Zonda and BUILDER recognize Taylor Morrison's CMO for transforming marketing in homebuilding

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- America's Most Trusted® Home Builder Taylor Morrison today announced Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Stephanie McCarty has been named the inaugural CMO of the Year by BUILDER and Zonda, recognizing her work to build a brand that stands out in homebuilding.

McCarty joined Taylor Morrison in 2015 as vice president of corporate communications and went on to become its first chief marketing officer. She built a centralized, in-house marketing team from the ground up, bringing the company's creative talent closer to the business and the people it serves.

"In an industry where many still say brand doesn't matter, Stephanie proves them wrong again and again," said Taylor Morrison Chief Executive Officer Sheryl Palmer. "Her boundless ingenuity and leadership have risen Taylor Morrison to new heights among consumers, in the press, and even on the big screen. I could not be prouder to see Stephanie receive this inaugural honor."

That ambition is visible in work that takes Taylor Morrison beyond familiar homebuilding advertising. Its "Killer House" sweepstakes with Liquid Death brought an unexpected brand pairing to consumers, while its "Homes Built for Real Life" brand platform celebrates the messy, familiar moments of everyday homeownership. Each gives people a way to connect with Taylor Morrison beyond a floor plan.

McCarty and her team have also championed digital tools that give home shoppers greater flexibility, including the ability to explore, personalize and reserve a home online. That work extends the brand's focus on the customer into the shopping experience, helping buyers take the next step on their own terms.

"Homebuilding gives us something pretty extraordinary to work with: the place where people live out their lives," McCarty said. "That deserves marketing with real imagination. I'm grateful to BUILDER and Zonda for shining a light on the work we're doing and on the opportunity for marketers across this industry to keep moving brand forward."

Selected from four finalists, McCarty is the first honoree of this award recognizing marketing's growing influence on the homebuilding business. She will be recognized at Zonda's Accelerate Summit in Park City, Utah, and featured in the fourth-quarter print edition of BUILDER.

"Stephanie has transformed marketing into a powerful driver of growth and customer engagement while helping build the Taylor Morrison brand into one of the most respected and recognizable names in homebuilding," said Zonda President Jeff Meyers. "Her ability to connect brand, customer experience, and business performance has set a standard for marketing excellence across our industry."

The recognition follows McCarty's inclusion on Forbes' 2025 Entrepreneurial CMO 50 list and Business Insider's 2024 list of the most innovative CMOs.

IVI Institute Reveals Groundbreaking New Data on the Aspirations, Challenges, and Choices Shaping the Path to Parenthood in the United Kingdom, Sweden, and France

New IVI Institute Fertility Barometer reveals that while the desire for parenthood remains strong, many factors contribute to women having fewer children than they want, later than they want – and increasing trusted care for women experiencing infertility could help close the gap

LONDON, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- IVI Institute, the global leader in reproductive medicine, today released new data from the IVI Institute Fertility Barometer, a new study of 24,000+ individuals across nine countries providing a global view of fertility aspirations, experiences, and barriers. The findings from the U.K., Sweden, and France offer a closer look at how women view motherhood, fertility, and family building, pointing to a complex fertility landscape with a growing need for trusted information, expert care, and greater confidence throughout the journey to parenthood.

According to the Fertility Barometer, for women in the U.K., Sweden, and France, the desire to become a mother remains strong – 81-84% are already mothers or want children, and 68-70% say becoming a mother is a priority for them – but the path to parenthood is increasingly being delayed. Many are starting their families later than they hoped and having fewer children than they intended. Among women surveyed with a target age, 31-41% had their first child later than desired, and mothers reported having 2-2.1 children on average, compared with the 2.8-2.9 they say they want.

"The Fertility Barometer shines a light on something that can be difficult to quantify, the emotional and practical burden women can carry when navigating fertility," said Dan Annetts, CEO of Northern Europe. "For many women, fertility is no longer simply a question of whether they want to have children. It can involve uncertainty, difficult decisions about timing, concerns about their future options and, for some, the experience of infertility itself. Understanding that broader experience is essential to providing care that supports patients not only clinically, but with greater clarity and confidence."

The release of this new data comes as IVI, formerly known as IVI RMA Global, is bringing together its expertise, leading fertility clinics, and cutting edge research under one unified vision and new name: IVI Institute. In this next chapter, IVI clinics will operate as IVI Fertility, Livio, and Create Fertility as members of IVI Institute, connecting patients to a global network of reproductive medicine expertise, innovation, and research.

What Women in the UK, Sweden, and France Say About Fertility and Motherhood

The IVI Institute Fertility Barometer reveals a clear gap between the families women want and the families they ultimately have – one shaped less by changing aspirations than by the circumstances and barriers that delay their path to parenthood:

- The desire to become a mother remains strong. Across the U.K., Sweden, and France, 81-84% are already mothers or want children, and 68-70% say becoming a mother is of medium-high or high importance to them.

- Despite this strong aspiration, women reported that they are starting families later than they hoped. In the U.K., Sweden, and France, for those who reported a target age for starting a family, 31-41% had their first child later than desired, and mothers surveyed reported having 2-2.1 children on average, compared with the 2.8-2.9 they intend to have. This clear gap between the families women want and the families they ultimately have is shaped less by changing aspirations than by the circumstances and barriers that delay their path to parenthood. Most commonly, women cite finding the right partner (U.K.: 42%, Sweden: 44%, France: 41%) and confidence in the decision (U.K.: 35%, Sweden: 38%, France: 43%) as being the most commonly cited factors that made it the right time to start a family.

- Infertility touches the lives of nearly one in five women. Approximately 5.2 million across the U.K., Sweden, and France have experienced infertility at some point in their lives, and over 1 million women are experiencing it today. Among women who have experienced infertility, many rate its negative impact at 7 out of 10 or higher – ranging from 59% in Sweden, to 68% in the U.K., to a high of 79% in France.

- Only 17-21% of women in the U.K, Sweden, and France who have experienced infertility report undergoing IVF. Most cite factors like a lack of confidence in success and emotional stress as substantial reasons deterring them from taking the next step, alongside financial concerns – meaning navigating fertility treatment is as much about trust and information as it is about cost.

Collectively, the Barometer findings point to a fertility landscape in which women are balancing aspirations for family with uncertainty about their fertility, changing circumstances, and an evolving understanding of what reproductive medicine can offer. For healthcare providers, that makes access to clear information and trusted clinical expertise increasingly important.

One Global Network, Connected by a Shared Vision

Fertility care today is more advanced than ever, but patients are also navigating more information, more choices, and often more uncertainty. IVI Institute is designed to bring greater confidence to that increasingly complex journey by connecting world-class physicians, embryologists, scientists, laboratories, data, and research in more than 200 clinics across 15 countries.

For patients in Northern Europe, IVI Fertility, Livio, and Create Fertility, as part of IVI Institute, offer a connection to more than 30 years of scientific leadership, clinical expertise, and reproductive medicine innovation—combining the strength of a global network with care grounded in the needs of women and families in Northern Europe.

"The Fertility Barometer's findings confirm what we're seeing across our global network: women are increasingly aware of reproductive medicine's potential, and they're making family-planning decisions based on that knowledge," said Javier Sánchez-Prieto, IVI Institute Global CEO. "Our unified structure aims to address emerging demand through expanded access and coordination of personalized care. We will continue setting the global standard in reproductive medicine through clinical excellence, data-driven advancements and decades of experience."

"IVI Institute is not a departure from who we have been—it is an evolution of the strength we have built over more than 30 years," said Antonio Pellicer, Executive Chairman. "We are bringing together the very best of our expertise so that innovation can move faster, knowledge can travel further, and patients can benefit from greater consistency, precision, and support."

About the IVI Institute Fertility Barometer

Fertility is an urgent social and public health issue, yet it is still discussed with little evidence on what people themselves think, want, and fear. The IVI Institute Fertility Barometer was created to close that gap. IVI Institute surveyed a representative sample of 24,074 women aged 19 to 49 in nine countries: Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, UAE, the U.K., and the U.S., from May 16 to July 3, 2026. The survey was administered online using Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing (CAWI). Results were weighted by region, age, and education level, except in the UAE, where weights were applied by emirate and age. The margin of error is ±0.63 percentage points at a 95% confidence level (p=q=50%), with larger margins among subgroups. IVI Institute and GfK, a NielsenIQ company, partnered on this research to understand how women think about fertility, parenthood, and family formation, and the barriers that shape reproductive decisions today. The research was conducted in collaboration with the member brands of IVI Institute: IVI Fertility, Everleap Fertility, ART Fertility, Genera, Create Fertility, LIVIO, and TRIO.

IVI Institute Launches Global Fertility Barometer, Revealing the Aspirations, Challenges, and Choices Shaping Parenthood

New groundbreaking data from nine countries reveals that while the desire for parenthood remains strong, many factors contribute to women having fewer children than they want, later than they want – and increasing care for women experiencing infertility could help close the gap

Press Kit

MADRID, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- IVI Institute, formerly IVI RMA Global — the global leader in fertility care — today announced the outcomes of the IVI Institute Fertility Barometer, a new study of 24,000+ individuals across nine countries providing a global view of fertility aspirations, experiences, and barriers. The inaugural Barometer, which was conducted by GfK, a NielsenIQ company, reveals a measurable gap between the families women want and the families they ultimately have, highlighting the complex forces shaping fertility today and the growing need for trusted information, expert care, and greater confidence throughout the journey to parenthood.

The findings challenge the idea that declining fertility rates are simply a matter of people choosing not to have children. Approximately 82% of women globally are already mothers or want children, with 73% of women saying motherhood is an important life goal. Yet for millions, the path to parenthood is being shaped by delays, infertility, a lack of trusted information, and limited access to care.

"Few decisions in life are more personal—or require more trust—than the journey to building a family," said Javier Sánchez-Prieto, IVI Institute Global CEO. "The Fertility Barometer gives us a clearer understanding of what people around the world want, what they are experiencing and what is standing in their way when it comes to fertility and building their families. They are looking for confidence—confidence in science, confidence in their care team, and confidence that they are receiving the very best care possible. That is what IVI Institute is built to deliver: scientific rigor, clinical excellence, and personalized care for all patients."

The Fertility Barometer is a new product of IVI Institute, created to provide an ongoing, evidence-based view of how people around the world experience fertility.

With members and expertise spanning over 200 clinics in 15 countries, IVI Institute is uniquely positioned to understand fertility across different cultures, health systems, demographics, and patient experiences.

Highlights from the survey include:

- The desire to become a mother remains strong – on average, 82% are already mothers or want children, and 73% say becoming a mother is a priority for them.

- Despite this strong aspiration, the path to parenthood is increasingly being delayed. Many women are starting their families later than they hoped – and having fewer children than they intended. Among women who reported a target age for starting a family, 36% had their first child later than desired, and end up having close to one fewer child than they intended. This clear gap between the families women want and the families they ultimately have is shaped less by changing aspirations than by the circumstances and barriers that delay their path to parenthood. Most commonly, women cite finding the right partner and personal maturity as the factors that made it the right time to start a family.

- Infertility touches the lives of nearly one in five women around the world. Approximately 19% have experienced infertility at some point in their lives, and 5% are experiencing it today. That adds up to 25.2 million women across the nine countries surveyed who have experienced infertility at some point – and a full 6.8 million who are going through it right now. Infertility challenges carry a heavy emotional toll: Two-thirds of women – 66% – who have experienced infertility rate its negative impact on their lives at 7 out of 10 or higher.

- 76% of women who have experienced infertility in the past consulted a doctor about it – yet only 18% of them underwent IVF: 95% cite factors like a lack of confidence in success and emotional stress as substantial reasons deterring them from taking the next step, alongside financial concerns – meaning navigating fertility treatment is as much about trust and information as it is about cost.

Together, these findings reveal that the global fertility challenge is not simply about whether people want to become parents. The desire to have a family remains strong, but the path to parenthood is increasingly influenced by timing, fertility, affordability, and the availability of trusted information and support. To learn more about the IVI Institute Fertility Barometer's findings, visit fertilitybarometer.iviinstitute.com.

One global network, connected by a shared vision

Reproductive medicine today is more advanced than ever, but patients are also navigating more information, more choices, and often more uncertainty. IVI Institute is designed to bring greater confidence to that increasingly complex journey by connecting world-class physicians, embryologists, scientists, laboratories, data, and research.

"IVI Institute is not a departure from who we have been—it is an evolution of the strength we have built for almost 40 years," said Antonio Pellicer, Executive Chairman. "By uniting our legacy brands, we are bringing together the very best of our expertise so that innovation can move faster, knowledge can travel further, and patients can benefit from greater consistency, precision, and support."

A new era of fertility care in the United States and around the world

In the United States, leading clinic brands will unite under one name: Everleap Fertility. The new identity brings together trusted local care with the global expertise and resources of IVI Institute, creating a more connected experience for patients and referring physicians. As part of IVI Institute, Everleap Fertility will give patients and care teams greater access to leading research, advanced technology, shared clinical expertise, and a global network, all while maintaining the personalized care and clinical excellence they trust. Everleap Fertility has 65+ clinics in 19 states, making reproductive medicine more accessible to women across the U.S.

According to the Fertility Barometer, trends in the U.S. largely mirror the global findings.

"This research gives us a clearer picture of what women in the United States think about fertility, parenthood, and the barriers and uncertainty they face on the path to parenthood," said Lynn Mason, CEO of Everleap Fertility. "Too many women are wanting to build a family but lacking the information, guidance, or support they need to understand their own fertility and family building options. These findings reinforce our commitment at Everleap Fertility to bring fertility care to people earlier, provide greater clarity on paths to family building, advocate for access to care, and make each patient's journey more personalized and understandable."

In Italy, Spain, Portugal, Latin America, and the UK, IVI Fertility will continue to serve patients through the clinics they know and trust as a member of the IVI Institute network. Everleap Fertility in the U.S., Genera in Italy, and ART Fertility in the UAE will also operate as members of IVI Institute, and TRIO in Canada, Create Fertility in the UK, and LIVIO in the Nordics will continue to operate under their current brand names.

IVI Institute will also encompass the IVI Institute Foundation, IVI Institute Research Alliance, and IVI Institute Education. The new brand will extend the organization's commitment to scientific research, education and training, and social responsibility by building on its 700+ active research projects, $12M+ investment in scientific advancement, and 1,814 healthcare professionals trained in 2025.

American Battery Solutions Unveils Aventor, a Rugged, BABA-Compliant High-Voltage Battery Platform
Image File
Original HTML

Designed, engineered and assembled in the U.S.A. with domestically sourced cells, Aventor is built to support BABA-compliant OEM programs. The advanced 800-volt architecture delivers class-leading 300 Wh/L volumetric and up to 200 Wh/kg gravimetric energy density, 113 kWh of energy and 358 kW of peak discharge power.

"Aventor represents years of work across ABS and an exciting step forward in what we can offer our heavy-duty OEM customers," said Subhash Dhar, founder and CEO of ABS. "We set out to develop a battery platform that leads on energy density without any compromises in the safety, durability or performance these applications demand. The result is a highly capable platform that gives customers more energy, more uptime, more value and an excellent foundation from which they can scale electrification across their portfolios."

A scalable common architecture supports two purpose-built form factors, helping OEMs integrate the platform across vehicle layouts and duty cycles:

- The Chassis-Integrated Pack, the standard offering, is optimized for packaging efficiency and energy density. It can be installed between the frame rails, where many commercial vehicles already have protected availablespace, as well as in other constrained horizontal locations such as roof-mounted installations.

- The Hyper-Rugged Cube Pack offers an even more rugged enclosure and load-path strategy for use in harsher mechanical environments that see the highest levels of vibration, shock, and utilization. This configuration is designed for multiple installation orientations and mounting faces.

"Safety, reliability and intelligence are central to the design," said Jeffrey Donaldson, SVP engineering for ABS. The wire-free battery management system (BMS) reduces system complexity and improves reliability. Ultra-high-precision voltage and temperature measurement at every series element, together with a microprocessor and onboard data storage at every cell group, provide granular monitoring and diagnostics. The system includes cybersecurity protections, over-the-air update capabilities, active isolation monitoring, vent-gas detection and anti-propagation technologies.

Aventor is also designed to align with the functional-safety, regulatory and certification requirements important to commercial and industrial OEMs, including ASIL-C requirements under ISO 26262, FMVSS 305a, UL 2580 and ECE R100, among others. With ABS taking care of these requirements at the battery-platform level, the company is helping OEMs simplify integration, validation and compliance as they bring electrified products to market.

"For high-utilization applications where charging time directly affects productivity, the platform supports fast charging from 10% to 80% in 42 minutes or less," said Donaldson. It is built and validated for up to 10 years of heavy-duty design life with the vibration, shock and environmental exposure common across commercial and industrial equipment. The standard enclosure is dust-tight and certified to both IP67 for immersion and IP69K for high-pressure washdown.

Aventor is being developed using ABS' IATF 16949-certified quality management system and highest-quality battery engineering, validation and manufacturing processes. Together with U.S.-based engineering, cell sourcing and pack assembly, the platform gives OEMs a domestic battery option designed to meet their needs and the highest standards.

Customer samples are planned for 2027, with start of production planned for Q1 2028. Initial production capacity will be 6,000 battery packs annually, representing approximately 0.7 GWh.

Attendees at The Battery Show North America can visit American Battery Solutions at booth #5400 to learn more about Aventor and meet with the ABS team.

KuCoin Nigeria Receives Conditional Approval-in-Principle for Admission into SEC Nigeria's Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Programme

OYO STATE, Nigeria, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- KuCoin Nigeria Limited has received conditional Approval-in-Principle (AIP) from the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria (SEC Nigeria), for admission into its Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Programme (ARIP). The development marks another important milestone in KuCoin's global regulatory journey and further reflects the company's long-term commitment to strengthening its global compliance framework and building trusted digital asset infrastructure.

As part of the AIP review process, KuCoin Nigeria demonstrated elements of its proposed platform and operating model to SEC Nigeria. The demonstration covered proposed products and services for Nigeria, customer onboarding procedures, fiat on- and off-ramp arrangements, technology infrastructure, and governance and risk management structures. The conditional Approval-in-Principle is not a final registration, licence, endorsement or recommendation by SEC Nigeria and does not authorise KuCoin Nigeria to commence operations, onboard clients or offer services to the Nigerian public. However, this preparatory work reflects KuCoin's focus on incorporating local accountability, user protection and risk management into its proposed operations.

Nigeria has a vibrant digital economy and a rapidly developing digital asset ecosystem, making it one of the world's key markets for digital asset adoption and innovation. KuCoin believes that building a healthy and sustainable digital asset market requires constructive engagement between industry participants and regulators, together with continued improvements in governance, transparency, market integrity and user protection.

KuCoin's regulatory engagement in Nigeria forms part of its broader approach to meeting local requirements across key markets. In Europe, KuCoin EU has received authorisation under MiCAR, enabling it to provide regulated crypto-asset services across the European Union. In Australia, KuCoin operates through Axis One Markets Pty Ltd, which is registered with AUSTRAC as a digital currency exchange provider. Each authorisation or registration applies solely to the relevant entity and activities within the applicable jurisdiction. None of these authorisations or registrations authorises KuCoin Nigeria to operate or provide services in Nigeria. KuCoin is committed to respecting local regulatory frameworks in each market, aligning its operations with applicable requirements and obtaining the relevant authorisations or registrations in each jurisdiction.

BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin, said: "Receiving conditional Approval-in-Principle from SEC Nigeria marks another important milestone in KuCoin's global compliance journey. As digital assets become an increasingly important part of the global financial system, trust must be built through continuously strengthening governance, maintaining high compliance standards and enhancing user protection. We value the opportunity to engage constructively with SEC Nigeria through ARIP and to continue building in line with Nigeria's evolving regulatory framework. Our focus remains on strong governance, high compliance standards and meaningful user protection as we support the responsible and sustainable development of the digital asset ecosystem."

For KuCoin, compliance is not only about meeting regulatory requirements; it is also about building long-term trust. Looking ahead, KuCoin will continue advancing responsible innovation, strengthening its global governance, operational resilience and user protection capabilities, and working with regulators, partners and industry participants to support the development of a more mature, transparent and trusted digital asset market.

The products, digital assets and services offered by KuCoin globally are not offered through KuCoin Nigeria and will not be available in Nigeria unless separately reviewed and, where required, cleared in writing by SEC Nigeria.

Disclosure

The conditional Approval-in-Principle granted to KuCoin Nigeria Limited relates solely to its conditional admission into SEC Nigeria's ARIP and forms part of an ongoing regulatory review. It is not a final registration, licence, endorsement, recommendation or authorisation to commence operations and should not be interpreted as SEC Nigeria's endorsement, recognition, recommendation or approval of any of KuCoin's products or services.

Until all applicable pre-commencement conditions have been satisfied and any further written clearance required by SEC Nigeria has been obtained, KuCoin Nigeria will not commence operations, onboard clients, list digital assets, enable trading or peer-to-peer services, process fiat on- or off-ramp transactions, hold client assets or launch public-facing services in Nigeria. Proposed products, digital assets, trading pairs, custody and wallet structures, fiat gateway arrangements, order-book-sharing arrangements and related public communications remain subject to further review and written no-objection by SEC Nigeria.

KuCoin Nigeria Limited's participation in ARIP, and any activities undertaken under the programme, remain within the scope specified by SEC Nigeria and subject to its conditions and ongoing compliance with applicable regulatory, operational and supervisory obligations. Any proposed product, service, digital asset or operational arrangement in Nigeria remains subject to applicable Nigerian regulatory requirements and, where required, further SEC Nigeria review and written no-objection. Admission into ARIP does not assure or predetermine the grant of formal registration.

Finance Is Scaling AI Faster Than It Can Trust the Results, New OneStream Index Finds
Image File
Original HTML

Global study of 1,300 CFOs finds 74% of Finance leaders are already using AI to reduce manual work, but only 40% have fully transparent financial data and just 14% are achieving enterprise value.

BIRMINGHAM, Mich., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- OneStream, the AI operating system for modern Finance that unifies core financial and operational processes, embedding the governance, context, and control required to make AI work, today released its inaugural Forward Finance Index, a report that benchmarks leading CFOs against the Forward Finance Blueprint, a new AI operating model designed to help Finance steer the business forward. The Index found a significant gap between the pace of AI adoption in Finance and enterprise return: while nearly three-quarters (74%) of Finance teams now use AI to reduce manual work, only 14% say their investments have achieved genuine "enterprise value and decision impact" – held back by critical lags in data foundations, workforce skills, and operating capabilities.

"The potential for AI in Finance has never been greater, but adoption alone doesn't create enterprise value," said Robert Kugel, Executive Director, Business Research at ISG Research. "Most organizations are scaling AI faster than the data foundation it relies on – and in Finance, that foundation is everything. As AI takes on more consequential work, every decision has to be transparent, explainable, and traceable. The next enterprise AI advantage won't come from simply having a smarter model. It will come from building an environment where you can safely give AI more authority."

The Index findings, drawn from 1,300 CFOs across the U.S., U.K., and France, benchmark AI readiness and maturity against five critical areas identified by CFOs and Finance experts from leading global organizations: AI strategy, data, workforce, operations, and IT collaboration.

The research reveals that only 6% of Finance organizations are leading across all five areas. More than half (52%) rank as "Followers," held back by fundamental gaps: data they can't fully trust, AI that hasn't delivered measurable ROI, limited visibility into operational decisions, disconnected IT roadmaps, and a workforce not yet equipped for AI. Four in ten Finance executives say data quality issues regularly block or delay their AI projects, underscoring how much the data foundation shapes what AI can deliver.

Finance's biggest gaps in scaling AI sit between ambition and execution

Across data, AI strategy, operations, IT partnership, and workforce, the research identifies critical gaps between strategic intent and day-to-day execution:

- Data confidence without clarity. 71% of executives are confident in their team's ability to provide trusted data and insight for decision-making, while just 40% classify their financial reporting data as fully transparent, meaning it can be clearly traced, explained, and validated.

- AI adoption without measurable impact. Nearly three-quarters (74%) say AI is already reducing manual intervention in close, reporting, and reconciliation cycles – but just 14% say AI has reached "enterprise value and decision impact."

- Enterprise influence without operational visibility. 73% of Finance teams proactively approach business units to suggest efficiencies – yet only 17% rate their early-warning and risk-identification capabilities as "leading."

- IT partnership without integration. 71% believe Finance and IT are strategic partners rather than separate entities – but only 15% have a fully integrated joint roadmap with shared KPIs and accountability.

- AI ambition without workforce readiness. Only 15% of organizations have a fully embedded AI skills program – even as two-thirds (66%) believe that failing to prepare their workforce will make their organization irrelevant within five years.

These barriers are costing Finance billions

OneStream's research also found that Finance-led insight now drives decisions worth an average of about $1.6 billion for organizations each year, while Finance-led early-warning signals helped organizations prevent an average of more than $10 million in potential operational and financial losses. As decision velocity becomes a defining competitive advantage, the gap between Finance's ambition and its readiness carries a rising cost.

"Every Finance team wants to move faster with AI, but AI depends on the very data foundations most organizations haven't built," said Tom Shea, Founder and CEO at OneStream. "Deploying AI on top of data you can't fully trace, explain, or trust compounds enterprise risk as systems act more autonomously. A trusted, unified data environment is what turns AI from a promising pilot into insights leaders can act on with confidence. Closing that foundational gap is what separates the leaders from the pack."

A path forward

Forward Finance Leaders treat AI as an operating model shift rather than a set of pilots, grounded in trusted data and an AI-ready workforce. Across the Index, they consistently outperform Followers on the capabilities that turn AI into enterprise value:

- Data Transparency: 86% of Leaders maintain an end-to-end view of data lineage across financial and operational systems, establishing the trusted foundation autonomous AI requires.

- Measurable ROI: Leaders are significantly more successful at translating AI adoption into daily operational value. Nearly seven in ten (68%) report tangible gains in operational performance insight (compared to 39% of Followers), and 66% report AI-driven improvements in data quality (vs. 46%).

- Decision Governance: 82% of Leaders actively track whether operational decisions deliver expected outcomes, compared to 66% of Followers.

- IT Alignment: Leaders are far more likely to harmonize operational data (88% vs. 68%) and market data (88% vs. 62%) with IT.

- Workforce Readiness: Leaders redesign Finance roles around human judgment and insight rather than manual production, prioritizing workforce readiness for an AI-augmented operating model.

UpCodes' AI Reviews 1,300+ Plan Sets, Identifying More Than 180,000 Potential Issues
Image File
Original HTML

Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, BDG Architects and Hereford Dooley Architects are among the companies newly adopting AI-native Plan Review, which has surfaced more than $1 million in average construction-phase exposure per project.

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- AI has moved beyond helping professionals create work. Increasingly, it is being used to review complex projects, helping teams catch issues earlier, improve accuracy, and streamline traditionally time-intensive workflows across industries.

In architecture, engineering, and construction, the goal is to move from design to build smoothly. Construction documents and plan sets sit at the center of that process, carrying critical information across disciplines, teams, and stages of a project. But analyzing them requires more than reading text. It requires understanding geometry, dimensions, annotations, and spatial relationships together, something AI has historically struggled to do reliably.

Advances in multimodal AI are changing that. UpCodes' Plan Review combines state of- the-art AI models with its building code and construction content libraries to interpret both the visual and technical information within drawings. This allows AI to identify potential issues earlier in the design process, before they become more costly problems during review or construction.

Today, UpCodes announced that since launching in June, its AI Plan Review technology has reviewed more than 1,300 construction plan sets, identified more than 180,000 potential issues, and surfaced more than $1 million in estimated potential construction error costs on average per project*.

"The first chapter of AI at work was about helping people create faster. The next is about helping professionals review complex work that previously required multiple steps and intensive human review and shortening compliance workflows," said Scott Reynolds, CEO and co-founder of UpCodes. "Construction drawings contain thousands of interconnected decisions. AI gives teams another set of eyes to surface potential issues earlier, when they're easier and less expensive to address."

What the First 1,300 Plan Sets Have Told Us

The first 1,300+ plan set reviews offer an early look at the scale and types of potential issues that can exist within construction drawing sets.

Across the plan sets reviewed, UpCodes Plan Review* has found:

- Plans reviewed spanned 73 jurisdictions and 14 code editions, from single-family homes to commercial and medical facilities.

- Plans averaged 21 critical issues each, with missing exit signage the single most common critical finding.

- Roughly one in ten critical issues were cross-discipline coordination conflicts, the kind of clashes between architectural, structural, and MEP drawings that typically surface late and drive costly rework.

- Nearly half (46%) of all critical issues involved life-safety systems: means of egress, fire protection, and fire-resistance-rated construction.

These results reinforce that timing matters in construction. The earlier an issue is caught, the easier and less expensive it is to fix. A means of egress issue identified on a drawing may require a simple design change. The same issue discovered during construction could mean relocating a door, changing a corridor, or reworking already-built conditions, adding cost and delays.

UpCodes is already seeing this shift play out through its QA/QC platform and the first firms adopting AI review into their workflows. As AI-assisted review becomes a larger part of the AEC industry, the cost of maintaining traditional workflows may extend beyond time. Missed opportunities to catch issues early can translate into expensive rework, change orders, and delays, putting project budgets and firm profitability at risk.

About UpCodes

UpCodes is transforming how building professionals engage with code, creating a faster, smarter path from regulation to build. The AI-native platform connects the dots across the design and construction lifecycle, enabling confident, well-informed decisions at every step.

Grounded in trust, built for clarity, and driven by innovation, UpCodes reshapes how architects, engineers, and builders navigate complex requirements. By bringing fragmented regulations, collaboration tools, and automated code compliance checks into one intelligent system, UpCodes turns building codes from a barrier into a catalyst for better, more code-aligned projects. With a mission to bring clarity and intelligence to the built environment, UpCodes is redefining the future of design and construction.
