Redefining the Safety Ceiling for Small EVs! AION UT Earns 2026 Euro NCAP Five-Star Rating

BRUSSELS, Sept. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- In the automotive world, Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) is widely recognized as one of the most rigorous and prestigious crash testing standards globally. Recently, Euro NCAP officially released its latest 2026 safety evaluation results: GAC's all-electric hatchback, the AION UT, achieved a prestigious Five-Star Safety Rating powered by its extraordinary hard-core strength.

Compared to the assessment protocols of previous years, the new 2026 Euro NCAP standards have undergone a comprehensive overhaul with significantly heightened criteria.

As one of the first mass-produced Chinese brand models to pass the latest 2026 Euro NCAP test protocols and earn a five-star honor, the AION UT demonstrated comprehensive and balanced strength across all four key evaluation dimensions: safe driving, crash avoidance, crash protection, and post-crash safety. This impressive performance not only highlights the technical prowess of Chinese manufacturing to the world, but also redefines the safety ceiling for small pure-electric vehicles.

The key to AION UT's exceptional performance in collision testing lies in its substantial engineering investment in structural architecture, which includes 71% High-Strength Steel Body, One-Piece Hot-stamped Dual-Ring Design, 180mm Extra-Wide Crash Box & High-Strength Bumper Beam, and Extreme Load-Bearing Capacity. In terms of occupant protection, the AION UT offers ultimate safety configurations that go far beyond its class, such as 2.1-Meter V-Side Air Curtains and Far-Side Airbag Protection. Beyond its physical steel architecture, the AION UT is further empowered by all-weather intelligent driving technology, featuring Full-Scenario Active Safety Algorithms, Precision Handling Chassis & Wide Tires, Ultra-Safe Magazine Battery Technology as well as CPD, DMS, and OMS Cabin Monitoring.

Earning the Euro NCAP Five-Star Safety Certification represents the ultimate endorsement from an authoritative international body for the AION UT's uncompromised safety engineering. GAC remains dedicated to prioritizing user safety, safeguarding every journey with world-leading quality and all-around protection!

GLS Bank Vorständin zur Landtagswahl Sachsen-Anhalt: Freiheit und Vielfalt sind Fundament für zukunftsfähige Wirtschaft

Bochum (ots)

Produktion in energieintensiven Industriezweigen gesunken

In diesen Branchen waren 2021 rund 930 000 Beschäftige in rund 7 000 Industriebetrieben in Deutschland tätig.

Half-yearly figures BNG 2026: Greater impact through strong growth in public investment

THE HAGUE, Netherlands, Sept. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- BNG has realised a net profit of EUR 101 million in the first half of 2026. Demand for financing increased significantly and BNG provided EUR 7.3 billion in new long-term lending, well above the EUR 5.3 billion recorded in the same period of 2025. The Bank also made important progress in implementing its Route to More Added Value strategy, including the successful launch of its green loan for housing associations. Through these efforts, BNG is once again making an essential contribution to addressing public investment challenges in a period of geopolitical tensions, economic uncertainty and volatile financial markets. The net interest income showed healthy growth. Nevertheless, profit declined as a result of a substantial negative result on financial transactions. The capital and liquidity position of the bank has remained strong.

- EUR 7.3 billion has been provided in new long-term loans, EUR 2 billion more than in the same period of 2025.

- Net profit of EUR 101 million, down EUR 41 million compared with the same period of 2025 due to the result on financial transactions (hedge accounting).

- Successful launch of a green loan for housing associations, providing additional support for sustainable investments.

- EUR 8.6 billion of funding raised, including EUR 4.0 billion in ESG bonds.

- Further implementation of the Route to More Added Value strategy through a simpler organisational model, increased digitalisation of processes, modernised IT and continued strong capital and liquidity ratios.

'Despite increasing global uncertainty, we see that our clients are continuing to invest in the major social challenges facing the Netherlands. Social housing associations are building affordable and sustainable homes, municipalities are continuing their investment agenda and the energy transition continues to require substantial investment from all of our public-sector clients. This is reflected in strong demand for affordable financing and results in growth in our lending, the clearest measure of our social impact', says CEO Philippine Risch. 'We are also taking the next step with our strategy 'Route to More Added Value'. We continue not only to be a reliable financier, but also to provide increasingly strong support to our clients as a knowledge partner and to engage at a much earlier stage in addressing societal challenges. With our new green loan for housing associations, affordability and sustainable outcomes are more closely aligned than ever.'

Financial results the first half of 2026

Net profit came to EUR 101 million (first half of 2025: EUR 142 million). Net profit was mainly driven by the net interest result of EUR 262 million (first half of 2025: EUR 246 million). The growth of the loan portfolio and increased interest rates have had a positive effect on earnings.

Commission result amounted to EUR 11 million (first half of 2025: EUR 12 million). The result for financial transactions deteriorated from EUR 3 million negative to EUR 56 million negative, mainly due to hedge accounting effects. The lower contribution from financial transactions largely explains the decline in net profit compared to a year earlier.

The result from impairments on financial assets was positive at EUR 8 million positive (first half of 2025: EUR 7 million positive). This was partly due to a further improvement in credit risk profiles and a decrease in provisions for expected credit losses.

Total assets increased by EUR 10.1 billion to EUR 125.7 billion. The nominal value of our long-term loan portfolio grew by EUR 1.6 billion to EUR 97.3 billion, a new record level. In the first six months of the year, BNG provided EUR 7.3 billion in new long-term loans, considerably more than EUR 5.3 billion in the same period of 2025. Growth was mainly driven by the demand for financing from social housing associations.

Total operating expenses increased by EUR 13 million to EUR 88 million. This was mainly caused by investments in strategic IT investments and operational improvement initiatives.

Despite the lower profit reported for the first half of 2026, the underlying performance remained strong, supported by growth in the loan portfolio, higher net interest income and a further improvement in credit quality. Consequently, BNG maintains a solid financial position.

Strong financial foundations for public investment

BNG attracted EUR 8.6 billion in long-term funding in the first half of 2026. Thanks to its continued good access to the international capital market, the bank was able to successfully implement its funding programme and strengthen its strong liquidity position further.

Liquidity and capital ratios remain well above regulatory requirements. The Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) stood at 221% and the Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) at 145%. The Common Equity Tier 1 ratio stayed at 42% and the leverage ratio was 12%.

From strategy to implementation

BNG took important steps in implementing the strategy 'Route to More Added Value' in the first half of 2026. The bank created a simpler and flatter organisational model, with clear responsibilities, more cooperation in customer-oriented value chains and more efficient processes.

In addition, an important step was taken in the further digitisation of the organisation. Investments in technology, data and digital resilience are strengthening BNG's capabilities and supporting a future-proof service to clients.

The strategy has also been translated into tangible initiatives for clients. For example, BNG introduced a green loan for social housing associations, whereby clients can receive a green bonus if they demonstrably achieve a sustainable impact. This way BNG is stimulating sustainable investments by social housing associations and contributing to their financing.

Looking ahead

For the second half of 2026, BNG expects geopolitical and economic uncertainties to continue and financial markets to remain volatile. At the same time, demand for financing from clients is expected to remain strong, while BNG continues to benefit from a robust funding position, a strong balance sheet and ample liquidity buffers.

Risch: 'Especially in times of uncertainty, our role is to provide stability and confidence and to ensure that essential investments can continue. With our strong market position, solid financial foundation and clear strategic mission, we continue to invest in our organisation and remain there for our clients at all times through our expertise and financing solutions. We are committed to helping them deliver on their societal objectives. Together, we are creating greater social and environmental value for the Netherlands.'

ACG to Acquire Keşkek Licence to Extend Gold Production

LONDON, Sept. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ACG Metals Limited ("ACG" or the "Company") is pleased to announce it has entered into a binding agreement with Meta Nikel Kobalt Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. ("META") to acquire 100% of mining licence 60926 and all rights associated with it (together, the "Licence"), which contains the Keşkek gold project ("Keşkek" or the "Project"), for an initial cash consideration of US$4 million plus potential contingent payments as described below.

Keşkek provides a new source of oxide ore within 70 km of ACG's Gediktepe mine in Türkiye and is expected to extend the utilisation of the Company's heap leach facility (the "Facility") by several years.

Highlights

- Acquisition of the Licence, covering 666 hectares, for an initial cash consideration of US$4 million and potential deferred cash consideration of US$3.85 million at start of production in mid-2027.

- Secures extension of oxide feed for the Facility, supporting continued gold production and utilisation of existing infrastructure following full realisation of the production potential of Gediktepe's own oxide ore.

- Initial oxide feed to come from the META defined Keşkek pit, containing approximately 300 kt grading 0.90 g/t Au at an estimated waste-to-ore strip ratio of 1:1.

- ACG's technical team estimates the Keşkek Licence to contain a mineral resource of 1.5 Mt grading 0.65 g/t Au. Exploration potential for an additional 5–10 Mt of mineralisation grading 0.7–1.0 g/t Au, subject to further drilling.

- Metallurgical testwork undertaken by ACG achieved gold recoveries of 75–80%, increasing to approximately 85% using Gediktepe's existing patented proprietary recovery process.

- Located approximately 70 km from Gediktepe, with ACG's existing mining contractor already established at the META site and connecting infrastructure in place.

- Mining and gold production are targeted to commence in mid-2027 after residual leaching of the material currently on the heap is complete, subject to permitting.

Artem Volynets, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ACG, said:

"The acquisition of Keşkek provides an attractive opportunity to extend our gold production profile by securing a nearby source of gold-bearing oxide ore that can be processed using existing infrastructure at Gediktepe. This will enable ACG to continue primary gold production in addition to production of copper and zinc concentrates from our own sulphide ores via the flotation facility that we are just starting to ramp up.

The Project is a clear example of our disciplined approach to identifying value-accretive growth opportunities that leverage our existing infrastructure and operating capabilities and generate additional cash flow."

Acquisition Terms

ACG will acquire the Licence from META for cash consideration of US$7.85 million.

The consideration comprises: (i) US$4.0 million payable following execution of the definitive agreement and approval of the transfer of the Licence to ACG by the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs expected to conclude in October 2026; and (ii) US$3.85 million linked to the Environmental Impact Assessment permitting process, expected to conclude by mid-2027.

In addition, META will receive a 1% gross revenue royalty on gold mined from the Licence area. ACG will also pay US$60 per ounce for additional gold discovered and converted to ore reserves outside the defined Keşkek pit.

Total Project acquisition, phased exploration and closure expenditure is estimated at approximately US$15 million over ten years.

Project Overview and Development

The Keşkek pit, defined by the META technical team and verified by ACG's technical team, contains approximately 300 kt grading 0.90 g/t Au at an estimated waste-to-ore strip ratio of 1:1. It will provide the initial source of additional oxide feed for ACG's existing heap-leach facility.

Metallurgical testwork undertaken by ACG supports the planned processing routes, indicating column-leach gold recoveries of 75–80%, increasing to approximately 85% using Gediktepe's existing patented proprietary recovery process. Higher-grade ore will be processed through the Facility, while lower-grade material is expected to be stockpiled for subsequent processing through ACG's Enriched Ore plant.

The Project will leverage Gediktepe's existing infrastructure. Ore will be transported to Gediktepe via paved and gravel haulage routes. Uluova, ACG's existing mining contractor, is already established at the META site, supporting efficient trucking operations. Transport costs are expected to benefit further from Keşkek's location along ACG's existing concentrate offtake route, creating potential synergies with concentrate deliveries.

Mining and gold production are targeted to commence in mid-2027, by which time ACG expects all recoverable gold and silver from the material currently under heap leach to have been recovered. Production from Keşkek is expected to extend the operating life of Gediktepe's gold production circuit by several years.

Further Resource and Exploration Upside

The Mining Licence covers 666 hectares and contains an internally estimated indicated mineral resource of 1.5 Mt grading 0.65 g/t Au, including the defined Keşkek pit.

Technical review by ACG and Ridge Minerals has identified potential for further exploration targeting an additional 5–10 Mt of mineralisation grading 0.7–1.0 g/t Au within the Licence area, subject to further drilling. ACG's Facility is expected to have sufficient capacity to handle increased oxide throughput should additional ore reserves be delineated.

There is no certainty at this stage that further exploration will result in Mineral Resources.
