The 100% Smart Business Class airline will introduce up to five weekly flights in

Spring 2027, connecting New York with Düsseldorf and the Rhine-Ruhr region

NEW YORK, Sept. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- La Compagnie, the 100% Smart Business Class airline, today announced plans to launch nonstop service between New York's Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) in Germany, beginning in Spring 2027.

Operating up to five times weekly, the route will connect New York with Düsseldorf and the Rhine-Ruhr region, one of Europe's most important economic centers, providing a new premium option for transatlantic business and leisure travel. Upon launch, La Compagnie will be the only airline to offer nonstop service between New York and Düsseldorf.

The new service responds to clear demand in North Rhine-Westphalia, a globally connected economic region with deep and longstanding ties to the U.S. Düsseldorf is one of the world's leading trade show destinations and a hub for international companies across fashion, telecommunications, life sciences, professional services and advanced manufacturing. More than 24,000 international companies are based in the state, including approximately 1,700 U.S. companies. The United States is also North Rhine-Westphalia's most important non-European export market, underscoring the value of direct service to New York.

As the largest airport in Germany's most populous federal state, Düsseldorf Airport combines a strong local market with accessibility, efficiency and a premium airport environment. For leisure travelers, Düsseldorf offers art, architecture, shopping and gastronomy, while also serving as a convenient gateway to the Rhineland's historic towns, vineyards, castles and renowned river-cruise itineraries along the Rhine. The airport's proximity to the Netherlands and Belgium also makes the route an attractive option for travelers from neighboring regions.

"Düsseldorf represents a natural next chapter in La Compagnie's development," said Christian Vernet, President and CEO of La Compagnie. "At the heart of one of Europe's most dynamic economic regions, with strong international businesses and longstanding ties to the United States, North Rhine-Westphalia is well suited to our unique all-business-class model. We look forward to welcoming travelers from the region on board, while also offering our American clientele a new and convenient gateway to Germany."

"This connection is an exceptional fit for Düsseldorf and North Rhine-Westphalia," explains Lars Redeligx, CEO of Düsseldorf Airport. "The United States is a key market for our state's economy, and New York is one of the world's most important travel destinations. La Compagnie is bringing a clearly defined product to our airport: nonstop, comfortable and designed for people who want to cross the Atlantic efficiently and in a relaxed way. The fact that this offer, unique in Germany, is launching in Düsseldorf says a great deal about the strength of our airport and our catchment area."

NEW YORK–DÜSSELDORF SERVICE

Beginning in Spring 2027, La Compagnie will offer up to five weekly flights between New York and Düsseldorf during the summer season aboard a new Airbus A321neo LR. Schedule details and tickets are now available at LaCompagnie.com, through the airline's call center and via travel advisors.

A SEAMLESS, ALL-BUSINESS-CLASS JOURNEY

The Düsseldorf route will offer La Compagnie's signature end-to-end experience, from lounge access at departure to its intimate, exclusively business-class cabin. At Düsseldorf Airport, passengers will have access to the DUS Sky Lounge in Pier C. In Newark, La Compagnie guests can access Lounge&Co, the airline's recently renovated and dedicated private lounge.

Aboard La Compagnie's Airbus A321neo aircraft, every seat converts into a fully flat bed. The experience also includes complimentary gate-to-gate unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art entertainment, a generous baggage allowance, seasonal menus created by renowned chefs and paired with French wines and Champagne, and amenity kits featuring Beau Domaine skincare, all designed to create a more enjoyable journey.

CONTINUED GROWTH ACROSS THE ATLANTIC

The Düsseldorf launch marks another significant milestone for La Compagnie, which has been redefining business-class travel since 2014. The airline currently connects Newark with Paris Orly, Nice Côte d'Azur and Milan Malpensa, and recently announced the extension of its New York–Nice service into the winter season for the first time.

La Compagnie's route expansion will be supported by the planned arrival of a third Airbus A321neo LR in 2027, followed by a fourth Airbus A321neo XLR in 2028. As part of its commitment to more responsible air travel, the airline is investing in quieter, more fuel-efficient aircraft designed to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 30% compared with its previous-generation fleet, placing them among the most efficient aircraft available for transatlantic operations. The additions will also deliver greater range and operational flexibility, further advancing La Compagnie's long-term international growth while maintaining the distinctive all-business-class experience at the heart of its model.

ABOUT LA COMPAGNIE

Launched in 2014, La Compagnie is a French airline that has been reinventing business-class travel through a unique, personal approach. It has connected New York's Newark Liberty International Airport with Paris Orly since its founding, Nice since 2019 and Milan Malpensa since 2022. More than a premium carrier, La Compagnie offers a fresh vision of smart business-class travel for discerning travelers seeking a more refined experience.

Its current fleet of latest-generation Airbus A321neo aircraft is configured entirely in 100% Business Class, with just 76 seats in a 2-2 layout. This intimate cabin features fully lie-flat beds, an innovative entertainment system, complimentary unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi, gourmet seasonal dining created with renowned chefs and a generous baggage allowance. From the airport to arrival, travelers enjoy a seamless experience that includes lounge access at every airport, including the exclusive Lounge&Co private space at Newark.

U.S. District Court Invalidates Kaneka's Ubiquinol Patent, Clearing the Way for Cocrystal Tech's CrysQnol™ in the U.S. Market

Judge Overturns Kaneka's '080 Patent for Lack of Utility and Enablement, Removing Legal Uncertainty for Customers and Partners

JIAXING, China, Sept. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Cocrystal Technology (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd. ("Cocrystal Tech") today announced that the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York has ruled in the company's favor in its long-running patent dispute with Kaneka Corporation, holding that the two patent claims asserted against Cocrystal Tech are invalid. In a Memorandum and Order issued September 2, 2026 in Kaneka Corp. vs. Cocrystal Technology (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd. et al., Case No. 1:23-cv-07483 (E.D.N.Y.), the Court found that Kaneka failed to meet the utility and enablement requirements of U.S. patent law, entered judgment in Cocrystal Tech's favor, and closed the case. As a result, Cocrystal Tech is entitled to continue to manufacture, market, and sell its reduced coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinol) ingredient, marketed under the CrysQnol™ trademark, in the United States without restriction under the invalidated patent.

Kaneka filed suit against Cocrystal Tech in October 2023 in the Eastern District of New York, alleging that Crystal QH® - Cocrystal Tech's flagship ubiquinol ingredient, now marketed as CrysQnol™ - infringed U.S. Patent No. 7,829,080 (the "'080 Patent"). The asserted claims cover compositions of reduced coenzyme Q10 containing any amount of reduced coenzyme Q11, a naturally occurring minor component found in CoQ10 materials. Although Cocrystal Tech stipulated that its product fell within the literal language of the asserted claims, it maintained throughout the litigation that the claims were invalid. Following nearly two years of fact and expert discovery, the Court agreed, finding on summary judgment that Kaneka's asserted invention was based on an untested hypothesis rather than a patentable invention. The Court further noted that even Kaneka's own inventors and expert witnesses could not explain, and had never studied, how or why coenzyme Q11 would have any stabilizing effect.

The ruling brings welcome finality to a dispute that has spanned nearly three years and removes a significant source of uncertainty for the U.S. nutraceutical industry. With the asserted patent claims invalidated, brand partners, formulators, CMOs and distributors can evaluate CrysQnol™ on its own technical and commercial merits - including stability, bioavailability, formulation flexibility, supply security, and cost efficiency.

The decision also underscores years of investment in Cocrystal Tech's proprietary cocrystal stabilization technology, reinforcing the company's position as an innovator in the global ubiquinol ingredient market. "Our focus has never been on following an established path, but on solving difficult scientific problems through our own research and technology," said Dr. Xuefeng Mei, Founder of Cocrystal Tech. "We are pleased that the Court has recognized the importance of the issues at stake in this case. For us, the ruling marks not an endpoint, but an opportunity to bring our technology to more customers and continue innovating in the U.S. market".

Introducing CrysQnol™: The New Name for Cocrystal's Ubiquinol

In conjunction with this legal milestone, Cocrystal Tech - owner of the Crystal QH® trademark - has initiated the transition to its new CrysQnol™ brand, formalizing the rebrand across its global trademark matrix. Customers and partners can expect full continuity of formulation and specifications through the transition, with the CrysQnol™ brand now serving as the unified identity for Cocrystal's ubiquinol ingredient.

The favorable ruling comes as Cocrystal Tech continues to expand its portfolio of premium, science-backed nutritional ingredients. Built on the company's proprietary Cocrysta™ technology platform, Cocrystal Tech's ingredient lineup - including CrysQnol™, CurCutine™, Precitein™, and UroRenu™ - is designed to improve the stability, bioavailability, and performance of some of the industry's most in-demand nutraceutical compounds. Cocrystal Tech remains committed to protecting and growing its intellectual property portfolio and to investing in the research that differentiates its ingredients in an increasingly competitive global market.

Powered by the 8-core, 16-thread AMD Ryzen™ 7 7730U, the A5 2027 Edition is built for real-world productivity — from running 30+ browser tabs alongside video meetings and large spreadsheets to Photoshop, 2D design and light 4K editing. With up to 64GB of memory, 7TB of storage and four-display support, it gives professionals, creators and small businesses the flexibility to build a workspace around the way they work.

Together with flexible memory and storage upgrades, this quality-from-the-inside-out approach gives GEEKOM the confidence to offer a three-year warranty and engineer its PCs for more than five years of service.

Reliability also means being ready when work does not stop. The A5 2027 Edition's IceBlast 3.0 cooling system combines a larger silent fan, copper heat pipe and dedicated copper plate to efficiently move heat away from critical components. Better thermal control reduces throttling and long-term heat stress, enabling stable 24/7 operation for offices, retail systems, digital signage and other always-on environments.

The A5 2027 Edition also brings AI into everyday productivity. It can serve as a personal AI assistant for research, writing, content creation and data analysis, while emerging agentic applications can automate more complex, multi-step workflows. With stable, always-on operation, the A5 2027 Edition can keep these AI workflows running in the background when needed — helping users get more done with less hands-on effort.

The A5 2027 Edition brings GEEKOM's vision of all-day productivity to life: built to do more, built to keep running and built to last. Best All-Day Productivity Mini PC. Cool・Silent・Stable.

Truecaller expands enterprise suite; allows consumers to communicate with businesses in a tap

STOCKHOLM, Sept. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Truecaller, the leading global platform for safe and trusted communication, today launched Post-Call Actions, a new capability that enables consumers to complete important tasks immediately when the call ends. The functionality is first rolling out to the high intent category of last-mile delivery companies, soon to be followed by use cases and customisable options supporting the big industry of banking, financial services and insurance. Post-Call Actions ensures a business call no longer ends with "we'll send you a link." It ends with getting the job done.

Post-Call Actions appear at the exact moment people are already paying attention: the instant when a verified business call ends. A branded action card appears automatically in Truecaller, and whatever the next step is, it becomes one tap away, no app to download, no link to hunt for, no queue to wait in.

For deliveries, the friction is familiar: a call arrives when you're at work or mid-commute—impossible to take, and by the time it's returned, the slot is gone. Or it is answered, but the same directions have to be repeated to yet another new agent. With post-call actions, customers can now instantly reschedule the delivery, confirm their availability, share precise location, or authorize a safe drop—directly in Truecaller.

For banking, financial services, and insurance customers, the stakes and the anxiety are higher. A call from a bank today could be genuine or a sophisticated impersonation scam. Because Post Call Actions only appear after Verified Business calls, customers can now act with confidence instead of second-guessing. From that trusted screen, they can pay dues, request a callback, complete a pending KYC step, or confirm a transaction, without hunting for a link that may or may not be genuine, at a time when impersonation fraud is at an all-time high.

For the businesses on the other end of the call, Post-Call Actions changes what a completed call means. Call performance has traditionally been measured by pick up rates. Now it can be measured by whether it was resolved—with the follow-through happening in the same trusted moment, on the same screen, instead of leaking away across SMS links, app downloads, and abandoned IVR queues.

"A phone call has been the most human way for a business to communicate with customers. But it usually ends with homework for them," said Priyam Bose, Global Head, GTM, Truecaller for Business. "Post-Call Actions resolve this. The delivery gets rescheduled, the bill gets paid, the KYC gets done, all in the same trusted moment, on the same screen, irrespective of the calls getting picked up or unanswered."

Berlin (ots)

Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea, Successfully Concludes 'GBC 2026,' Marking a Great Leap in Bio

– 5,600 participants from 19 countries discuss global bio innovation and the path forward –

– Strengthened global regulatory cooperation, with a total of 23 meetings held with overseas regulators and industry, including 5 regulatory cooperation meetings –

SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- This is an article published in The Korea Herald:

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea (MFDS, Minister Oh Yu-Kyoung) announced that it has successfully concluded the "2026 Global Bio Conference (GBC)," held under the theme "The Great Leap in Bio, Accelerating Innovation" from Wednesday, 26 August to Friday, 28 August at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas.

Now in its 12th edition, this year's GBC brought together approximately 5,600* participants — including regulatory authorities, pharmaceutical and biotech industry professionals, and academic experts in the biopharmaceutical field from 19 countries around the world. Together with 75 overseas experts, participants from Korea and abroad shared the latest technology and development trends in the bio field and global regulatory policy, and discussed innovation and future directions for a great leap in the bio industry.

* A total of 75 biopharmaceutical experts from 19 countries gave presentations, with approximately 5,600 participants from academia, industry and regulatory authorities attending online and offline (Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Policy and Quality Forum: 483; Vaccine Forum: 462; Recombinant Protein Products Forum: 591; and others)

In particular, this year's GBC strengthened regulatory innovation in step with advances in cutting-edge bio technology, while also deepening international regulatory cooperation through 5 cooperation meetings among regulatory authorities, 16 meetings between 9 domestic companies and overseas regulatory authorities, and 2 meetings between overseas companies and MFDS — supporting K-Bio's entry into the global market and expanding the cooperative network among regulatory authorities.

[Innovation] Accelerating the Great Leap in Bio through Advanced Technology and Regulatory Innovation

This year's GBC held wide-ranging discussions on the latest technology trends at home and abroad, and on corresponding regulatory response strategies, in step with fast-evolving innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced biopharmaceuticals, and with changes in the biopharmaceutical development environment.

In addition, through field-specific forums on vaccines, recombinant protein products and advanced biopharmaceuticals, along with a range of specialized programmes, the conference shared the latest R&D trends and approval/review case studies, and explored ways to build a reasonable regulatory environment so that innovative biopharmaceuticals can be developed swiftly, expanding treatment opportunities for patients.

"GBC Special: K-Bio Innovation Leaders Talk," which brought together companies leading Korea's bio industry, shared their experience and successful strategies in taking on global markets, and exchanged views on the innovation, challenges and future direction needed for K-Bio to lead the global market.

[Cooperation] Strengthening Cooperation among Regulatory Authorities and Supporting K-Bio's Global Expansion

Global regulators from Canada, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and other countries shared their countries' approval and review systems, the latest policy trends, and cases of information exchange and joint cooperation among global regulatory authorities at the "Regulatory Workshop," and exchanged views on ways to strengthen international cooperation.

Regulatory authorities from Korea, the United States, Japan and Europe also discussed the current status and key issues of approval and review systems for recombinant protein products, as well as ways to cooperate on reviews.

In particular, at the joint workshop with Japan's regulatory authority — now in its 9th year — participants shared and discussed the latest review cases for a range of products incorporating advanced bio technologies, including the world's first approved induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) therapy, coordinating the direction of global review and regulation in the field of advanced biopharmaceuticals.

In addition, at a bilateral meeting with Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM), the two sides discussed cooperation on the stable supply of source plasma and, building on regulatory trust in the field of drug approval and review, Korea proposed being registered as a reference country for Indonesia, agreeing to continue working-level discussions to put this into practice.

Meanwhile, 1:1 meetings were held between global regulators from Canada, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia and Korean companies seeking to export, providing a venue to support exports by exploring overseas approval and licensing strategies.

Building on the network of cooperation with experts and regulatory authorities from Korea and abroad built through this year's GBC, MFDS plans to continue regulatory innovation in the biopharmaceutical field and to actively support Korean companies' entry into global markets.

MFDS also stated that it will continue to develop GBC into a leading international event for sharing innovative technologies and regulatory policy in the global biopharmaceutical field, and will make every effort so that the Republic of Korea can leap forward as a nation leading global biopharmaceutical regulation and industrial innovation.

Moonlock by MacPaw Wins Red Dot Award 2026
Image File
Original HTML

Since launching in October 2025, Moonlock has taken a different approach to cybersecurity, reflected in every detail of the app. Its intuitive interface, plain-spoken copy, and hand-drawn illustrations replace the cold, technical tone common to security software. The result is a security app making protection feel easy and stress-free for everyone, expert or not.

Clear, human, beautiful products are a core MacPaw value, and the company pays attention to every detail, from aesthetics to user experience. Moonlock is no exception: it was built to make cybersecurity accessible to everyone, whatever their background — and design is central to that mission.

"Cybersecurity has a reputation for being intimidating — all alerts and jargon, with the sense that you need to be an expert just to stay safe. We built Moonlock to change that," said Oleg Stukalenko, Head of Product Management at Moonlock by MacPaw. "From the start, we wanted it to feel human and welcoming, so that online protection becomes a natural part of everyday life rather than something people worry about. We think of design as everything someone actually experiences with us, not just the screen in front of them. Having the Red Dot jury recognize that work means a lot to the whole team."

The Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design celebrates the craft behind how a product looks, feels, and speaks to the people who use it. Held since 1993, the competition is open to established and emerging designers, agencies, and companies across 18 categories. Each year, an international jury of 30 experts from design, science, media, and consultancy evaluates the entries, bringing a wide range of professional and cultural perspectives to every decision.

With this win, Moonlock continues MacPaw's legacy of design excellence. It is the company's fourth Red Dot Award: in 2017, Gemini 2 became the first macOS application to win the honor, followed by CleanMyMac in 2021 and CleanMy®Phone in 2024.

About Moonlock

Moonlock is a part of the MacPaw ecosystem that offers simple, approachable, and stress-free Mac protection and antivirus capabilities.

About MacPaw
