuel consumption and emissions even with the infrastructure and operational constraints that still limit the use of fully electric coaches.

The award for the Scania Irizar i6S Efficient follows its Label of Excellence for Driveline Technology in the 2025 Busworld Vehicle Awards.

The Sustainable Bus Award is a European award recognising sustainability in the bus and coach industry. Its assessment takes a broad view of sustainability, including vehicle performance, safety, comfort, environmental impact and the manufacturer's overall approach to sustainable transport.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® and Al-Ghunaim Celebrate 130-Café Milestone in Kuwait

A 20-year partnership built on people, customer loyalty and a shared commitment to exceptional café experiences.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® (CBTL) and Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. celebrate the opening of the brand's 130th café in Kuwait, marking more than 20 years of partnership and a remarkable scale of growth in a market of approximately five million people. Today, the Kuwait business is supported by more than 1,135 employees across its cafés, operations and support functions, reflecting the significant footprint Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. has built in the market.

Since opening its first The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® café in Salmiya on 16 December 2004, Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. has built CBTL into one of Kuwait's leading premium café brands. What began as a single café has grown into a network embedded in communities across the country, built on a commitment to serving simply the best coffee and tea and creating meaningful everyday experiences for customers.

Mr. Abdulghani Al-Ghunaim, Chairman of Al-Ghunaim Trading Co., has been central to this journey. His vision and leadership have guided the business through rapid expansion, changing consumer preferences, the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing regional uncertainty, while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience.

"Reaching this milestone is a meaningful achievement for Al-Ghunaim Trading Co., but more importantly, it represents the trust our customers have placed in us and the dedication of the people who have built this business over more than two decades. We are proud of what we have achieved together with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® and grateful to everyone who has contributed to this journey. We look forward to building on this strong foundation and continuing to serve our customers and communities across Kuwait."

— Mr. Mishary Al-Ghunaim, Chief Executive Officer, Al-Ghunaim Trading Co.

"Our partnership with Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. reflects a shared commitment to our customers, the brand and sustainable growth. We are proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to continuing our journey together."

— Ken Lingan, Chief Executive Officer, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®

At the heart of this achievement are the people who represent the brand every day, from baristas and café managers to operations, supply chain and support teams. In the cafés, warm and welcoming teams help make each customer's day a little better. Their shared commitment to quality, service and operational excellence has enabled Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. to grow the business while preserving the café experience customers have come to expect from CBTL. Beyond coffee and tea, the cafés provide spaces for customers to pause, create and connect — becoming part of the everyday moments that matter.

The strength of that customer connection has also been recognised. In 2025, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Kuwait received the "First Café Award 2025" and was named among the "Top 10 Brands 2025" by Service Hero Kuwait, an independent customer satisfaction index evaluating more than 900 brands across 18 industries. The recognition marked the third consecutive year CBTL Kuwait was ranked among the country's top-performing brands.

Beyond its cafés, Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. continues to contribute to the communities it serves through employment opportunities and social initiatives. In 2026, the company reaffirmed this commitment with a US$1 million contribution to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund.

Looking ahead, Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. and CBTL will focus on further strengthening the brand's position as one of Kuwait's leading café brands, with success measured by the strength of its network, customer preference and overall brand equity. Continued investment in innovation, people and operational excellence will support the next chapter of growth.
