LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Tiger Commercial & Industrial (C&I) has completed the sale of a portfolio of high-precision fabrication and assembly machinery and equipment (M&E), along with finished products and raw materials, from two U.S. plants.

Conducted on behalf of the secured creditors, the online auction featured M&E from the former Alpharetta, Georgia, and Dallas, Texas, facilities of Auzmet, a national manufacturer of exterior building solutions such as composite metal panels, architectural façades and insulated wall panels.

Tiger marketed a broad mix of equipment from the two facilities, including CNC routers, electro-mechanical plate shears, CNC folding machines, electro-pneumatic saws, and smart routers by brands such as Miller, Lincoln Electric, FomIndustrie, Schechtl and Schlebach.

Bidders in the 415-lot sale vied for plant-support M&E and rolling stock by brands such as Kaesar, Chevy and Mitsubishi, along with raw materials and finished-goods inventory originally valued at more than $1 million.

Tiger's in-house auction and operations team leveraged its proprietary database of repeat buyers in composites manufacturing to drive demand across the offering, managing the entire sale and removal process across both facilities within a tight 30-day deadline set by the landlord.

"Our years of experience with aluminum fabrication equipment—including large-format panel builders from AXYZ Automation Group and units from Schechtl and Durma—gave us the ability to execute and quickly monetize the collateral," said Jonathan Holiday, Senior Director of Tiger Commercial & Industrial. "The end result was a robust recovery for the secured creditors in a fraction of the usual timeframe."

New generation of routers delivers expanded routing, automation, security and synchronization capabilities

PLANO, Texas, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ribbon Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: RBBN), a global leader in real-time communications technology, IP routing, and optical networking solutions, today announced the expansion of its critical infrastructure portfolio. The portfolio is designed to help utilities modernize increasingly complex operational networks while maintaining the reliability, security and deterministic performance required for essential services. Ribbon's experience spans hundreds of thousands of deployed network elements across the world, supporting some of the industry's most complex networks.

Utilities face growing pressure to modernize the grid, integrate distributed energy resources, improve reliability and strengthen cybersecurity. Meeting these requirements demands communications networks that support both legacy operational technologies and next-generation digital applications. Ribbon's market-leading critical infrastructure portfolio enables utilities to evolve confidently and at their own pace while preserving operational continuity and protecting mission-critical services.

"Utilities must modernize their networks, strengthen cyber resilience and support new digital grid initiatives without disrupting core operations," said Sam Bucci, EVP and COO at Ribbon. "Our expanded portfolio enables them to bridge legacy and next-generation requirements on a single, modern platform."

The new NPT 1022M and NPT 2104 build on the proven capabilities of existing platforms including the NPT 1012D and NPT 2714. Combined with Ribbon's IP rNOS routing software, optical networking portfolio and Muse multilayer automation platform (MAP), these technologies further strengthen Ribbon's ability to support the converged IT/OT communications networks that underpin modern utility operations.

Designed to address the demanding requirements of utility network modernization, Ribbon's solutions support teleprotection, SCADA, operational voice, always-on OT operations, deterministic packet transport (MPLS-TP, SR-TE), scalable IP/MPLS networking and class D timing for precise frequency and time synchronization across the grid.

These capabilities enable utilities to introduce advanced monitoring, automation, video, distributed energy resource management and smart grid analytics while modernizing their communications infrastructure without compromising operational continuity.

Ribbon's robust features includes:

Muse, which delivers critical infrastructure-focused automation and AI-enabled capabilities that simplify deployment, operations and management.

Advanced circuit emulation legacy for 64 kbit/s PCM services alongside advanced 100GbE and 400GbE interfaces

Built-in quantum-safe security and MACsec

IEC 61850 compliance and IEEE 1613 class B certification

Fully integrated IPoDWDM

"These innovations provide a strong foundation for utilities transitioning from TDM to IP-MPLS and segment routing architectures while preserving the reliability and performance essential to their operations," Mr. Bucci added. "They enable utilities to support both legacy and modern services on a common architecture while maintaining operational continuity."

How a Small IT Team Solved Juneau's Cruise-Season Dead Zone Without Hiring a Single Person

When 16,000 extra visitors a day overwhelmed cellular networks in Alaska's capital, the city turned to Northriver IT for a fully managed public Wi-Fi network that now offloads over twenty terabytes of traffic and serves 103,000-plus unique users a month

JUNEAU, Alaska, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Every summer, cruise season transforms downtown Juneau: up to sixteen thousand extra visitors a day, all reaching for their phones at once. Point-of-sale systems failed. Parking kiosks stopped working. Basic calls wouldn't connect. The downtown library became an accidental Wi-Fi hub, drawing crowds outside just to get a signal. After carriers offered no fix, the City and Borough of Juneau decided to build its own network and turned to Northriver IT to design, deploy, and manage it.

Working with Cambium Networks' ONE Network platform, Northriver IT stood up a high-density outdoor Wi-Fi 6 network anchored by 60 GHz wireless backhaul, avoiding the fiber trenching Juneau's mountainous, dock-heavy terrain would have required. Core infrastructure was live within roughly forty-five days. The network has since offloaded twenty to thirty-plus terabytes of cellular traffic and supported over 103,000 unique users in a single 30-day peak-season stretch — more than three times Juneau's year-round population with no added headcount or daily attention from the city's own IT staff.

"There was no cell phone signal or really spotty slow cell signal when the ships were in dock during summer tourism season." — Chris Murray, IT Director, City and Borough of Juneau

Seamless Passpoint 2.0 authentication let most visitors connect automatically with no password required; a detail city officials say was central to the network's success.

"We built this the way we build every network: solve the real problem, then get out of the way. Juneau's team shouldn't have to think about this Wi-Fi, and now they don't." — Chaz Hager, Northriver IT

Complaints dropped to zero during peak season. The network now runs on a seasonal schedule, remotely managed by Northriver IT with no daily lift from city staff, and Juneau is already planning coverage into more waterfront zones.

Exclusive relationship pairs Sentric Specialty's coverage for food and beverage companies with NAS's real-world product safety expertise to support clients before and after an event

NOVATO, Calif., Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sentric Specialty today announced an exclusive strategic relationship with Neumann Advisory Services, LLC (NAS), a nationally recognized product safety and risk management advisory firm. Through this relationship, Sentric Specialty's eligible policyholders will receive exclusive access to NAS's specialized expertise in product safety, regulatory compliance, food safety, recall preparedness, crisis management and response, and enterprise risk reduction.

The relationship reflects a shared commitment to helping food and beverage manufacturers proactively identify, assess, and mitigate product-related risks before they become costly incidents, insurance claims, or public safety risks. By combining industry-leading underwriting capabilities with practical operational and regulatory expertise, Sentric Specialty is expanding the value it delivers well beyond traditional insurance coverage.

"Insurance is most valuable when it helps prevent losses, not simply respond to them," said Florian Beerli, CEO of Sentric Specialty. "This exclusive relationship allows us to offer our policyholders access to specialized expertise that helps strengthen risk management programs, improve operational resilience, and reduce both the frequency and severity of product-related events."

"Organizations today face increasingly complex product safety, regulatory, and supply chain risks," said Melanie Neumann, President of NAS. "Together with Sentric Specialty, we are creating a unique offering that gives policyholders access to practical, real-world guidance from experienced industry professionals before, during, and after critical events."

Unlike traditional insurance programs that primarily respond after a loss has occurred, this exclusive relationship integrates proactive risk management with insurance protection. Eligible policyholders gain access to experienced advisors who help identify vulnerabilities, strengthen preventive controls, improve recall readiness, and enhance organizational resilience, helping reduce operational disruptions, protect brand reputation, and lower the overall cost of risk. The result is a more comprehensive approach to product safety risk management that helps organizations prevent incidents whenever possible and respond more effectively when they occur. Brokers with questions can contact Nick Keyser, Global Head of Distribution, at nkeyser@sentricins.com.

Dr. Menzel brings over 30 years of global healthcare executive leadership with broad experience in building successful companies

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Kalohexis, Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company harnessing the melanocortin system to shape the next era of metabolic disease care starting with obesity and cancer cachexia, today announced the appointment of Garry Menzel, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors.

"Garry is a seasoned global healthcare executive with a very strong track record in advising and leading successful life sciences companies," said Russell Potterfield, Chief Executive Officer of Kalohexis. "He has used those skills in many situations that are relevant for Kalohexis and proven himself adept at integrating effectively with different teams to produce lifesaving therapies. I look forward to working with him as we advance our differentiated melanocortin-based approach to restoring metabolic balance."

Dr. Menzel is a senior global healthcare executive and investor with a diverse background in science, strategy, finance and operations. He currently serves as an Operating Partner at Global Healthcare Opportunities (GHO) Capital, Europe's leading healthcare specialist private equity firm. Previously, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of oncology company TCR² Therapeutics, which he led from concept to clinical success while raising more than $500 million before its strategic merger with Adaptimmune in 2023. He also co-founded Black Diamond Therapeutics, a Fierce 15-winning clinical-stage precision oncology company and continues to serve on its Board of Directors where he is Chair of the Audit Committee. Prior executive leadership roles included serving as Chief Financial Officer of Fortune 500 company DaVita HealthCare Partners and as Chief Operating Officer of Regulus Therapeutics, which was sold to Novartis for $1.7 billion. Recently, he served on the Board of genetic disease company Stoke Therapeutics.

Dr. Menzel began his life sciences career in an advisory role, first as a strategy consultant with Bain then as an investment banker with Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse where he led their global biotechnology franchises. During his investment banking tenure, Dr. Menzel worked on more than $100 billion in transactions, including many that were transformative for the industry. These ranged from IPOs to M&A.

"Kalohexis has the opportunity to transform the treatment of obesity with 710GO by enabling healthier, more durable weight loss in general obesity without the limitations seen with incretins, such as loss of lean muscle mass and weight rebound following treatment cessation," said Dr. Menzel. "I am passionate about developing novel therapies and look forward to working with Kalohexis as the team advances its melanocortin-based pipeline, which also includes mifomelatide for cancer cachexia, where there are currently no FDA-approved treatment options."

Dr. Menzel received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from St. John's College, University of Cambridge, his M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and his B.Sc. with Honors in Biochemistry from Imperial College of Science & Technology, London.
