Leifras Continues to Operate Nagoya City's Nagoya Club Activities Human Resources Bank, Addressing Instructor Shortage

Three-Year Contract — Platform Supporting Elementary Schools' "New Sports and Cultural Activities"

TOKYO, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- LEIFRAS Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: LFS) (the "Company" or "Leifras"), a sports and social business company dedicated to youth sports and community engagement, and a leading operator of children's sports schools and school club activity support businesses in Japan, today announced that it had been awarded a continuation contract by the City of Nagoya for the "Nagoya School Club Activities Human Resources Bank Operation Services" (the "Contract"). Under the Contract, the Company will continue, for the three years beginning September 1, 2026, to comprehensively operate the recruitment, training, and matching system for instructors responsible for the "new sports and cultural activities" at Nagoya municipal elementary schools (the "Project"), which activities the Company has operated since April 2022. The Project is designed to address the challenge of securing qualified local staff capable of providing professional and safe instruction, as the country transitions the manner in which school club activities are conducted from school-based to community-based management, and to facilitate the establishment of a sustainable operating structure.

Nagoya City's "Nagoya Club Activities Human Resources Bank" Initiative

Nagoya City has implemented "New Sports and Cultural Activities," under which the operation of club activities at municipal elementary schools is outsourced to private-sector service providers. Across municipal elementary schools in the city's 16 wards, sports, music, and other activities are offered after school on weekdays to students in grades four through six who wish to participate.

The "Nagoya Club Activities Human Resources Bank" serves as a framework for recruiting and training instructors and other personnel needed to support these activities.

Through its operation of the Nagoya Club Activities Human Resources Bank, the Company recruits and trains instructors and supports the development of an environment in which children in Nagoya City can safely participate in meaningful and fulfilling sports and cultural activities.

Overview and Features of the "Nagoya Club Activities Human Resources Bank"

In furtherance of the Project, the Company manages the entire process of recruiting and training individuals to serve as instructors for new sports and cultural activities with a comprehensive approach.

- Large-scale recruitment through public relations activities: In addition to operating a dedicated website, the Company plans to conduct ongoing public relations activities, leveraging major recruitment advertising media and various social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, with the goal of attracting several hundred prospective instructors each year.

- Comprehensive training focused on safety and instructional quality: Leifras plans to provide registered instructors with basic and specialized training covering sport-specific instructional methods, safety management, allergy response, harassment prevention, and other areas. In addition, the Company plans to provide regular training to support continuous skill development to ensure the safety of children participating in activities in Nagoya City. These efforts will be supported by the Company's safety management expertise, which have enabled it to maintain a record of zero serious accidents.

- Dedicated matching system for efficient instructor recruitment: The Company plans to build a system designed to support smooth recruitment-matching by establishing a database of individuals interested in serving as instructors that allows club activity operators at each school to search for personnel based on preferred ward, sport, and other criteria and pursuant to which offers may be extended directly.

Future Outlook

Under its corporate philosophy "to change and design sports," Leifras expects to fully leverage the instructor platform and the training expertise it has developed to addressing challenges related to the "regional transition of school club activities" for local governments nationwide. The Company plans to apply the knowledge gained through the Project to develop a nationwide school club activity infrastructure that will support a sustainable educational ecosystem in which children can continue to enjoy safe and fulfilling sports and cultural activities.

Comfrt Athlete Campaign Draws 2.3x Expected Participation Through NIL Club
Image File
Original HTML

Atlanta, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Comfrt's latest college athlete campaign exceeded expectations, attracting more than 2.3 times the projected number of athletes through NIL Club, the largest team-based NIL platform in college sports. The campaign reached capacity ahead of schedule as athletes signed up faster than either company anticipated.

Athletes selected a Comfrt hoodie and sweatpants, created an Instagram Reel from a real moment in their day, and earned reimbursement for the apparel plus a 10 percent commission on every sale their content generated.

The campaign worked because the product already fit naturally into athletes' lives. Comfrt's slightly weighted, combed-cotton hoodies have become a familiar sight on travel days, recovery days, and the everyday moments between competitions. Many participating athletes already owned and wore the brand before the campaign launched. They weren't trying to convince anyone to buy an unfamiliar product. They were sharing something that was already part of their daily routine.

"The campaigns that fill this fast are the ones where athletes already love the product," said Mick Assaf, CEO and Co-Founder of NIL Club. "We didn't have to convince anyone to wear Comfrt. We simply gave athletes a way to get paid for sharing something that was already part of their everyday lives."

Comfrt gained direct access to one of the largest communities of college athletes in the country. NIL Club connects brands with more than 650,000 registered student-athletes across 2,000-plus schools and 20,000-plus team communities. Instead of paying for broad awareness campaigns, Comfrt reached engaged college audiences through authentic athlete-created content. Athletes received premium apparel, reimbursement for their purchase, and an ongoing commission that turned everyday content into meaningful income.

The campaign reinforces a broader lesson in athlete marketing. The strongest partnerships are the ones that already fit. When athletes genuinely use a product, the content feels authentic, audiences respond, and brands build credibility instead of simply buying attention.

NIL Club members can explore current brand opportunities through the NIL Club app.

Greg DuPey of Pillar To Post Home Inspectors Named Franchisee of the Year by International Franchise Association

Pennsylvania-Based Franchise Owner Recognized for Business Growth, Resilience, and Contributions to the Franchise Community

TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Pillar To Post Home Inspectors (Pillar To Post), North America's leading home inspection company, is proud to announce that franchise business owner Greg DuPey has been named a 2026 Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association (IFA). The prestigious award recognizes franchise owners who exemplify excellence in their businesses, communities, and franchise systems.

DuPey and his wife, Theresa, purchased an existing Pillar To Post franchise in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, in 2012 after he spent decades leading large-scale foodservice operations. What began as an opportunity to pursue business ownership became a nearly fourfold expansion of the business and a long-term commitment to the Pillar To Post franchise community.

The IFA's Franchisee of the Year awards recognize franchise owners who demonstrate excellence in business, give back to their communities, create opportunities for those around them and support their fellow franchisees. DuPey will be honored at the IFA26 Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C., Sept. 14-16, for being an outstanding franchise owner with excellence in entrepreneurship, community outreach, workforce development, and service to others. Nominated by their brand, the IFA Franchisee of the Year awards are given to top franchisees from IFA member brands across industries and communities around the country.

"Franchisees of the Year demonstrate what franchising is all about – individuals who have committed their lives and careers to the betterment of those around them, building something bigger than themselves," said Matt Haller, President and CEO of the International Franchise Association. "Through their leadership, they create jobs and build careers, give back to their communities, and support other franchisees, all while exemplifying the entrepreneurial spirit at the heart of franchising. We are proud to recognize Greg with IFA's highest honor for individual franchisees and celebrate his commitment to making a difference both within his business and beyond."

DuPey's journey has not been without challenges. Shortly after acquiring the business, DuPey suffered a serious back injury after falling from a roof, leaving him in a body cast during his recovery. Even with the injury, DuPey never stopped working and both he and Theresa guided the business through injury, economic downturns and more. Consistently adapting, scaling strategically, and continuing to invest in relationships within his local market has led to tremendous success.

Today, DuPey is one of Pillar To Post's leading franchise owners and a trusted resource for fellow entrepreneurs. He has also been recognized by Pillar To Post as its Franchise Business Owner of the Year for his sales performance and contributions to the franchise system. Beyond his own business, DuPey regularly shares his experience with other franchise owners and serves as a mentor and resource within the Pillar To Post network.

"Greg's story is a powerful example of what makes franchising so special," said Charles Furlough, CEO of Pillar To Post Home Inspectors. "He has built an exceptional business, but what stands out just as much is his willingness to help the people around him. Greg has experienced the highs and lows of business ownership and consistently shares what he's learned with fellow franchise owners. He truly embodies the spirit of this award, and we couldn't be more proud to see him recognized by the IFA."

Pillar To Post continues to seek qualified entrepreneurs interested in building scalable home inspection businesses with the support of an established national brand. For more information about Pillar To Post Home Inspectors and franchise opportunities, visit www.franchise.pillartopost.com.

COLE HAAN LAUNCHES "COMFORTABLE ANYWHERE" CAMPAIGN STARRING CHRISTIAN SLATER AND JENNY SLATE
Image File
Original HTML

Cole Haan's fall 2026 global campaign is about staying comfortable, confident and completely yourself—whatever the day throws your way.

NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Cole Haan unveils Comfortable Anywhere, its fall 2026 global brand campaign starring Christian Slater and Jenny Slate.

Comfortable Anywhere builds on Cole Haan's longstanding belief that looking good and feeling good should never be a trade-off. Christian's understated cool and Jenny's expressive wit bring two unique personalities to the campaign.

"We wanted Comfortable Anywhere to feel real. Not perfectly planned or overly polished," said Krissie Millan, Chief Marketing Officer at Cole Haan. "Christian and Jenny bring a sense of humor to everyday moments that made them perfect for this campaign. They know how to keep things in perspective, which feels very Cole Haan."

Shot in a day-in-the-life format, the films find Christian preparing for the arrival of dinner guests while Jenny faces a looming deadline. Christian takes a decidedly relaxed approach to hosting—and making homemade pasta for the first time—while Jenny searches for inspiration everywhere but her desk. Through it all, Cole Haan provides the comfort to keep moving through whatever the day brings.

Christian and Jenny wear the GrandPrø FlexCraft™ sneaker throughout the campaign, bringing Cole Haan's FlexCraft™ technology to a sneaker for the first time. Originally developed for dress footwear, FlexCraft™ allows lightweight cushioning to take on the refined look of a traditional stacked-leather heel—bringing an element of classic shoemaking craft and polished comfort to a modern sneaker.

Additional fall hero styles include the ØriginalGrand SkyWeave™ Everarc worn by Christian—Cole Haan's first performance runner, engineered with SkyWeave™ technology and FeatherFeel™ cushioning—and the GrandPrø Runner 2.0 worn by Jenny, an ultra-lightweight sneaker designed for all-day wear.

The featured styles are part of a broader fall wardrobe of sneakers, loafers, boots, handbags and accessories—all designed with the same idea in mind: looking pulled together shouldn't come at the expense of feeling comfortable.

Comfortable Anywhere brings Cole Haan's Feel What's Possible™ philosophy to life: when you feel at ease with where you are, you're more open to what comes next. With its centennial approaching in 2028, Cole Haan is building on nearly a century of craft while continuing to look ahead.

Developed in partnership with brand transformation agency Invisible Dynamics, Comfortable Anywhere launches globally on September 9, 2026, across digital, out-of-home, colehaan.com and Cole Haan retail. The launch will be supported by paid social and a strategic influencer and creator program, bringing the campaign and fall product assortment to new and engaged audiences. Seasonal products will be available at colehaan.com, Cole Haan stores and select wholesale partners worldwide.

ABOUT COLE HAAN Cole Haan is a global American lifestyle brand distributed in more than 100 countries worldwide. For nearly a century, Cole Haan has combined time-honored craft with modern innovation to create footwear and lifestyle accessories that bring style and comfort together in unexpected ways. Today, the brand continues to build on that legacy with a growing collection designed for modern life. To learn more, visit colehaan.com and follow @colehaan.

- Actor, advocate and founder of The Michael J. Fox Foundation named a laureate of the 2026 Lasker Awards, widely recognized as America's preeminent research prize

- Fox honored "for empowering patients' voices and accelerating research to find improved therapies and a cure for Parkinson's disease"

NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (MJFF) today celebrates founder Michael J. Fox as the recipient of the 2026 Lasker~Bloomberg Public Service Award, recognizing his extraordinary contributions to advancing Parkinson's research through scientific entrepreneurialism, courageous activism, community mobilization and philanthropic humanitarianism.

Widely recognized as America's preeminent biomedical research prize, the Lasker Awards are among the most prestigious honors in science and medicine — more than 100 Lasker Laureates have also received the Nobel Prize. The Lasker~Bloomberg Public Service Award honors individuals and organizations whose public service accelerates progress in medical science or health. The official Lasker citation recognizes Fox for "dispelling the stigma of the disease and spearheading a revolution in the world of Parkinson's research."

"Receiving a Lasker is humbling," said Michael J. Fox. "I share this honor with everyone who works side by side with us — scientists, policymakers, and most of all, the patients and families who give their all to this cause. I am deeply grateful to them, and to everyone who is part of the effort to end Parkinson's."

Diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991 at age 29, Michael J. Fox founded MJFF in 2000 with an ambitious goal: accelerate the development of better Parkinson's treatments and, ultimately, a cure. At a time when Parkinson's research was characterized by chronic underinvestment and stalled innovation, Fox helped pioneer an entrepreneurial approach to biomedical philanthropy, assembling an in-house team of PhD-trained scientists and business strategists to learn from patients themselves about their unmet medical needs and fund high-risk, high-reward research that patients themselves would want pursued.

Under the leadership of Fox, CEO and Co-Founder Deborah W. Brooks and a skilled Foundation staff, MJFF has rapidly grown into the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, having funded more than $3 billion globally to date, a portion in partnership with the Aligning Science Across Parkinson's (ASAP) initiative funded by the Sergey Brin Family Foundation. Lasker and Nobel Laureate Randy Schekman, PhD, serves as ASAP's scientific advisory board chair and was Michael J. Fox's Lasker nominator.

In its short history, the Foundation has transformed the Parkinson's landscape, helping build the most robust therapeutic pipeline in the disease's history and cultivating a research ecosystem that has supported 23 new drug approvals over the past decade. Today, MJFF now invests significantly more in Parkinson's research each year than the U.S. federal government.

Fox has matched his commitment to scientific discovery with a powerful voice of advocacy. In 1999, before founding MJFF, he testified before Congress to call for greater federal investment in Parkinson's research. He later became a leading voice for research freedom, helping advance the national dialogue on stem cell research in the mid-2000s. The Foundation has carried that advocacy forward, most recently calling upon hundreds of thousands of grassroots policy advocates to help secure passage of the National Plan to End Parkinson's Act in July 2024, which established the National Parkinson's Project, the first comprehensive federal legislation dedicated to the disease.

Fox has been equally influential in ensuring that people living with Parkinson's have a seat at the table to inform research on the disease. His openness about his own experience helped smash stigma, while MJFF has created both formal and informal opportunities for patients and families to help shape the Foundation's scientific agenda. Under his leadership, the Foundation has built a global network of patients, academic researchers, clinicians, industry leaders and philanthropists united by a shared sense of urgency. Today, that community includes an audience of nearly four million including 1.2 million donors since inception — a testament to Fox's ability to transform individual acts of generosity and support into a global community.

The Lasker Award adds to a significant body of recognition for Fox's humanitarian leadership. For nearly three decades, he has transformed his Parkinson's diagnosis into a global call to action, using his public platform to champion research investment and scientific risk-taking while elevating the needs of patients and families. His many distinctions include the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, the Order of Canada, and multiple honorary degrees from leading universities and medical institutions worldwide. An acclaimed actor and bestselling author, Fox has brought Parkinson's into public view with candor, optimism and humor, inspiring millions around the world.

Since 1945, the Lasker Foundation has awarded more than 400 prizes through the Lasker Awards, recognizing the contributions of leaders who have made major advances in the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, cure, and prevention of human disease. The Awards carry an honorarium of $250,000 for each category. They will be presented at a gala ceremony in New York City on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The full list of Lasker Award recipients is available at laskerfoundation.org.

"Experts told Michael early on that Parkinson's science was 'ahead of the money.' He took that insight and went all in on a clear vision: put patients at the center and accelerate relevant, rigorous and collaborative science. His celebrity generated visibility, but his humanitarian spirit, business instincts, and tenacious optimism provided the blueprint for results," said Debi Brooks, MJFF's CEO and Co-Founder. "This honor affirms what the Parkinson's community has long seen in Michael — a champion who pushes science beyond the status quo and closer to solutions that improve patients' lives."

About Anixa Biosciences, Inc.

Anixa is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the treatment and prevention of cancer. Anixa's therapeutic portfolio consists of liraltagene autoleucel, or lira-cel, an ovarian cancer immunotherapy being developed in collaboration with Moffitt Cancer Center, which uses a novel type of CAR-T, known as chimeric endocrine receptor-T cell (CER-T) technology. This technology is differentiated from other cell therapies as the natural ligand of the FSHR receptor, FSH, binds to the FSHR receptor on the tumor cell instead of an antibody fragment. Moffitt is a world leader in cancer immunotherapy treatments, pioneering next-generation cell therapies such as CAR-T, and tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) to harness the power of the immune system. The Company's vaccine portfolio includes vaccines being developed in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic to treat and prevent breast cancer and ovarian cancer, as well as additional cancer vaccines to address many intractable cancers, including high incidence malignancies in lung, colon, and prostate. These vaccine technologies focus on immunizing against "retired" proteins that have been found to be expressed in certain forms of cancer. The breast and ovarian cancer vaccines were developed at Cleveland Clinic and exclusively licensed to Anixa. Cleveland Clinic is entitled to royalties and other commercialization revenues from the Company related to these vaccine technologies. Anixa's unique business model of partnering with world-renowned research institutions on all stages of development allows the Company to continually examine emerging technologies in complementary fields for further development and commercialization. Elysium Health™ Officially Opens The Elysium Longevity Institute™ (TELI), Establishing a New Standard for Longevity Medicine

From the leader in longevity science, TELI brings together personalized, physician-led care, uncompromising quality and safety standards, and a commitment to advancing clinical research

NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Elysium Health, Inc.™, the leading longevity science company, today announced the opening of The Elysium Longevity Institute™ (TELI), marking the company's most significant milestone since its launch in 2015 and establishing a new standard for personalized, physician-led longevity medicine. TELI reflects a growing consumer demand for a more rigorous approach to longevity care—one built on physician oversight, uncompromising quality and safety standards, and a commitment to advancing clinical research. Members can access personalized longevity protocols that integrate prescription therapies, supplements, peptides, and ongoing clinical care through a single, comprehensive program. Grounded in the scientific rigor that has defined Elysium for more than a decade, TELI is led by Chief Medical Officer Omar Baker, M.D., F.A.A.P., in collaboration with Elysium co-founder, Chief Scientist, and Novartis Professor of Biology at MIT Leonard Guarente, Ph.D.

Dr. Baker brings nearly 15 years of experience spanning clinical care, healthcare innovation, and executive leadership. Most recently, as Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Medical Officer at UnitedHealth Group, the world's largest health care company, he helped shape clinical strategy and innovation at scale—experience that now informs Elysium's vision for the future of longevity medicine.

"Longevity medicine has reached an inflection point—scientific advances are arriving faster than ever before," said Dr. Baker. "These advances raise the standard for how they should be delivered. Responsible longevity medicine isn't defined by access to a particular therapy. It's defined by thoughtful clinical judgment, individualized care, and rigorous quality standards. People want to understand which interventions are appropriate for them, how those interventions work together, and how their care should evolve as their health changes. Pairing those principles with a commitment to generating new clinical evidence creates a model that can advance both patient care and the field itself. That's the philosophy behind The Elysium Longevity Institute. We believe it's the future of longevity medicine—and the standard every patient deserves."

The Elysium Longevity Institute provides a personalized, physician-led longevity program designed to optimize healthspan and lifespan through ongoing clinical care. Following a comprehensive medical intake, licensed providers develop individualized protocols tailored to each person's medical history, lifestyle factors, and health goals. With ongoing clinical care, protocols are adjusted according to the individual's response to treatment over time and as their health, lifestyle, or goals change. At launch, the program includes 18 longevity-focused protocols, including prescription medications, peptides, supplements, and vitamins in oral, intranasal, and injectable forms, with ongoing clinical support and personalized treatment adjustments throughout.

"For decades, the goal of aging research was to understand why we age," said Elysium Chief Scientist and Novartis Professor of Biology at MIT Leonard Guarente, Ph.D. "Today, we're entering a new era where many of those discoveries are beginning to translate into interventions that may actually help people live healthier, longer lives. The next challenge is ensuring those discoveries are translated responsibly into clinical practice while continuing to generate the evidence that moves the field forward. The Elysium Longevity Institute represents an important step toward making that vision a reality."

"When we launched Elysium in 2015, our mission was to bring the world's best aging research out of the lab and into people's lives," said Elysium co-founder and CEO Eric Marcotulli. "Over the past decade, we've helped define new categories in longevity, supported more than 20 clinical trials, and demonstrated that scientific rigor and commercial innovation can go hand in hand. Our responsibility isn't simply to make the latest advances in longevity science available—it's to evaluate them rigorously, deliver them responsibly, and continue contributing to the evidence that shapes the future of longevity medicine. That's the standard we've worked to uphold for more than a decade, and it's the standard that will define the Institute."

The Elysium Longevity Institute is open to eligible patients in the United States. Individuals can learn more, complete a comprehensive medical intake, and begin personalized, physician-led longevity care at elysiumhealthrx.com. While TELI launches with 18 longevity-focused protocols, Elysium will continue expanding its clinical offerings as the science advances and new therapies become available. Consistent with the company's longstanding commitment to science, uncompromising quality and safety standards, and advancing clinical evidence, every new protocol will be evaluated with the same rigor that Elysium has applied since 2015.
