New data finds Los Angeles market saw 100% increase in activity on match days

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Passport, the most trusted technology partner for innovative curb management solutions, today released new data showing how cities across North America maintained parking compliance and curb operations throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup as host cities managed changing levels of tournament-related activity.

Across five World Cup host cities: Boston, Kansas City, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Seattle, Passport supported cities and transportation agencies with parking payments, enforcement, permitting, and other curb management operations throughout the tournament. Match-day data shows parking data varied across markets, with some cities remaining close to typical levels while others saw significant increases, highlighting how cities can maintain parking compliance and curb operations even as parking and curb activity changes during large-scale events.

"Large-scale events like the World Cup, Super Bowl and Olympics can put tremendous pressure on a city's transportation and curb infrastructure, which is why we are so steadfast in ensuring our technology is reliable, scalable and ready when cities need it most," said Khristian Gutierrez, co-founder and CEO of Passport. "We understand the impact these events can have on communities, and our role is to give cities the technology and support they need to manage increased demand seamlessly while continuing to deliver a great experience for residents, visitors and businesses."

According to Passport's data, match-day parking data varied by market, with some cities seeing measurable increases compared with their typical parking and curb activity:

- Boston: Parking activity remained largely consistent with normal patterns across match days, ranging from 2.2% below to 2.0% above baseline.

- Kansas City: Parking increased on five of six match days, including a 45%% increase above baseline on July 11.

- Los Angeles: Inglewood saw parking increase by 100% or more on several match days as it hosted games at SoFi Stadium, while enforcement activity also exceeded baseline across all eight match days.

- Toronto: The city's transit-first mobility plan prioritized public transport for fans travelling to matches, with temporary closures of multiple parking zones near the stadium supporting the approach throughout the tournament.

- Seattle: Game days ran +249% higher notices of violation per permit than other days during the World Cup as a whole.

The data underscores the importance of flexible curb management infrastructure that can adapt to the unique needs of each community and event. Whether parking remained close to normal or increased significantly during match days, cities need technology that can scale with changing demand while helping maintain compliance and keep curb operations moving.

Passport's support for World Cup host cities extended beyond parking payments. In Kansas City, Passport supported mobile payment operations as the city prepared to welcome fans for six World Cup matches. In Seattle, Passport supported Sound Transit's permitting operations for World Cup activities, helping the agency manage a tournament-specific program.

Passport's work supporting World Cup host cities builds on its experience helping cities manage some of the largest and most complex events in North America. By providing integrated parking, enforcement, permitting and payment technology, Passport enables local governments and transportation agencies to adapt curb operations as demand changes, whether during a global sporting event or an ordinary day in the community.

Passport serves more than 800 municipalities and private operators across North America and has processed more than $4 billion in curbside payment volume. To learn more, visit passportinc.com.

In HelloNation, Expert Auto Dealer Steve Lustig Explains the Difference Between Leasing &amp; Financing
Image File
Original HTML

The article reviews how driving habits, monthly budgets, and future plans may influence leasing and financing decisions.

DENVILLE, N.J., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- How can drivers decide whether leasing or financing is the better fit for their transportation needs? HelloNation has published an article featuring insights from Steve Lustig of Autosport Acura of Denville, explaining how drivers can evaluate vehicle leasing and auto financing based on lifestyle, financial priorities, and long-term vehicle goals.

The article explains that choosing between vehicle leasing and auto financing can significantly affect monthly expenses, vehicle flexibility, and long-term ownership costs. Some drivers prioritize lower monthly payments and the opportunity to drive newer vehicles more frequently, while others prefer the long-term ownership advantages associated with financing. According to the article, understanding how each option works may help drivers make more informed transportation decisions.

One of the largest differences discussed throughout the article involves ownership itself. Auto financing allows drivers to gradually build ownership value as monthly payments reduce the balance of the vehicle loan over time. Once the loan is paid in full, the driver owns the vehicle outright and may continue driving it without loan payments. Long-term ownership is often attractive for individuals planning to keep a vehicle for many years or who prefer greater flexibility without yearly mileage restrictions.

Vehicle leasing works differently because drivers are generally paying for the portion of the vehicle used during the lease term rather than purchasing the vehicle completely. Because of this structure, leasing often results in lower monthly payments compared to financing a similar model. According to the article, lower monthly payments may allow drivers to access premium vehicles, upgraded safety systems, and newer technology that may otherwise exceed their preferred budget range.

The HelloNation article also highlights how rapidly changing automotive technology influences leasing decisions. Many drivers value having access to newer technology, including upgraded infotainment systems, fuel efficiency improvements, advanced driver assistance features, and evolving safety systems. Vehicle leasing may allow drivers to upgrade to newer models every few years while reducing concerns about aging technology or resale value.

Yearly mileage is another important factor reviewed throughout the article. Most vehicle leasing agreements include yearly mileage limits, and exceeding those limits may result in additional charges at the end of the lease term. Drivers with longer commutes, unpredictable travel schedules, or extensive road travel may find auto financing more suitable for their vehicle usage needs. Evaluating realistic yearly mileage ahead of time may help drivers avoid unnecessary expenses later.

Maintenance expectations also play an important role in the decision-making process. The article explains that vehicle leasing often aligns with manufacturer warranty coverage during the lease period, which may reduce concerns about larger repair expenses while the vehicle remains relatively new. Financing may involve greater maintenance responsibilities later as vehicles age beyond manufacturer warranty coverage. Some drivers prefer the predictability associated with leasing newer vehicles, while others accept long-term maintenance costs in exchange for ownership value.

The article further explains that lifestyle changes may influence whether leasing or financing feels more practical. Career changes, growing families, relocation plans, and evolving transportation needs may all affect how long someone plans to keep a vehicle. Vehicle usage beyond commuting should also be considered. Drivers who travel frequently, transport equipment, or customize vehicles may prefer long-term ownership because financing offers greater flexibility.

The article concludes that there is no universal answer when comparing vehicle leasing and auto financing. Carefully evaluating yearly mileage, vehicle usage, maintenance expectations, financial goals, and preferences regarding newer technology may help drivers select the option that best supports their everyday needs and long-term satisfaction.

Lease vs. Finance: What Drivers Should Consider Before Choosing features insights from Steve Lustig, Expert Auto Dealer of Denville, NJ, in HelloNation.

PrescriberPoint becomes an athenahealth Solution Partner, now available in the athenahealth Marketplace

PrescriberPoint joins athenahealth Marketplace; national EHR integration to scale AI-powered prior authorization and expand "Prescribing Intelligence" for more than 170,000 providers

BOSTON, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PrescriberPoint, a provider of AI-powered prescribing tools and support through its point-of-care platform, today announced it has joined athenahealth's Partner Community as a Solution Partner. Its prior authorization solution is now available in the athenahealth Marketplace, providing access to athenahealth's growing network of healthcare providers. The new integration enables healthcare providers to initiate and complete prior authorizations directly within their e-prescribing workflow.

PrescriberPoint takes on the administrative weight of prior authorization so clinicians and their staff can stay focused on patients. Through the integration, athenahealth providers can:

- Reduce the hours typically spent assembling and submitting PAs, with clinical and patient details pulled together automatically

- Get patients on therapy faster — in some cases starting complex treatments in as few as 48 hours

- Move denials forward without starting from scratch, with appeals and supporting documentation prepared automatically

In a recent study conducted by PrescriberPoint, clinicians accepted 94.5 percent of the agent's answers to payer questions without changes, reviewing and approving each submission before it reaches the payer.

"Prior authorization is one of the most time-consuming parts of getting a patient on therapy," said Dan Cornwell, CEO of PrescriberPoint. "By integrating our prior authorization solution into the e-prescribing workflow, we take the administrative work off the provider's plate — the clinical, coverage, and patient details are already there — and prepare the submission for them. For athenahealth's providers that means less paperwork and patients who can start treatment sooner."

Through the Marketplace, customers can discover, deploy, and scale integrated solutions that extend athenaOne®, helping streamline workflows and improve clinical and financial performance. PrescriberPoint joins athenahealth's ecosystem of integrated solutions available to more than 170,000 clinicians on the athenaOne network.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Century Casinos, Inc. (Nasdaq Capital Market®: CNTY) ("Century Casinos" or the "Company") announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell the racing and gaming operations of Century Mile Racetrack and Casino in Edmonton, Alberta ("Century Mile") and Century Downs Racetrack and Casino in Calgary, Alberta ("Century Downs") to Highfield Investment Group ("Highfield" or the "Buyer") for an aggregate purchase price of approximately $16.4 million (CAD 23.2 million based on the exchange rate of 0.7074 CAD/USD on September 27, 2026), representing a 6.1x multiple of FY 2025 EBITDA.

Century Casinos owns 100% of Century Mile and a 75% interest in Century Downs; noncontrolling partners own the remaining 25% of Century Downs.

The real estate underlying Century Mile and Century Downs is owned by subsidiaries of VICI Properties Inc. (NYSE: VICI) ("VICI") and is leased to the operating companies under the Company's existing triple-net master lease agreement (the "Master Lease"). In connection with the closing, subsidiaries of the Company and VICI will amend the Master Lease to remove the Century Mile and Century Downs properties, and Highfield will become the new tenant of these properties and be responsible for the associated rent obligations going forward. With the removal of these two properties from Century's Master Lease, the Company's annual rent will be reduced by approximately $7.5 million (CAD 10.7 million based on the exchange rate of 0.7074 CAD/USD on September 27, 2026).

The Company intends to use the proceeds from the transaction to reduce its indebtedness. The transaction is expected to reduce the Company's lease-adjusted net leverage on a pro forma basis.

"As part of our ongoing strategic review process, the sale of Century Mile and Century Downs racinos is an important step towards concentrating our resources on our U.S. properties, where we see the strongest opportunities for growth," Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger, Co-Chief Executive Officers of Century Casinos, remarked. "This transaction improves our financial flexibility and operational efficiency as we focus on our core U.S. assets," they concluded.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 or the first quarter of 2027, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

Macquarie Capital acted as exclusive financial advisor to the Company, and Field Law acted as legal counsel to the Company in connection with the transaction.

The9's AI-Developed Mobile Game "The Greed of Man" Reaches No. 1 on Hong Kong App Store and Google Play Simulation Games Charts

SHANGHAI, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The9 Limited (Nasdaq: NCTY) ("The9" or the "Company"), an established internet company, today announced that its proprietary mobile simulation game "The Greed of Man《大時代》" has reached No. 1 in the Simulation Games category on both the Hong Kong Apple App Store and Google Play following its official launch on September 24, 2026, marking an important milestone in turning The9's AI capabilities into a commercial product.

The game was built on the9bit, The9's proprietary AI game production platform. Rather than relying on a single foundation model, the9bit orchestrates multiple AI models and specialized workflows across the game development lifecycle. A creator can begin with an idea expressed in natural language or an image, which the platform converts into a structured production blueprint. Its orchestration engine then coordinates content generation, debugging, asset creation, integration and other production tasks across these models. The platform also provides an AI-native editing environment in which creators can modify gameplay elements, game parameters and visual assets, and continue refining them through natural-language instructions. By combining foundation models with The9's proprietary orchestration and production layer, this approach is designed to shorten development cycles and make game production more efficient and scalable.

The game is based on the iconic "The Greed of Man《大時代》" intellectual property licensed from Television Broadcasts Limited ("TVB"). Widely regarded as one of the most influential Chinese-language television dramas, "The Greed of Man" has maintained a devoted following among Chinese audiences worldwide for more than three decades.

"The launch of 'The Greed of Man' is an important milestone because it demonstrates how our AI-powered strategy can be applied to the full development and commercial launch of a game," said George Lai, Chief Executive Officer of The9. "Completing the title in approximately eight months, rather than the two to three years a traditional model would typically require, provides tangible evidence of the efficiency we are working to build. Its initial market reception further supports our confidence in this approach. Just as importantly, the development process has generated reusable workflows and production intelligence that can improve how we plan, create and iterate on future titles. We believe this experience provides a practical foundation for advancing our game pipeline and expanding the application of AI across game development."

Building on the game's launch in Hong Kong, The9 plans to introduce "The Greed of Man" in mainland China in the near future, extending the title to a substantially larger market and further leveraging the franchise's recognition among Chinese audiences.

About The9 Limited

Founded in 1999 and listed on Nasdaq in 2004, The9 brings more than two decades of gaming experience to its flagship platform, the9bit, an AI-powered digital asset ecosystem built around AI game creation and the $9BIT token economy. Participants can play games, create content, earn rewards and share in the ecosystem's growth. New report: Trust in network providers is holding back AI and digital transformation initiatives
Image File
Original HTML

58% of enterprise leaders have delayed, scaled back, or introduced additional safeguards around strategic initiatives due to concerns about their network provider, according to new research from Arelion.

STOCKHOLM, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- A new report from Arelion reveals that trust concerns around network providers are directly affecting enterprise strategy. More than half (58%) of senior business leaders say they have delayed, scaled back, or added safeguards around strategic initiatives over the past two years due to concerns about their network provider.

AI and data-driven projects are the initiatives most affected, cited by 49% of respondents who experienced disruption. Security and compliance programs (44%), digital transformation initiatives (42%), cloud migrations (38%), expansion into new markets (30%), and new product or service launches (30%) were also impacted. Meanwhile, 30% of leaders say they have introduced additional resilience or risk mitigation measures around those initiatives.

The findings are published in Arelion's new report, The trust illusion: Why AI and digital transformation need more than a reliable network, which explores the role trust plays in enterprise connectivity decisions and the operational and financial consequences when that trust is tested.

The trust gap

At first glance, confidence in network providers appears strong. Nearly all respondents (93%) say they largely or completely trust their current provider. However, confidence weakens significantly when leaders consider a real-world network incident. Just 15% say they have complete confidence in their provider's ability to detect and resolve a serious network issue quickly, while only a third report moderate or some confidence.

The findings also suggest that trust can be fragile in day-to-day operations. 42% of respondents say their provider falls seriously short of expectations anywhere from a few times a year to monthly or more frequently.

When asked what matters most in building trust with a network provider, leaders ranked protection against security threats highest (48%), followed by reliability and uptime (44%), and performance and latency (37%).

The business impact of trust

The report highlights that trust is not simply a perception issue. It has measurable business consequences. If their network provider experienced a serious failure tomorrow, 40% of leaders expect major operational disruption. Nearly one in five (18%) anticipate significant financial loss or severe financial or reputational damage, rising to 23% among respondents in the United States.

Trust is also influencing purchasing decisions. Nearly two-thirds of leaders (65%) say trust is the dominant or deciding factor in what they are willing to pay for network services. Almost all respondents (98%) say they would pay more for a provider that could consistently demonstrate trustworthiness, with 72% willing to pay between 6% and 20% more and an additional 13% willing to pay more than that.

When asked what would most help earn their trust, transparency emerged as a clear priority, cited by 38% of respondents. Reliability and uptime (22%) and security and data privacy (14%) followed.

Looking ahead

For enterprises already running data-dependent workloads and accelerating towards AI, trust in the network is no longer optional – it is a prerequisite for growth. More than half of respondents (54%) identify AI and automation in network management and security as the biggest future challenge to trust, ahead of data sovereignty requirements (39%), geopolitical instability (39%), regulatory pressures (38%), and quantum computing threats to existing encryption standards (38%).

Against this backdrop, 85% of leaders believe trust in network providers will become more important over the next three years. Respondents identified proactive AI-driven fault prediction, stronger built-in security, responsive support teams, and greater accountability as the factors most likely to strengthen trust in the future.

"These findings make it clear that trust is no longer a soft metric," said Mattias Fridström, Chief Evangelist at Arelion. "Trust is influencing which strategic initiatives move forward, how organizations manage risk, and which providers they choose to work with. As businesses become increasingly reliant on digital infrastructure, enterprises are looking for network providers that can demonstrate transparency, accountability and operational excellence, not just availability."

Study Methodology

This research was conducted on behalf of Arelion by Savanta, a global leader in digital data collection. An online survey was carried out in 2026 with 518 senior enterprise network decision-makers across the US, UK, Germany and France.

All participants work for organizations with more than 2,000 employees, and all have decision-making influence over their company's network development strategy, including data center, cloud and connectivity, with 66% holding the final word and sign-off responsibility for this area.

capacity across a major carrier's national footprint without adding any hardware

WARRENVILLE, Ill., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Aglocell, Inc. (Aglocell), a developer of AI-powered wireless network optimization software, announced results from live network trials with a U.S. Tier-1 wireless carrier that delivered dramatic capacity and performance improvements using software only. Across two distinctly different markets, a 60-plus site network in a major metropolitan area and a customer-experience-focused deployment in a rural market, Aglocell's SpectraMax software demonstrated that carriers can unlock significant new value from their existing infrastructure without the cost and complexity of expensive network capacity buildouts.

"We found a terabyte of additional capacity in this carrier's network, clearly demonstrating that by leveraging our SpectraMax technology, wireless networks can dramatically unlock capacity at a fraction of the cost of legacy physical rollouts," said Bruce Peterson, Founder and Managing Director of Aglocell. "That's the equivalent of adding roughly a third of an entirely new layer of spectrum capacity, which would normally cost the carrier approximately $43,000 per cell site in new hardware, tower climbs and deployment. When you multiply that across a national footprint of tens-of-thousands of sites, you're looking at more than a billion dollars in value that can be realized through software instead of spectrum, radios, steel and concrete."

The results come at a critical time for the wireless industry. According to Dell'Oro Group, Radio Access Network (RAN) capital expenditure is forecast to remain flat or decline over the next five years, forcing carriers to find more cost efficient ways to improve network capacity, quality and experience. Traditional approaches to expanding network capacity, which include purchasing spectrum licenses, purchasing and deploying new RAN hardware, and dispatching tower crews are expensive, time-consuming and increasingly difficult to justify under ongoing revenue pressures.

Metro Area Case Study: Turning Existing Spectrum Into Millions in Savings

Aglocell deployed SpectraMax across 60-plus cell sites in a major U.S. city and achieved a 4.1% network-wide capacity increase during the peak busy hour, the equivalent of approximately one terabyte of additional data throughput. In carrier terms, that gain represents one-third of a full new frequency layer, a physical buildout that would typically cost the operator $43,000 per cell site, or nearly $2.6 million across those 60-plus sites. Instead, Aglocell delivered approximately $2.6 million in equivalent capacity value at a fraction of the cost, representing a potential10x return on investment. The carrier has signaled plans to expand the deployment to a significantly larger market cluster.

Rural Market Case Study: Improving the Everyday Customer Experience

In a separate trial in a more rural area, Aglocell addressed a different customer challenge: the quality of everyday wireless service. Using SpectraMax with newly enhanced optimization features, Aglocell improved network quality, elevating the carrier's RootMetrics® US Overall RootScore®, which is a composite score made of numerous network quality measurements.

During this trial, SpectraMax showed dramatic improvement in several areas including call handling, reliability and responsiveness. Call handling evaluates how reliably a call can be initiated and held without dropping. Reliability measures the ability to access the network without blocks and drops. Responsiveness measures how quickly and smoothly the network handles common user tasks like browsing or launching applications. The improvement in these areas helped boost the overall network ranking into a first-place tie in the test market. The carrier has previously correlated similar network performance gains with measurable improvements in customer satisfaction scores and growth in subscriber revenue.

"Aglocell's ability to show concrete capacity gains and real customer experience improvements across two very different markets allows them to differentiate themselves from traditional and competitive offerings," said Patrick Lopez, CEO of {Core Analysis}. "As carriers face flat or declining capital budgets, software-driven approaches like this will become a critical factor in driving subscriber growth and increasing revenue."

Aglocell's SpectraMax platform is designed to operate across multiple vendor environments, supporting leading automation platforms including the Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP) and Snowflake, with integration planned for Nokia MantaRay and Samsung's SMO solution. This open, vendor-agnostic architecture allows carriers with multi-vendor networks to deploy a single optimization engine rather than managing separate tools for each equipment provider, avoiding vendor lock-in.

Additional SpectraMax Benefits:

- Real-Time AI Optimization: SpectraMax leverages advanced AI to automatically and continuously find and fix performance bottlenecks across 4G and 5G networks.

- Increased Network Capacity Requiring No New Hardware: Live 60-plus site trial produced one terabyte of additional peak-hour capacity by intelligently redistributing traffic across the carrier's existing towers and spectrum, the equivalent of adding costly new infrastructure.

- Millions in Avoided Capex Spending: Software-driven RAN capacity scaling eliminates network exhaustion, lowering capital costs during a period of tightening wireless budgets.

SpectraMax is commercially available and operational today. For more information, visit aglocell.com.

CHARLESTON, S.C., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CohenMalad, LLP, Heins Mills & Olson, P.L.C., and Preti Flaherty Beliveau & Pachios LLP announce that the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina has granted final approval to settlements with Lafarge North America, Inc. ("Lafarge"), Thomas Concrete, Inc. and Thomas Concrete of South Carolina, Inc. (together, "Thomas") and Evans Concrete, LLC ("Evans") (collectively, the "Settlements"), and has approved a plan of distribution of the amounts paid pursuant to those Settlements.

The Settlements are part of a class action lawsuit against Lafarge, Thomas, Evans, Argos USA LLC and Argos Ready Mix LLC (together, "Argos"), Coastal Concrete Southeast II, LLC ("Coastal") and Elite Concrete, LLC ("Elite"), which claims that these companies participated in an unlawful conspiracy to raise, fix, maintain, or stabilize the price of Ready-Mix Concrete from January 1, 2010 through July 31, 2016. The lawsuit is entitled Pro Slab, Inc., et al. v. Argos USA LLC, et al., Case No. 2:17-cv-03185-BHH ("Lawsuit"). Lafarge, Thomas, Evans, Argos, Coastal and Elite are collectively the "Defendants."

Who is eligible to submit a Claim? You are a "Settlement Class Member" and eligible to file a Claim Form to share in distributions from the Settlements if you purchased Ready-Mix Concrete directly from one or more of several "Subject Plants" operated by any of the Defendants at any time from January 1, 2010 through and including July 31, 2016 (the "Class Period"). A list of the Subject Plants can be found at www.SavannahConcreteCase.com.

If you previously requested exclusion from one or more of the Settlements, you are not eligible to file a Claim Form and receive distributions from that Settlement.

How do I submit a Claim? All Settlement Class Members who wish to receive any of the Lafarge, Thomas or Evans Settlement funds recovered in the Lawsuit MUST submit a Claim Form by:

- Visiting the Settlement Website at www.SavannahConcreteCase.com to complete a Claim Form and file your claim online by November 16, 2026; or

- Requesting a Claim Form from the Settlement Administrator at 1-888-999-5317 or [email protected], completing and signing the Claim Form, and mailing it to the Settlement Administrator so that it is postmarked by November 16, 2026.

Please visit the Settlement Website at www.SavannahConcreteCase.com for more information about filing a Claim Form.

Are all of my purchases from the Defendants eligible for Claims? Settlement Class Member distributions will be based on the amount of their "Qualifying Purchases" of Ready-Mix Concrete, which are those direct purchases of Ready-Mix Concrete from one of the Subject Plants during the Class Period for which a completed and signed Claim Form has been submitted. "Qualifying Purchases" do not include materials or products other than Ready-Mix Concrete, such as separately charged admixtures, material additives or building materials, or separately charged service fees. However, Qualifying Purchases do include environmental fees, fuel surcharges and minimum load charges.

How are Qualifying Purchases determined? For many Settlement Class Members, the amount of their Qualifying Purchases can be determined from records provided by the Defendants. To find out if Qualifying Purchase information is available for you from the Defendants' records, visit the Settlement Website at www.SavannahConcreteCase.com to begin the claims process, or contact the Settlement Administrator at 1-888-999-5317 or [email protected].

Qualifying Purchase information from Defendants' records is incomplete for some Settlement Class Members. If you believe the information available from Defendants' records does not include some or all of your Qualifying Purchases, you will have the opportunity to submit a Claim Form with supporting documentation identifying additional Qualifying Purchases.

How much will I receive from the Settlements? The amount a Settlement Class Member will receive from the Settlements will be determined by dividing the amount of their Qualifying Purchases by the total amount of other Settlement Class Members' Qualifying Purchases to calculate a pro rata percentage, which will then be applied to the funds available for distribution from the Settlements.

Because the pro rata amount a Settlement Class Member will receive depends on the amounts of other Settlement Class Members' Qualifying Purchases, it is not possible to determine the amount of any distributions until after all Claim Forms are submitted and processed.

Please Act Promptly. Your Eligibility to Share in Settlement Distributions is Limited By the Deadlines Stated Above.

Please do not contact the Court regarding this Notice.

U.S. FDA Approves AbbVie's JUVMO™ (tavapadon) for Parkinson's Disease

- JUVMO™ is the first and only selective D1/D5 receptor agonist approved for adults with Parkinson's disease1

- Taken once daily with or without levodopa therapy, JUVMO offers patients a differentiated approach to motor symptom control across the Parkinson's disease continuum

- Approval is supported by the Phase 3 TEMPO program demonstrating significant improvements in daily functioning, increased "on" time without troublesome dyskinesia and a favorable safety profile

NORTH CHICAGO, Ill., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved JUVMO™ (tavapadon) tablets as the first and only selective D1/D5 receptor agonist for the treatment of adults with Parkinson's disease, a progressive neurological disorder that affects millions of people worldwide.

JUVMO Is a New Kind of Treatment for Parkinson's Disease

"The approval of JUVMO marks the first dopaminergic breakthrough for Parkinson's disease in decades," said Roopal Thakkar, M.D., executive vice president, research and development, chief scientific officer, AbbVie. "People living with Parkinson's and the clinicians who care for them have long faced difficult tradeoffs between motor control, treatment burden and tolerability. Clinicians now have a new treatment option that targets dopamine pathways differently and reduces the difficult tradeoffs associated with D2/D3 selective dopamine agonists."

Needed Innovation in the Parkinson's Disease Treatment Landscape

For people living with Parkinson's disease, maintaining consistent control of motor symptoms becomes increasingly challenging as the disease progresses. Oral levodopa remains the foundation of treatment and is often effective at controlling symptoms, but many patients require higher and more frequent doses over time. These adjustments can help restore symptom control yet may also contribute to treatment-related complications such as dyskinesia. About 70% of people living with Parkinson's disease have their oral levodopa dose increased within the first year of therapy.2

These challenges highlight the need for new treatment approaches that can help address the evolving needs of people living with Parkinson's disease. After 85 weeks on JUVMO, 93% of clinical trial participants had not increased their oral levodopa dose and 94% of participants with early Parkinson's disease had not started oral levodopa.3

Dopamine agonists have long been used to help manage symptoms and reduce reliance on oral levodopa escalation. However, currently available dopamine agonists primarily target D2/D3 receptors and their use may be limited by tolerability concerns. JUVMO introduces a different approach, selectively targeting D1/D5 receptors to provide health care providers and patients with a new option for managing motor symptoms across the Parkinson's disease continuum.

Why the Approval of JUVMO Matters for People across the Spectrum of the Disease

"Parkinson's disease treatment has long required health care providers to balance the need for dependable motor symptom control with considerations around treatment tolerability," said Hubert Fernandez, M.D., professor of neurology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and global principal TEMPO trial investigator. "Now we have a novel therapy that selectively targets D1/D5 receptors, which addresses a longstanding need for innovation and provides health care providers with greater flexibility to tailor treatment to individual patient needs."

Perspective from the Parkinson's Community

"For people with Parkinson's and their families, progress means having treatment options that deliver meaningful benefit in everyday life," said Brian Fiske, PhD, chief scientist of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. "Each therapy approval is an important milestone in building a diverse treatment pipeline needed to meet the full range of unmet needs across the Parkinson's community."

AbbVie expects to make JUVMO available to patients in the U.S. in October 2026.

FDA Approval Was Supported by Phase 3 TEMPO Clinical Trial Data

Phase 3 data from the TEMPO clinical trial program demonstrated the efficacy and safety of JUVMO in people with early Parkinson's disease who were not taking oral levodopa (TEMPO-1 and 2) and as an adjunct to oral levodopa in people with Parkinson's disease experiencing motor fluctuations (TEMPO-3).1

- In TEMPO-1 at week 26, JUVMO significantly improved activities of daily living scores versus placebo, as measured by MDS-UPDRS Part II, which includes everyday tasks like dressing, eating and personal hygiene (placebo: +0.9; 5 mg: -1.6; 15 mg: -1.7; p 0.0001 each dose versus placebo).1

- Compared to baseline, JUVMO improved activities of daily living scores by 22-23% whereas the placebo group worsened by 12%.

- Additionally, JUVMO significantly improved activities of daily living and motor skills, as measured by MDS-UPDRS Part II + III combined scores, versus placebo (placebo: +1.8; 5 mg: -9.7; 15 mg: -10.2; p 0.0001 each dose versus placebo) at week 26.4

- JUVMO also significantly improved MDS-UPDRS Part II scores versus placebo in TEMPO-2 at week 26 (placebo: 0.0; 5-15 mg: -1.5; p =0.0007).1

- JUVMO also significantly improved MDS-UPDRS Part II + III combined scores versus placebo in TEMPO-2 at week 26 (placebo: -1.2; 5-15mg: -10.3; p 0.0001).5

- In TEMPO-3 at week 26, JUVMO 5-15 mg + oral levodopa significantly increased total daily "on" time without troublesome dyskinesia versus placebo + oral levodopa (1.7 hours versus 0.6 hours, p 0.0001).1

- Total daily "off" time decreased by 1.9 hours with JUVMO + oral levodopa, compared to a decrease of 0.9 hours with placebo + oral levodopa (p =0.0006).

- Sustained efficacy was observed out to 85 weeks for those who continued in the open-label extension period (TEMPO-4).3

- Of those on JUVMO + oral levodopa for 85 weeks, 93% did not increase their oral levodopa dose (96/103). Of those on JUVMO without levodopa, 94% did not initiate levodopa (257/273).3

- The majority of treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs) were non-serious and mild or moderate in severity.1

- The most common TEAEs for JUVMO without oral levodopa, reported in ≥5% of patients, were nausea, headache, dizziness, fatigue, dysgeusia, vomiting, dry mouth and anxiety.

- For JUVMO + oral levodopa, the most common TEAEs, reported in ≥5% of patients, were nausea, dyskinesia, dizziness, headache, hallucinations and orthostatic hypotension.

About Parkinson's Disease

More than 11 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson's disease,6 a progressive and chronic neurological disorder characterized by tremor, muscle rigidity, slowness of movement and difficulty with balance.7

The motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease begin when approximately 60-80% of the dopamine-producing cells in the brain are lost and symptoms continue to worsen slowly over the course of time.8

As Parkinson's disease progresses, patients may experience complications, including motor and non-motor fluctuations and dyskinesia. Patients report switching from an "on" state (when symptoms are generally well controlled) to an "off" state, during which symptoms such as tremor and stiffness may reappear and patients may have more difficulty moving.9 Patients with later-stage Parkinson's disease may also experience dyskinesia (involuntary movements), which can significantly hinder daily activities.9

USE

JUVMO is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of Parkinson's disease in adults. It is not known if JUVMO is safe and effective in children.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Tell your healthcare provider about all your medical conditions and all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements, as JUVMO (tavapadon) and certain other medicines may affect each other and how they work.

JUVMO may cause serious side effects. Talk to your healthcare provider before starting JUVMO and while on JUVMO if you have had or have any of the following:

- Low blood pressure. This is a common side effect and may be serious. JUVMO can lower your blood pressure and make you feel dizzy, especially when you stand up (orthostatic hypotension). Do not get up too fast from sitting or after lying down. You may be more likely to feel dizzy after starting JUVMO or when your dose is increased.

- Unusual urges. Some people taking medicines for Parkinson's disease, including JUVMO, have had unusual urges. This may include gambling, compulsive eating, compulsive shopping, and increased sex drive.

- Seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not real (hallucinations). This is a common side effect and may be serious. Tell your healthcare provider if you have a mental health problem such as hallucinations.

- Uncontrolled sudden movements (dyskinesia). This is a common side effect and may be serious. If you have new dyskinesia or your dyskinesia gets worse, tell your healthcare provider. This may be a sign that your dose of JUVMO or other Parkinson's medicines may need to be adjusted.

The most common side effects of JUVMO include nausea, headache, change in taste, feeling tired (fatigue), vomiting, dry mouth, and anxiety.

These are not all the possible side effects of JUVMO. For more information, ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist.

KRAS Inhibitor Market Projected to Reach $7.8 Billion by 2034
Image File
Original HTML

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Equity Insider News Commentary - For most of the last four decades, RAS was the target oncology could not hit. That has changed quickly, and the commercial numbers are starting to follow. According to DelveInsight, the KRAS inhibitors market across the seven major markets was valued at approximately $526 million in 2025 and is projected to reach approximately $7.85 billion by 2034, a compound annual growth rate of roughly 35% over its 2024 to 2034 forecast period, with the United States expected to account for nearly 70% of the total. As the first generation of RAS-targeted drugs gives way to broader multi-selective inhibitors, the field's central question is shifting from whether RAS can be drugged to how long those responses can be made to last. Active Companies from around the markets with current developments this week include: Oncolytics Biotech® Inc. (Nasdaq: ONCY), Revolution Medicines, Inc. (Nasdaq: RVMD), Amgen Inc. (Nasdaq: AMGN), Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY), and Verastem Oncology (Nasdaq: VSTM).

Other forecasters size the category differently but point in the same direction. Roots Analysis projects the global KRAS market will grow from approximately $557 million in 2025 to approximately $3.98 billion by 2035, a CAGR of about 21%, and expects intravenously administered therapies to grow at a faster rate than the oral drugs that dominate the category today.

The scale of the opportunity comes down to how common these mutations are. KRAS mutations account for approximately 85% of RAS-associated cancers in humans, including about 90% of pancreatic cancers, according to Eli Lilly and Company. In colorectal cancer, KRAS mutations appear in approximately 40% of all cases, according to Amgen, yet the G12C subtype that the first approved inhibitors were built to target is present in only about 3% to 5% of colorectal cancers. That gap is why the pipeline has moved toward multi-selective and mutation-specific agents aimed at G12D, G12V and other variants that drive pancreatic and colorectal disease.

The clinical bar moved sharply in April 2026, when a Phase 3 trial of an oral RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor in previously treated metastatic pancreatic cancer reported a median overall survival of 13.2 months versus 6.7 months for chemotherapy, according to the sponsor's SEC filing. Results like that have changed the conversation. With RAS inhibition now showing it can extend survival in one of the hardest cancers to treat, attention is turning to what limits it: tumors that adapt, and responses that fade as resistance emerges.

That is where combination strategies come in. Developers are pairing RAS blockade with EGFR antibodies, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other agents in an effort to deepen responses and push resistance further out. Among the approaches being tested is whether an agent that engages the immune system through a different mechanism can work alongside RAS inhibition rather than against it.

Oncolytics Biotech® Inc. (Nasdaq: ONCY) Announces Positive Preclinical Results Combining Pelareorep with a Pan-RAS Inhibitor in Colorectal Cancer

- Pelareorep activity was maintained in the presence of RAS inhibition, with no evidence of antagonism between the two therapies in a RAS-driven colorectal cancer model

- Findings support further evaluation of optimized pelareorep dosing with RAS inhibitors and the hypothesis that it could deepen or prolong responses to RAS-targeted therapy

- FDA written feedback in August 2026 aligned on a potential pivotal Part B expansion of the ongoing REO 033 colorectal cancer study

- Pelareorep holds FDA Fast Track designation in colorectal, anal and pancreatic cancer

Oncolytics Biotech (Nasdaq: ONCY), a clinical-stage immunotherapy company developing pelareorep, announced positive preclinical results on September 10, 2026, from a study evaluating pelareorep in combination with a pan-RAS inhibitor in a RAS-driven colorectal cancer model. During the initial treatment period, when pelareorep was administered every other day, pelareorep, the pan-RAS inhibitor and the combination each reduced tumor growth compared to the control. The greatest tumor reductions were observed in the RAS inhibitor and combination groups, showing that pelareorep activity was maintained alongside RAS inhibition without evidence of antagonism.

The Company was direct about the limits of the result. Following the transition to less frequent weekly pelareorep dosing, the incremental activity associated with pelareorep became less evident. Oncolytics said that, taken together, the findings support further evaluation of optimized pelareorep dosing with RAS inhibitors, and the hypothesis that sustained pelareorep activity could potentially deepen or prolong responses to RAS-targeted therapy and thereby delay the emergence of resistance. The Company also noted the findings are consistent with previously published independent research showing that RAS inhibitors do not interfere with the mechanism through which pelareorep selectively infects tumor cells.

"These results provide an encouraging first look at combining pelareorep with one of the most important emerging classes of targeted cancer therapies," said Thomas Heineman, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Officer of Oncolytics. "We observed pelareorep activity during the initial intensive dosing period as well as biologic compatibility between pelareorep and RAS inhibition, supporting the continued evaluation of pelareorep/RAS inhibitor combination therapy. Because acquired resistance remains a major limitation of RAS-targeted therapies, we believe these findings provide a compelling rationale to investigate whether sustained pelareorep activity can deepen and prolong responses to RAS inhibition and potentially delay the emergence of resistance. Similarly, pelareorep, because of its unique mechanism of action, may offer a treatment option for patients who become resistant to RAS inhibitors."

Oncolytics plans to expand its preclinical evaluation of pelareorep with RAS inhibitors across additional dosing schedules and RAS-driven tumor models, designed to further characterize pelareorep's contribution to the combination, including its potential impact on the depth and durability of tumor response and the development of resistance.

Pelareorep is an intravenously delivered, systemically active, investigational immunotherapy with a dual mechanism of action: it selectively replicates in tumor cells while activating both innate and adaptive anti-tumor immune responses. It has been administered to over 1,200 patients, and the Company is advancing it in combination with chemotherapy and/or checkpoint inhibitors in metastatic gastrointestinal cancers.

The preclinical work sits alongside a colorectal program already moving toward a registrational decision. On August 18, 2026, Oncolytics announced it had received written feedback from the FDA on the design of a potential pivotal Part B expansion of REO 033, its ongoing randomized study of pelareorep with FOLFIRI and bevacizumab versus FOLFIRI and bevacizumab alone in second-line RAS-mutant, microsatellite stable metastatic colorectal cancer. The Company said the feedback represents important alignment on a pathway in which objective response rate could support potential accelerated approval and progression-free survival could support full approval. The FDA also suggested an End-of-Phase meeting to reach final agreement on key elements of the registration program.

"We are thrilled with the response provided by the FDA and believe this feedback could support a highly efficient path to potentially transition REO 033 from its ongoing randomized Part A directly into a pivotal Part B," said Jared Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of Oncolytics. "Importantly, the feedback provides alignment around the potential use of response rate to support an accelerated approval pathway and progression-free survival to support full approval."

The ongoing Part A enrolls 60 patients, and the Company intends to decide whether to launch the pivotal expansion once initial clinical data from Part A are available. Elsewhere in the portfolio, pelareorep received Fast Track designation in July 2026 in combination with a checkpoint inhibitor for second-line and later squamous cell anal cancer, following April 2026 FDA alignment on a pivotal study design in that indication. Oncolytics has also secured a new U.S. patent covering key aspects of pelareorep's commercial manufacturing process, which the Company expects to provide protection into 2044.

There are several risks associated with the Company's plans. The RAS combination findings are preclinical results from a single colorectal cancer model, and preclinical results may not be predictive of results in clinical studies; the Company itself reported that pelareorep's incremental contribution became less evident under weekly dosing. No clinical data combining pelareorep with a RAS inhibitor have been reported. Pelareorep is investigational and has not been approved by the FDA or any other regulator for any indication. FDA written feedback and Fast Track designation do not guarantee approval, the End-of-Phase meeting has not yet been held, and the decision to launch REO 033 Part B depends on Part A data that are not yet available. As a clinical-stage company, Oncolytics will require additional capital to advance its programs and is pursuing strategic partnerships that may not materialize. Readers should review the Company's filings on EDGAR and SEDAR+ and the forward-looking statements in its releases.

A separate forecast from Roots Analysis puts the market at $557 million in 2025 expanding to $3.98 billion by 2035, a 21% CAGR, projecting intravenous therapies will outpace oral drugs in growth rate.</p>\n\n<h5>KRAS mutations drive up to 90% of pancreatic cancers and 40% of colorectal cases</h5>\n<p>KRAS mutations account for approximately 85% of RAS-associated human cancers, including roughly 90% of pancreatic cancers, according to Eli Lilly and Company. Amgen data show KRAS mutations appear in about 40% of colorectal cancers, yet the G12C subtype targeted by first-generation inhibitors is present in only 3% to 5% of those cases, pushing developers toward multi-selective agents targeting G12D, G12V and other variants.</p>\n\n<h5>Phase 3 pancreatic cancer data nearly doubled median survival in April 2026</h5>\n<p>A Phase 3 trial of an oral RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor in previously treated metastatic pancreatic cancer reported median overall survival of 13.2 months versus 6.7 months for chemotherapy, per the sponsor's SEC filing. The result has shifted industry focus toward combination strategies designed to counter tumor adaptation and delay resistance.</p>\n\n<h5>Oncolytics reports no antagonism between pelareorep and pan-RAS inhibition in preclinical model</h5>\n<p>Oncolytics Biotech (Nasdaq: ONCY) announced preclinical results on September 10, 2026, from a RAS-driven colorectal cancer model combining its immunotherapy pelareorep with a pan-RAS inhibitor. During an initial phase of every-other-day dosing, pelareorep, the RAS inhibitor and the combination each reduced tumor growth versus control, with the largest reductions in the RAS inhibitor and combination arms. The company reported no evidence of antagonism between the two agents, though pelareorep's incremental contribution became less evident once dosing shifted to a weekly schedule.</p>\n<p>\"We observed pelareorep activity during the initial intensive dosing period as well as biologic compatibility between pelareorep and RAS inhibition, supporting the continued evaluation of pelareorep/RAS inhibitor combination therapy,\" said Thomas Heineman, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Officer of Oncolytics.</p>\n<p>The company plans to expand preclinical testing across additional dosing schedules and RAS-driven tumor models to characterize pelareorep's effect on response depth, durability and resistance development. Pelareorep has been administered to more than 1,200 patients to date and holds FDA Fast Track designation in colorectal, anal and pancreatic cancer.</p>\n\n<h5>FDA feedback in August 2026 opens path toward pivotal Part B expansion in colorectal cancer</h5>\n<p>On August 18, 2026, Oncolytics disclosed written FDA feedback on a potential pivotal Part B expansion of REO 033, its randomized study of pelareorep plus FOLFIRI and bevacizumab versus FOLFIRI and bevacizumab alone in second-line RAS-mutant, microsatellite stable metastatic colorectal cancer. The agency indicated objective response rate could support accelerated approval while progression-free survival could support full approval, and suggested an End-of-Phase meeting to finalize the registration program. Part A is enrolling 60 patients, and the company will decide on launching Part B once initial Part A data are available.</p>\n<p>Pelareorep separately received Fast Track designation in July 2026 for second-line and later squamous cell anal cancer in combination with a checkpoint inhibitor, following April 2026 FDA alignment on a pivotal study design. Oncolytics has also secured a U.S. patent covering aspects of pelareorep's manufacturing process, with protection expected into 2044.</p>\n\n<h5>Company flags preclinical results as non-predictive of clinical outcomes</h5>\n<p>Oncolytics noted the RAS combination findings derive from a single preclinical colorectal model and that no clinical data combining pelareorep with a RAS inhibitor have been reported. Pelareorep remains investigational and unapproved by any regulator, and the End-of-Phase meeting for REO 033 has not yet occurred.</p>", "meta_description": "KRAS inhibitor market seen reaching $7.85B by 2034; Oncolytics reports preclinical data pairing pelareorep with pan-RAS inhibition and FDA feedback on colorectal trial expansion.", "seo_keywords": "KRAS inhibitors, Oncolytics Biotech, pelareorep, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, FDA feedback, RAS-targeted therapy, oncology market growth", "companies": ["Oncolytics Biotech Inc.", "Revolution Medicines, Inc.", "Eli Lilly and Company"], "industries": ["Biopharmaceuticals"], "markets_regions": ["United States", "Global"], "news_type": ["clinical_trial_results", "regulatory_update", "market_analysis"], "products": ["Pelareorep"], "themes": ["drug_development", "regulatory_compliance", "market_growth"], "events": [], "cta_text": "Read further biotech sector coverage on KRAS-targeted therapy developments", "learn_more": "http://Equity-Insider.com", "fact_check": {"accuracy_score": 100, "legal_risk": "low", "corrections_made": [], "recommendation": "publish"}}
