What happened?

On July 29, 2026, the Federal Trade Commission, joined by the State of Utah and Los Angeles County (representing California), filed a federal complaint against Hims & Hers Health in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, alleging deceptive and unlawful privacy practices — including sharing sensitive user health data with third-party advertisers Meta Platforms (Facebook) and Snap via embedded tracking pixels and customer list matching despite marketing emphasizing strict privacy — as well as deceptive billing and subscription-cancellation practices.

"The complaint filed against Hims & Hers Health, Inc. alleges that, among other things, the Company failed to disclose that the Company shared consumers' health information with third-party advertising platforms. CrowdStrike Achieves NCSC CIR Enhanced Level Assurance
Image File
Original HTML

Some cyber incidents leave no margin for error, whether that's an attack that interrupts energy, water, or financial services, or a breach that triggers reporting obligations in several jurisdictions within hours.

The UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) created the Enhanced Level of its Cyber Incident Response (CIR) scheme for incidents like these. It recognizes providers that meet rigorous standards for high-quality incident response, at the highest level of risk.

Today, CrowdStrike has been assured at the Enhanced Level of the NCSC CIR scheme, the highest level of incident response assurance the UK government offers.

This builds on the CIR Standard Level assurance we announced earlier this year and gives UK organizations independent, government-backed proof that CrowdStrike can respond when the stakes are highest.

As Adversaries Accelerate with AI, Defenders Must Keep Up

Europe remains a prime target. According to the CrowdStrike 2025 European Threat Landscape Report, 22% of all victims named on dedicated leak sites are based in Europe, making it the second most targeted region after North America.

AI is making the adversaries behind those attacks faster and more capable. Attacks by AI-enabled adversaries rose 89% year-over-year, and the fastest breakout time fell to just 27 seconds, according to the CrowdStrike 2026 Global Threat Report. The time to patch is also shrinking: In the first half of 2026, 88% of observed exploitation of vulnerabilities with a public proof of concept happened within 48 hours of its release, the CrowdStrike 2026 Threat Hunting Report found.

As the window to defend narrows, organizations need a response partner that has already proven it can operate at the highest level.

The Highest Bar, Independently Proven

Every NCSC-assured provider must meet rigorous standards for incident response quality, including core skills in digital forensics, network traffic inspection, and malware analysis. The Enhanced Level goes much further. Providers must demonstrate expertise against the most capable adversaries, across the largest and most complex environments, delivered to the highest standard of quality.

These capabilities are also why both Forrester and IDC have named CrowdStrike a Leader in incident response services.

Supporting the UK's Critical National Infrastructure

When an incident hits Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), the impact can quickly expand across the energy, water, transport, health, and financial services systems that millions of people depend on.

These are the environments where nation-state adversaries are most persistent and where response has to be fast, precise, and coordinated with regulators and government stakeholders. Enhanced Level assurance gives CNI operators independent confirmation that CrowdStrike has the expertise and quality to respond when it matters most.

"When the worst happens, organizations facing the most serious threats don't have time to wonder whether their response partner is up to the task. CIR Enhanced Level assurance answers that question before the first call is made. It independently validates what our team does every day: taking on sophisticated, increasingly AI-enabled adversaries, at scale, in environments where the stakes couldn't be higher. For our customers in the UK, it means they have a partner assured at the highest level the NCSC offers."

— Tom Etheridge, Chief Global Services Officer, CrowdStrike

Does Your Organization Need an Enhanced Provider?

The NCSC recommends that all UK organizations, from small businesses to central government, use an NCSC-assured provider when dealing with a cyber incident. For organizations where an incident could have the most serious consequences, it recommends the Enhanced Level. These include, but aren't limited to, organizations that are:

- Part of CNI: Disruption can spread to the public and the essential services people rely on.

- Part of UK central government: Incidents can carry national security implications.

- A likely nation-state target: Nation-state adversaries are patient, well-resourced, and built to evade detection.

- In a regulated sector: Breaches bring reporting obligations and regulatory scrutiny, so findings must hold up.

- Operating in more than one country: Incidents cross borders, legal jurisdictions, and time zones, and response must do the same.

If any of these describe your organization, choose a response partner whose capability has been independently proven.

Don't Wait for a Breach to Choose a Responder

With a CrowdStrike Services Retainer, each organization gets guaranteed access to the CrowdStrike incident response team, assured at the NCSC's Enhanced Level, and a partner who already knows your environment before an adversary gets in.

Before an incident strikes, we help you:

- Know where you're exposed: Gain visibility into exposures across endpoint, identity, cloud, SaaS, and AI systems, and prioritize what to fix first.

- Strengthen detection and response: Improve how quickly your team detects and contains threats, whether you build that capability in-house or partner with CrowdStrike to deliver it.

- Get ahead of the next attack: Test your defenses and response plans against real-world adversary techniques through tabletop exercises, compromise assessments, and red teaming.

Be ready before, during, and after a breach, with a partner assured at the NCSC's highest level. Talk to a CrowdStrike expert.

Experienced a breach? Get immediate help from our incident response team.

The Explorers Club x Society Awards Fine Arts Field Grant pairs artists with recipients of the TEC Impact Grant for extraordinary collaboration.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Society Awards and The Explorers Club are proud to announce the inaugural Fine Arts Field Grant.

For most of history, exploration and art traveled together. Before photography, artists accompanied expeditions because they were essential to documenting discovery and translating distant places into something the public could experience. Even after photography arrived, painters, sculptors, and other fine artists interpreted the emotional and human side of exploration in ways a camera alone cannot. The Explorers Club is filled with paintings and sculptures from historic expeditions that continue to inspire visitors for generations later.

The grant's mission aligns naturally with Society Awards' philosophy of supporting artists whose work will emerge from extraordinary access to places, people, and discoveries that few will ever experience firsthand.

The collaboration believes exploration expands human knowledge, and art gives exploration a lasting human legacy.

"As an Associate Member of The Explorers Club, I've spent time surrounded by the paintings and sculptures created from historic expeditions. Those works still capture the imagination decades and even centuries later. We wanted to help bring that tradition into the future by giving today's artists the opportunity to experience exploration firsthand and create the works that will inspire future generations." - David Moritz, Society Awards Founder and CEO

Industrial Defender Unifies Endpoint Intelligence and Network Monitoring for CIP-015, Adds Risk Signal™ to Turn Findings into Prioritized Patch Plans

New internal network security monitoring correlates every anomaly with deep asset intelligence; Risk Signal™ converts findings into verified remediation

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Industrial Defender, an OT cybersecurity leader serving the global critical infrastructure industry, today released its latest version, adding internal network security monitoring (INSM) and Risk Signal™.

The release builds on Industrial Defender's decades of leadership serving NERC-CIP regulated utilities, pairing its deep endpoint visibility with network traffic monitoring, providing OT/ICS operators a single path from detection to prioritized remediation.

"Network monitoring tells you something changed. Our customers need to know what that change means and what to do next," said George Kalavantis, Chief Executive Officer, Industrial Defender.

The FERC-approved NERC CIP-015-1 standard requires entities with high and medium impact BES Cyber Systems to monitor internal network traffic, detect and evaluate anomalies, and retain and protect the resulting data.

Built into the existing platform, the INSM solution learns each device's baseline communications and flags deviations such as new connections, unexpected protocols, anomalous traffic volume and unknown devices communicating.

"Our platform now associates network traffic with deep endpoint intelligence to provide a more comprehensive cybersecurity," Kalavantis said.

Each anomaly is correlated with the asset data Industrial Defender maintains, including configuration changes, vulnerabilities and risk score, so operators understand immediately what a network change means to operations.

Every review decision is captured with reviewer, timestamp and rationale, creating audit-ready evidence mapped to CIP-015 requirements.

Beyond CIP-015, INSM serves industrial control system environments across sectors like oil & gas, petrochemical processing and manufacturing, connecting rich asset data with network visibility to strengthen cybersecurity posture.

Risk Signal: Patch what matters first

Detection and visibility are only half the job. Risk Signal closes the loop by turning asset, vulnerability and network findings into action.

Building on each customer's existing risk model, it identifies the patches and upgrades that deliver the greatest risk reduction for the least operational effort, then packages them into prioritized playbooks that publish directly into existing work-management systems.

After remediation, Risk Signal verifies each patch was applied and updates the asset's risk score.

"The latest version of our trusted platform connects network activity with the asset intelligence we've engineered for two decades, and Risk Signal turns that insight into a defensible plan. It's the shortest path from visibility to reduced risk for critical infrastructure" Kalavantis said.

Industrial Defender will demonstrate these capabilities at GridSecCon 2026 in Orlando.

About Industrial Defender

Industrial Defender provides OT and ICS cybersecurity and compliance solutions for critical infrastructure operators, including electric utilities, oil & gas, chemical, water, and manufacturing organizations. The platform delivers continuous OT asset visibility, vulnerability management, and audit-ready compliance reporting across frameworks including NERC CIP, NIS2, IEC 62443, and NIST CSF.

BLUETTI Unveils Early Access for Apex 200: Next-Gen Versatile Power Station
Image File
Original HTML

Bringing the versatile DNA of the Apex 300 into a compact 2.56kWh format that scales up to 100kWh.

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to recent severe-weather outages, BLUETTI today opened early access to the Apex 200, a versatile portable power station built for home emergency backup, RV travel, and off-grid living. The new arrival packs BLUETTI's signature modular expandability into a highly portable 2.56kWh format, empowering users to start small and scale as their needs grow.

A More Portable Path into the Apex Family

Building on the legacy of Apex 300, the latest Apex 200 extends the Apex series' modular versatility into a more portable 2.5kWh-class format—allowing users to start small with essential home backup and scale up as their power needs evolve.

It combines 2,560Wh of LFP capacity with a 3.2kW–3.6kW standalone AC output (up to 3.6kW under select conditions); compatible expansion batteries can take a single unit up to 33.28kWh, while three units in parallel can reach up to 6kW and approximately 100kWh of total storage.

Apex 200 packs this combination of capacity, output, and expansion into a sleek 27kg (36.5L) enclosure, with 10 output ports—including four individually controllable smart AC outlets, a dedicated TT-30R RV port, and a 12V/30A Anderson port—for flexible use across home, RV, and off-grid settings.

"The Apex Series is rooted in a simple promise: people don't have to overinvest upfront to secure high-performance energy," said James Ray, Marketing Director at BLUETTI. "Apex 200 is our latest response, bringing the versatility of a full-featured, expandable power system into a more compact, portable format. Users can start small and scale as their needs grow."

From Essential Backup to Whole-Home Resilience

At the essential-backup level, Apex 200's 3.2kW standalone output can support selected 120V loads such as refrigeration, lighting, Wi-Fi, and home connectivity. Adding B300K/B500K series expansion batteries extends runtime for longer outages, while a fully expanded single unit can reach up to 33.28kWh. For larger backup needs, up to three fully expanded Apex 200 systems can be configured in parallel via HUB A1, with up to 6kW of output and approximately 100kWh of total storage.

For extended outages, up to 3,000W of solar input helps replenish the system and extend runtime. Apex 200 also brings a first for BLUETTI with four independently controllable smart AC outlets. In HelloNation, HVAC Experts Rick Liberti and Jon McCartha Outline HVAC Service Visit Expectations
Original HTML

The article explains key steps in routine inspections and why regular maintenance supports system efficiency and reliability.

LEXINGTON, S.C., Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What happens during a routine HVAC service visit, and why does it matter for homeowners? HelloNation has published the piece, which provides the answer.

The HelloNation article examines what homeowners can expect from a typical HVAC service visit and why understanding the process can make maintenance more effective. Featuring insights from HVAC Experts Rick Liberti and Jon McCartha of Mid-State Heating and Air LLC, the article explores how routine maintenance supports system performance in changing seasonal conditions.

The article explains that every HVAC inspection begins with a general system review. Technicians check thermostat settings, listen for unusual sounds, and ask homeowners about any concerns. These initial steps help guide the rest of the HVAC service visit and ensure that specific issues are addressed early. In regions like Lexington, where weather shifts can be demanding, this early assessment plays a key role in system reliability.

Air filter maintenance is highlighted as one of the most important and accessible parts of the process. The article notes that clogged filters can restrict airflow and increase energy use, making systems work harder than necessary. During an HVAC inspection, technicians will clean or replace filters as needed, reinforcing the importance of consistent air filter maintenance for both efficiency and indoor comfort.

The article also describes the importance of evaporator coil cleaning as part of a thorough HVAC service visit. Over time, dirt and debris can build up on coils, reducing their ability to transfer heat. Cleaning these components helps restore proper function and supports better indoor air quality. HVAC Experts emphasize that this step is a core part of maintaining long-term system performance.

Another critical area covered is the electrical connections HVAC systems rely on to operate safely. The article explains that technicians inspect wiring, tighten loose connections, and measure voltage and current during the HVAC inspection. Addressing electrical connections and HVAC issues early helps prevent safety risks and ensures the system runs within proper limits.

Lubrication of moving parts is also included in routine service. The article notes that motors and other components benefit from reduced friction, thereby extending their lifespan. This step, combined with system control checks, ensures that the unit cycles on and off properly and responds accurately to thermostat settings. These measures are part of a broader preventive maintenance HVAC approach that reduces wear and helps avoid unexpected breakdowns.

The HelloNation article further explains that preventive maintenance HVAC services are especially important in climates like Lexington, South Carolina. With hot, humid summers and cooler winter periods, systems must adapt to changing demands. Regular Lexington, SC HVAC service visits help prepare systems for peak seasons, improving reliability when heating or cooling is most needed.

Before completing the HVAC service visit, technicians typically provide a summary of findings and recommendations. The article notes that this final step gives homeowners a clear understanding of their system's condition and helps them plan for future maintenance or repairs. This transparency supports better decision-making and long-term system care.

Overall, the article presents a detailed look at how a structured HVAC inspection and ongoing preventive maintenance practices contribute to efficient operation. By understanding each stage of an HVAC service visit, homeowners can take a more active role in maintaining comfort and system longevity.

What to Expect During an HVAC Service Visit features insights from Rick Liberti and Jon McCartha, HVAC Experts at Mid-State Heating and Air LLC of Lexington, South Carolina, in HelloNation.

PetroCal Associates Facilitates Dual Real Estate and Financing Mandate for Premium Tommy's Express Car Wash Project in Orlando

Opening of the state-of-the-art express carwash is expected this fall

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PetroCal Associates, a premier national commercial real estate brokerage and capital advisory firm specializing in the car wash, gas station, and convenience store industries, in cooperation with ParaSell Inc, has successfully completed a dual advisory mandate to bring a new Tommy's Express Car Wash location to Unicorp National Developments' $1 billion mixed use development, O-Town West. The state-of-the art express carwash will be located at 11215 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32836. PetroCal Associates provided both tenant representation services and arranged construction financing for the project.

The developer's selection of PetroCal Associates for their dual-execution capability highlights a growing market trend among top-tier operators who leverage synchronized real estate and capital solutions to navigate tightening credit markets and secure premier, high-barrier-to-entry regional sites.

"There is a massive competitive advantage in having your real estate broker also act as your capital advisory team," said Bryan Smith, the Tommy's Express Car Wash operator behind the project. "PetroCal Associates has been an essential piece of our growth strategy for nearly a decade. They've arranged financing for three carwash projects of ours including two ground-up development projects. They've also represented us in the successful sale of multiple carwashes we previously operated in this market. Having Reuven Birnkrant and the PetroCal Associates team seamlessly manage the real estate brokerage aspects of the deal and the development financing all under one roof eliminated standard friction points, accelerated our timeline, and ensured we achieved the optimal outcome on this project."

The owner of O-Town West, Unicorp National Developments, shared similar comments. "PetroCal Associates proved once again why they are considered the gold standard in carwash real estate brokerage and advisory services," said Chuck Whittall, CEO of Unicorp National Developments, Inc. "This transaction had a tremendous number of moving parts, and its successful completion is a direct result of the professionalism, deal-structuring capabilities, and deep advisory expertise that the entire PetroCal team brought to the table. Reuven Birnkrant's individual leadership, diligence, and creative problem-solving were absolutely vital in bringing this deal to fruition. We are grateful to Reuven and the PetroCal Associates team for bringing this project to O-Town West."

The car wash will feature the eye-catching Tommy's Express building design and the brand's most advanced proprietary technology including a dual-belt conveyor designed to service vehicles of all kinds. The leadership team at PetroCal Associates shared the operator's excitement about the project given the challenges associated with new unit development for express car wash operators at high profile retail centers like this one.

"We are incredibly proud to have delivered again for Bryan and his team," said Reuven Birnkrant, CEO of PetroCal Associates. "Securing premier, ground-up development opportunities while simultaneously arranging an optimal financing structure positions our client for long-term success. We are grateful to the team at Unicorp National Developments and are excited to bring a first-class carwash to O-Town West, delivering a textbook win-win that benefits all involved."

Minnesota Cremation Services Expands Access to Affordable, Compassionate Cremation Care
Image File
Original HTML

Minnesota's only certified woman-owned and operated cremation provider brings its commitment to affordable services, meaningful choices and compassionate, personalized care to more families across Minnesota.

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Every family deserves to feel confident that their loved one is being cared for with dignity, compassion and respect. For Minnesota Cremation Services, that belief is at the heart of everything the company does, from the first phone call to the moment a loved one is returned to their family.

Now, the locally owned funeral home and crematory is bringing that same commitment to more communities across the state, expanding access to affordable cremation services built around transparency, personal attention and genuine care.

The expansion comes in response to requests from families, hospice organizations and healthcare professionals seeking additional cremation options that combine affordability with a more personal experience.

As Minnesota's only certified woman-owned and operated cremation provider, Minnesota Cremation Services believes families should never have to choose between affordability and exceptional care.

"When we started Minnesota Cremation Services, we wanted families to have an experience that felt different," said Amber Kramer, Founder of Minnesota Cremation Services. "We wanted people to feel comfortable asking questions, understand their options and know that the people caring for their loved one genuinely care. Those things shouldn't be extras. They should be part of the care every family receives."

Bringing Compassionate Cremation Care to More Minnesota Communities

Minnesota Cremation Services has traditionally served families within approximately 50 miles of its Rockford, MN facility, including the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area, Bloomington, Maple Grove, Plymouth, St. Cloud, Buffalo, Hutchinson and surrounding communities.

The expanded service area now reaches up to approximately 115 miles from Rockford, bringing additional communities such as Brainerd, Little Falls, Sauk Centre, Willmar, Mankato, New Ulm and surrounding areas within reach of the company's services.

The decision to expand was influenced by relationships with hospice teams, healthcare professionals and families who had expressed interest in having Minnesota Cremation Services available in their communities.

For the company, the expansion is about giving families greater access to the same level of care, professional guidance and comprehensive cremation services that have become central to its approach.

"We've had conversations with hospice professionals and families who wished we could serve their communities," said Stephanie Schultz, Community Partner & Funeral Director. "Those relationships mean so much to us. Being able to provide another option for families, especially one that prioritizes compassion, affordability and personal attention, is something we're incredibly grateful to be able to do."

Transparency That Helps Families Feel Confident

For families navigating the loss of a loved one, understanding cremation arrangements and pricing should not add unnecessary stress to an already difficult time.

Minnesota Cremation Services believes transparency begins with making information accessible, without requiring families to make a phone call, request a quote or sit through a sales conversation simply to understand their options.

The company publishes its complete General Price List online, allowing families to review available services and pricing at their own pace.

To make the expanded service area easier to navigate, Minnesota Cremation Services has also developed an interactive online map where families can enter their address and receive an estimated cremation price based on their location.

The tool provides greater clarity for families throughout Minnesota, including those in communities farther from the Rockford facility where additional travel affects the cost of services.

"We believe families deserve honest, straightforward information," said Kramer. "They should be able to see what services cost, understand what's included and make decisions without feeling pressured. Our role isn't to sell families things they don't need. It's to listen, provide guidance and help them make choices that feel right for them."

Families can access the interactive map at www.cremationservicesmn.com/service-area-map

A Commitment to Dignity in Every Detail

At Minnesota Cremation Services, compassionate care extends beyond the conversations families have with funeral directors. It also shapes the standards followed behind the scenes.

One of those commitments is ensuring that two trained members of the company's own team are present for every transfer from a family's home.

"When we're invited into someone's home, we understand what an important moment that is," said Elena Wysocki, Managing Funeral Director. "A family is trusting us with someone they love. Having two members of our team present allows us to provide the thoughtful, dignified care that person deserves while also being attentive to the family. It's something we believe strongly in, and it's simply part of how we care for people."

The company also operates its own on-site crematory in Rockford, allowing its team to maintain direct oversight of the cremation process and the care provided to each loved one.

For Minnesota Cremation Services, these practices reflect a belief that dignity is demonstrated through actions, including the details families may never see.

Building Trust Through Openness and Relationships

Minnesota Cremation Services believes families and the professionals who support them deserve confidence in the care being provided.

As part of its commitment to transparency, the company welcomes hospice and healthcare teams for scheduled visits to its Rockford facility and crematory.

These visits provide nurses, social workers, chaplains and other care professionals with an opportunity to meet the people behind the services, learn more about the cremation process and see firsthand the environment where their patients will be cared for.

"When a hospice nurse or social worker recommends our services to a family, we understand the trust they're placing in us," said Schultz. "We want them to know who we are, meet our team and feel confident about the care their patients and families will receive. We believe that kind of openness helps build meaningful relationships and provides peace of mind."

The company's commitment to transparency also extends to answering families' questions about the cremation process and helping them understand how their loved one will be cared for.

Rather than viewing transparency as a single policy, Minnesota Cremation Services considers it an essential part of earning trust and providing compassionate service.

Meaningful Choices Without Unnecessary Pressure

Minnesota Cremation Services believes that honoring a loved one should be personal, and that families should feel free to make choices that reflect the individual being remembered.

That philosophy extends to something as simple as selecting an urn.

Families are welcome to bring their own urns, whether purchased elsewhere, passed down through generations or personally created, without an additional fee for using them.

Recently, a family created a custom motorcycle-themed urn to honor a loved one whose passion for motorcycles was an important part of his life. The personal tribute was especially meaningful to the team at Minnesota Cremation Services.

"We absolutely loved that this family created something so personal," said Wysocki. "It was a beautiful reflection of who their loved one was. Those are the moments that remind us why it's so important to give families the freedom to make arrangements their own. We're here to support them, not tell them what they need to purchase."

The company believes meaningful choices should be guided by the family's wishes, traditions and personal preferences, rather than sales expectations.

Keeping Families at the Heart of Every Decision

As Minnesota Cremation Services extends its reach into additional communities, its focus remains on the values that have shaped the company from the beginning.

From transparent pricing and personal guidance to the standards of care maintained within its crematory, the company hopes to make a difficult experience feel more manageable for the families it serves.

For Kramer, expanding access is an opportunity to bring those values to families who may not have previously considered Minnesota Cremation Services an option.

"At the end of the day, this is about people," said Kramer. "It's about making sure families feel heard, supported and confident in the care their loved one is receiving. We're incredibly thankful for the families and healthcare professionals who have placed their trust in us, and we're excited to bring that same compassion and personal attention to more Minnesota communities."

About Minnesota Cremation Services

Minnesota Cremation Services is Minnesota's only certified woman-owned and operated cremation provider. Founded by a group of experienced funeral directors and care professionals who shared a vision for a more compassionate, transparent and affordable approach to cremation, the company was built around putting families first and making a difficult time a little easier.

As a locally owned funeral home and crematory, Minnesota Cremation Services is committed to providing personal attention, honest guidance and meaningful choices without unnecessary sales pressure. With its own on-site crematory and a dedicated team of funeral professionals, the company believes families deserve to feel informed, supported and confident in the care their loved one receives.

Minnesota Cremation Services believes truly compassionate care shouldn't be limited by a ZIP code.

Award will support completion of IND-enabling development and manufacturing scale-up of RMP-402 under DARPA's RAPIID program

SEATTLE, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- RxMP Therapeutics, Inc. ("RxMP"), a late pre-clinical stage therapeutics company developing novel therapies for the rapid control of hemorrhage and excessive bleeding, today announced that it has been awarded up to $10.7 million from the U.S. Department of War (DoW) through the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Resuscitation and Prevention of Ischemia-Induced Dysfunction (RAPIID) program.

The award will support RxMP through several of the most significant remaining preclinical, manufacturing, and regulatory milestones required to advance RMP-402 toward first-in-human clinical development. The contract will fund completion of RxMP's lead product candidate, RMP-402, including remaining IND-enabling development activities, furthering manufacturing scale-up, and preparation of the Investigational New Drug (IND) application package.

RMP-402 is a first-in-class hemostatic biomimetic composed of manufactured allogeneic red cell membrane particles, analogs of active particles that circulate naturally in human blood. Administered intravenously, RMP-402 is designed to rapidly accelerate hemostasis at sites of active bleeding without increasing the risk of off-target clotting. The product is being developed to treat hemorrhage in dual use settings, both military and civilian, especially where access to conventional blood products may be limited by availability, storage requirements, logistics, or the urgency of treatment.

The award is part of DARPA's RAPIID program, which is focused on advancing shelf-stable blood analog technologies that can be manufactured at scale and rapidly progressed toward regulatory authorization. The program seeks to establish the manufacturing, clinical, commercial, and regulatory pathways necessary to make advanced hemorrhage countermeasures available to warfighters and civilians when traditional blood products are unavailable.

"This award represents a major inflection point for RxMP and for the development of RMP-402," said Dr. Rifat Pamukcu, President and Chief Executive Officer of RxMP Therapeutics. "The support of the Department of War and DARPA allows us to complete critical IND-enabling work while continuing to demonstrate that RMP-402 can be manufactured at the scale required for both military and civilian commercial use." He continued, "This award enhances our momentum toward the goal of entering clinical trials culminating in FDA regulatory review and may provide an opportunity for an Emergency Use Authorization for combat casualty care. We believe RMP-402 has the potential to fundamentally change how excessive bleeding and hemorrhage is managed, particularly in settings where conventional blood products are difficult or impossible to provide. We are proud to be working with DARPA to advance this technology for the benefit of the affected patients and warfighters."
