- New 12,000-square-foot training center expands hands-on instruction and franchisee support across seven commercial facility services brands

- Dedicated AI lab showcases tools to support daily operations, technician training, and customer service

- Platform supports approximately 800 territories and more than 340 ownership groups, with plans to exceed 1,200 territories within three years

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- EverSmith Brands , a commercial facility services franchise platform, will open EverHUB on Oct. 22 in Milford, Ohio . The 12,000-square-foot center will expand training, technology demonstrations, and support across seven brands as the platform targets more than 1,200 territories within three years.

"Franchisees choose a platform for the support behind them," said Justin Ghadery, CEO of EverSmith Brands. "EverHUB gives owners across all seven brands access to hands-on training, our Home Office teams, and each other. As we grow beyond 1,200 territories, every new owner will start here."

Located at 502 Techne Center Drive in Milford, Ohio, EverHUB will serve owners across 1-Tom-Plumber, Clintar, Kitchen Guard, MilliCare, Prism Specialties, The Seals and U.S. Lawns. EverSmith Brands' headquarters will remain in Orlando, Florida.

Hands-On Training Built Around the Work

EverHUB features brand-specific training stations that simulate the commercial environments franchisees and their teams encounter in the field. Using commercial equipment, including a partner-contributed walk-in refrigerator, teams can practice service procedures in a controlled setting before applying those skills at customer sites.

The stations will support live demonstrations and hands-on technical instruction, while an 80-person event room will accommodate onboarding, business training, and franchise meetings. The facility also includes a podcast studio and recreation area.

"EverHUB shows a real commitment to helping franchise owners succeed," said Brian Marra, owner of 1-Tom-Plumber Pittsburgh and the brand's 2026 Franchisee of the Year. "I'm excited for our team to get more hands-on training, explore new technology, and learn from other owners across the EverSmith Brands network. For us, that means better-prepared technicians, stronger service for our customers, and more opportunities to grow."

Bringing AI Into Everyday Operations

A dedicated AI lab will introduce franchise owners to tools for daily operations and technician training through live demonstrations and case studies.

Equipped with computers, workstations, and virtual reality equipment, the lab will support the development and training of AI agents built using Claude, with a focus on helping franchisees support their teams and improve customer service.

Keeping Franchise Owners at the Center of Growth

EverHUB's "Voice of the Franchisee" theme recognizes leading owners throughout the facility and highlights their role in shaping the platform's direction.

"Our franchise owners' perspectives must remain at the center of every strategic initiative," Ghadery said. "Every decision we make must consider the impact on their businesses."

"Having a dedicated facility where owners and team members can train on the equipment, processes and service standards we use every day will help create greater consistency across the system," said Chris Kushmaul, owner of MilliCare in Ann Arbor, Michigan. "For MilliCare, that means better-trained teams, stronger execution in the field and more confidence as we continue to grow."

A private grand opening celebration will include a ribbon-cutting, tours, and entertainment, bringing together franchisees from all seven brands, strategic partners, platform leadership, Riverside representatives, franchise brokers, IFA partners, and local officials.

EverSmith Brands is actively seeking franchise owners across its portfolio, with territory available nationwide. Learn more at www.eversmithbrands.com/franchise-support/.

Bolt picks NVIDIA Alpamayo Stack to drive its autonomous vehicles across Europe

NVIDIA software to power Bolt's European autonomous programme, beginning in Madrid in 2027 and supporting the rollout of at least 25,000 Lucid vehicles, as Bolt targets 100,000 AVs by 2035

BERLIN, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Bolt has selected NVIDIA Alpamayo Stack, NVIDIA's full-stack autonomous-driving software, to drive vehicles in its European autonomous ride-hailing programme, beginning with Lucid.

With the core technology now in place, Bolt is preparing to bring its autonomous driving programme onto European roads. The programme will start in Madrid during 2027 while Germany and France are identified as key markets for future deployment. The programme will lay the foundations for a rollout of at least 25,000 Level 4-ready Lucid vehicles equipped with NVIDIA Hyperion.

The programme forms a major part of Bolt's wider plan to deploy 100,000 autonomous vehicles across Europe and the wider UNECE region by 2035.

Together, Bolt, NVIDIA and Lucid are turning a global technology supply chain into one product for European cities. The aim is to build an autonomous ride-hailing service that can expand beyond individual programmes, across multiple vehicle manufacturers and markets.

The programme in Madrid is expected to begin with Lucid vehicles in 2027, initially gathering real-world driving data to support the development and validation of the autonomous driving technology, subject to regulatory approval.

The programme pairs Lucid's software-defined vehicles with NVIDIA Hyperion and Alpamayo Stack. Bolt and NVIDIA will work together to adapt the driving software for European roads and integrate it into vehicles from multiple manufacturers, beginning with Lucid. Running on NVIDIA Hyperion, Alpamayo Stack combines reasoning AI with classical perception and planning, supported by NVIDIA Halos safety capabilities.

Bolt Autonomous Driving Solutions will lead the development and commercialisation of the autonomous ride-hailing service in Europe, bringing its fleet-management infrastructure, regulatory expertise and local market knowledge to the programme, alongside its experience operating a global mobility platform serving more than 200 million customers.

"Autonomous driving will change how people move around cities, and Europe should play a major role in how that future is built," said Jevgeni Kabanov, President and Head of Autonomous Driving at Bolt.

"Our ambition isn't to bring autonomous driving to just a handful of cities. We want to make autonomous ride-hailing available at scale across Europe, with 100,000 vehicles on our platform by 2035. We're bringing together some of the best technologies in the world to make that possible. Following our first autonomous mobility launch in Luxembourg, our next step with NVIDIA and Lucid is to begin a programme in Madrid in 2027. The Region of Madrid is pioneering a structured framework for commercial autonomous mobility in coordination with national authorities. Germany will also be a priority for what comes next, with cities already setting out clear ambitions for autonomous mobility."

"Robotaxis will scale when every vehicle is built on a common, safety-engineered foundation," said Rishi Dhall, vice president of automotive at NVIDIA. "NVIDIA Hyperion standardizes the compute and sensor architecture across vehicle platforms, while NVIDIA Alpamayo Stack and Halos provide the driving intelligence and safety foundation. Bolt's European platform, operational experience and work with cities and regulators make it a strong partner to bring autonomous ride-hailing to market at scale in Europe."

"Lucid's advanced vehicle architecture provides an ideal foundation for integrating NVIDIA Alpamayo technology with Bolt's mobility platform," said Kay Stepper, President of Lucid Technologies and Chief Digital Officer at Lucid. "Our close collaboration to date, and launch of data collection next year, mark the first steps toward bringing scalable, software-defined autonomous mobility in Europe."

The NVIDIA and Lucid programme forms part of Bolt's wider autonomous driving strategy, alongside its work with Pony.ai and Stellantis, bringing together multiple vehicle manufacturers and technology partners to develop and deploy autonomous mobility across European markets.

NOTES TO EDITORS

- Alpamayo Stack is full-stack driving software that combines reasoning AI, classical perception and planning, and safety guardrails to navigate complex traffic. Running on NVIDIA Hyperion, it will provide a common software foundation for Bolt's planned expansion across vehicle platforms and European markets.

- The programme will be built with NVIDIA Halos, NVIDIA's safety system bringing together safety-engineered computing, system software, AI guardrails and validation tools. Halos supports safety throughout development and operation, with capabilities for monitoring system behaviour and evaluating driving performance through simulation and real-world testing. These capabilities help teams build evidence that the integrated vehicle and driving software perform as intended across the conditions they are designed to encounter.

Detailed Third-Quarter 2026 Consolidated Financial Results

- Revenues for the third quarter totaled $32.3 billion, versus $30.7 billion in the year-ago quarter, up 5.3%. This was largely due to growth in Advanced Connectivity wireless service and equipment revenues, and fiber revenues, which include the impact of the Company's first-quarter acquisition of Lumen's mass markets fiber business. Operating revenues in Latin America were also higher due to favorable foreign exchange impacts and growth in postpaid revenues. Offsetting the increases were lower Legacy revenues from lower demand for services as the Company continues to decommission its copper-based network.

- Operating expenses were $28.2 billion, versus $24.6 billion in the year-ago quarter. Operating expenses increased primarily due to a non-cash impairment charge associated with the Company's held-for-sale Mexico wireless business of $2.6 billion, employee separation charges, increased wireless equipment costs, as well as higher advertising and higher bad debt expenses driven by subscriber growth. The increase was also due to incremental customer costs related to the acquired mass markets fiber business. These increases were partially offset by cost reductions from transformation initiatives and apportioned legal settlements in the prior-year period. Depreciation expense was also lower year over year from fully depreciated legacy assets, partially offset by ongoing capital spending for strategic initiatives.

- Operating income was $4.1 billion, versus $6.1 billion in the year-ago quarter. Adjusted operating income* was $7.6 billion, versus $6.6 billion in the year-ago quarter.

- Income from continuing operations was $1.3 billion, versus $9.7 billion in the year-ago quarter.

- Income from continuing operations attributable to common stock was $0.9 billion, versus $9.3 billion in the year-ago quarter. Earnings per diluted common share from continuing operations was $0.13, versus $1.29 in the year-ago quarter, which included a gain recognized on the sale of the DIRECTV investment. Adjusting for $0.52, which includes a non-cash impairment charge associated with the held-for-sale Mexico wireless business, employee separation charges, and other items, adjusted earnings per diluted common share* was $0.65, versus $0.54 in the year-ago quarter.

- Adjusted EBITDA* was $12.5 billion, versus $11.9 billion in the year-ago quarter.

- Cash from operating activities from continuing operations was $10.5 billion, versus $10.2 billion in the year-ago quarter, which included voluntary pension plan contributions. The increase also reflects timing of working capital payments.

- Capital expenditures related to continuing operations were $5.1 billion, versus $4.9 billion in the year-ago quarter. Capital investment* totaled $5.6 billion, versus $5.3 billion in the year-ago quarter. Cash payments for vendor financing totaled $0.5 billion, versus $0.4 billion in the year-ago quarter.

- Free cash flow* was $5.0 billion, versus $4.9 billion in the year-ago quarter.

- Total debt was $159.6 billion at the end of the third quarter and net debt* was $149.8 billion, both reflecting a sequential increase related to the closing of the EchoStar spectrum transaction.

AT&T Third-Quarter 2026 Segment Results6

Advanced Connectivity service revenues grew 6.1% year over year, driving growth in operating income of 18.9% and EBITDA* of 7.3%. Internet net adds were 769,000 – comprised of 442,000 fiber and 327,000 fixed wireless – and postpaid phone net adds were 379,000.

Advanced Connectivity segment revenues grew 7.2% year over year, driven by service revenue growth of 6.1% and higher equipment revenue. Wireless service revenue increased due to growth in retail wireless subscribers in underpenetrated categories and converged accounts, and pricing actions that were partially offset by promotional discounts on wireless subscriber additions. Advanced home internet revenue growth, which included an impact from the acquired mass markets fiber business that closed in the first quarter, reflects increases in fiber and AT&T Internet Air revenues. Business fiber and advanced connectivity revenues increased largely due to higher fiber and fixed wireless revenues.

NEW YORK, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Immunic, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMUX), a late-stage biotechnology company pioneering the development of novel oral therapies for neurologic diseases, today announced that new clinical, biomarker, and preclinical data for its lead investigational asset, nuclear receptor-related 1 (Nurr1) activator, vidofludimus calcium (IMU-838), are being presented across four poster presentations at MSToronto2026 – the 10th Joint ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS Meeting, taking place October 21-23, 2026, in Toronto. All posters are available on the "Events and Presentations" section of Immunic's website at: https://ir.imux.com/events-and-presentations. Additionally, the team is available throughout the event at booth #516.

"The data presented at MSToronto2026 provide complementary clinical and mechanistic evidence supporting the differentiated profile of vidofludimus calcium across the multiple sclerosis (MS) spectrum," said Erik Lundgren, Chief Executive Officer of Immunic. "Importantly, the new CALLIPER open-label extension (OLE) analyses provide favorable long-term follow-up of the disability signals observed during the double-blind treatment period, while the Nurr1, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), and disability endpoint analyses provide additional insight into the biology of disease progression and how treatment effects may be more comprehensively measured. Together, these findings further support the clinical and scientific rationale for our planned Phase 3 program in progressive MS, which we expect to initiate later this year, while we also approach the top-line results from our fully enrolled Phase 3 ENSURE trials in relapsing MS, expected by year-end 2026."

New Phase 2 CALLIPER Open-Label Extension Data Support Durability of Disability Outcomes

Poster Title: Evaluation of Disability Outcomes from the Open-Label Extension of CALLIPER: A Phase 2 Trial of Vidofludimus Calcium in Progressive Multiple Sclerosis

- Lead Author: Robert J. Fox, M.D., Staff Neurologist, Mellen Center for Multiple Sclerosis, Vice-Chair for Research, Neurological Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio and Coordinating Investigator of the CALLIPER trial

- Presentation: Paper Poster, Poster Number P0387

- Date and Time: Poster Session 1, Wednesday, October 21, 2026, 4:30 - 6:30 pm ET

New analyses of the Phase 2 CALLIPER trial showed that the favorable trends on disability outcomes observed during the double-blind main treatment period were maintained during the OLE phase among participants who continued vidofludimus calcium treatment. Only 6.5% of patients discontinued through the January 27, 2026 data cutoff, with a safety and tolerability profile that appeared consistent with that observed in the double-blind period.

Preclinical Models Suggest Nurr1-Dependent Neuronal Survival and Neuroprotective Effects

Poster Title: Vidofludimus Calcium Requires Nurr1 to Promote Neuronal Survival In Vitro and Is Associated with Neuroprotective Effects in Murine Models of Multiple Sclerosis

- Lead Author: Mehrnoosh Jafari, Senior Manager Translational Pharmacology at Immunic

- Presentation: Paper Poster, Poster Number P1273

- Date and Time: Poster Session 2, Thursday, October 22, 2026, 4:30-6:30 pm ET

New preclinical findings across multiple models suggest that vidofludimus calcium promotes neuronal survival under apoptotic stress conditions, an effect requiring Nurr1, and in addition reduces microglia-driven neuronal loss, supporting direct and indirect neuroprotective mechanisms. Under in vitro apoptotic conditions, vidofludimus calcium promoted neuronal survival, an effect not observed with teriflunomide, suggesting that the observed pro-survival effect involves mechanisms beyond DHODH inhibition.

Vidofludimus calcium also reduced disease severity and plasma neurofilament light (NfL) chain levels in murine experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) models, and increased brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels and expression of Nurr1-regulated target genes, providing additional evidence consistent with activation of Nurr1-pathways.

Taken together, these findings provide further preclinical evidence of the profile of vidofludimus calcium on pathways associated with neuroprotective effects.

Exploratory and Post-hoc CALLIPER Analyses Link Reduced EBV-Specific T-Cell Signatures with Improved Cognitive Performance as Measured by the Symbol Digit Modalities Test

Poster Title: Anti-EBV T-cell Receptor Repertoire Reduction Is Linked to Enhanced Cognitive Performance in Progressive Multiple Sclerosis: Evidence from the Phase 2 CALLIPER Trial with Vidofludimus Calcium, a Direct Nurr1 Activator and Selective DHODH Inhibitor

- Lead Author: Amelie Schreieck, Ph.D., Senior Manager Biomarker Development at Immunic

- Presentation: ePoster, Number EP2473

- Date and Time: ePoster screens within the congress center and on the congress platform for the duration of the congress

An exploratory CALLIPER analysis found that vidofludimus calcium significantly reduced EBV-specific TCRβ chain (TRB) sequence matches versus placebo-treated patients (-0.65 matches; p=0.0004), while influenza A-specific matches were unchanged (+0.08; p=0.5983), suggesting an EBV-selective rather than generalized effect on the T-cell repertoire, consistent with a lowered rate of EBV reactivations. Across all patients, reductions in EBV-specific TRB matches were associated with improved Symbol Digit Modalities Test (SDMT, broadly used to assess processing speed) scores, as assessed in a post-hoc analysis. Safety and tolerability data from the CALLIPER trial are summarized below.

These exploratory findings support further investigation of the relationship between EBV-related immune activity and cognitive function in progressive MS.

Novel CALLIPER Analyses Evaluate Disability Improvement and Worsening Together

Poster Title: Bidirectional Disability Changes in Progressive Multiple Sclerosis Patients: a Proposed Endpoint to Capture Full Treatment Effects

- Lead Author: James Myles, Global Head of Biostatistics at Immunic

- Presentation: ePoster, Number EP2205

- Date and Time: ePoster screens within the congress center and on the congress platform for the duration of the congress

Traditional progressive MS analyses have focused primarily on delaying confirmed disability worsening, with improvement often not captured fully or assessed separately. This analysis evaluates two novel statistical models, Confirmed Disability Change (CDC) and Generalized Pairwise Comparisons (GPC), as proposed methods to integrate confirmed disability worsening and improvement into a single statistical analysis measure.

Applying both methods to CALLIPER post-hoc, progressive MS patients treated with vidofludimus calcium appeared more likely to have positive outcomes as compared to placebo, suggesting these methods may capture the true bidirectional disability trajectory of patients. The CDC method fits an ordinal logistic regression model to three ordered categories of confirmed disability change. Using data from the CALLIPER trial, patients treated with vidofludimus calcium were 2.47 times more likely to experience 24-week confirmed disability improvement (CDI) (nominal p=0.037), and a positive CDC (nominal p=0.042). The GPC method compares all pairs of patients to determine which patient had a better outcome as measured by improvement, stability, or slowed worsening on the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) score. By this method, patients on vidofludimus calcium were 1.5 times more likely to have a better outcome than those who received placebo, a statistically significant and clinically meaningful result (p=0.042).

These outcomes support further evaluation of a bidirectional endpoint designed to capture treatment effects across both disability worsening and improvement.

About Vidofludimus Calcium (IMU-838) and the CALLIPER Trial

Vidofludimus calcium (IMU-838) is an investigational oral small molecule activating nuclear receptor-related 1 (Nurr1) and selectively inhibiting the enzyme dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH). It is currently being evaluated in the Phase 3 ENSURE trials in relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS). More than 3,500 individuals have been exposed to vidofludimus calcium, to date.

The Phase 2 CALLIPER trial randomized 467 patients with primary or secondary progressive MS 1:1 to 45 mg once-daily vidofludimus calcium or placebo. While the primary endpoint of percent brain volume change (PBVC) was not met, exploratory imaging and clinical outcomes showed directionally favorable signals. Rates of treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs) and serious adverse events (SAEs) were similar to placebo (69.4% vs. 68.5% and 8.1% vs. 6.5%, respectively), with no new safety signals and no Hy's law range cases observed. Among the 387 participants who entered the OLE phase, 44.4% experienced at least one TEAE, including 5.7% who experienced a serious TEAE. Liver-related TEAEs occurred in 3.1% of participants, and TEAEs leading to discontinuation in 1.8%.

Vidofludimus calcium (IMU-838) is an investigational medicinal product that has not been approved or authorized by the U.S.

Genprex Highlights New Preclinical Data Identifying Role of TUSC2, the Gene Used in REQORSA®, in Maintaining Cellular Function During Brain Aging
Image File
Original HTML

Collaborators publish new peer-reviewed study identifying sex-specific effects of TUSC2 loss on mitochondrial function, protein homeostasis, and synaptic pathways, alongside molecular similarities with human brain

Findings suggest that TUSC2 may play a foundational role in brain health

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Genprex, Inc. ("Genprex" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: GNPX), a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing gene therapies designed to restore tumor-suppressor function in cancer and insulin-producing function in diabetes, today highlighted new peer-reviewed research in mice identifying an important role for the TUSC2 tumor suppressor gene in maintaining cellular processes associated with healthy brain aging and supporting broader understanding of how disruption of normal biological function may contribute to disease.

The study, entitled "Mitochondrial calcium sensor TUSC2 protects the aging hippocampus from proteostasis collapse in a sex-specific manner," was published in Mechanisms of Ageing and Development by researchers at Meharry Medical College. TUSC2 is the therapeutic gene used in Genprex's investigational REQORSA® gene therapy, which is being developed for the treatment of cancer.

The research found that loss of TUSC2 in mice was associated with substantial disruption of mitochondrial function, of protein homeostasis and of pathways involved in neuronal communication within the hippocampus, a region of the brain essential for learning and memory. These effects were markedly more pronounced in male mice than in females, suggesting important sex-specific differences in the biological response to TUSC2 deficiency.

Importantly, the researchers also analyzed existing human gene-expression datasets and found that TUSC2 expression declined significantly with age in 11 of 13 examined brain regions, with additional reductions observed in Alzheimer's disease datasets. Levels of TUSC2 protein in the hippocampus, as in the rest of the brain, decrease as humans age. Comparisons between the mouse findings and human hippocampal aging datasets identified overlapping molecular changes, supporting further investigation of TUSC2's role in brain aging.

While the research did not evaluate REQORSA as a treatment for aging or neurodegenerative disease, the findings expand scientific understanding of the biological functions of TUSC2, the gene underlying Genprex's lead oncology program.

"This research adds to our understanding of the diverse biological functions of TUSC2, the tumor suppressor gene at the center of our REQORSA oncology program," said Mark Berger, Chief Medical Officer of Genprex. "The findings highlight the important role TUSC2 plays in mitochondrial function, cellular stress responses, and protein homeostasis, while revealing intriguing differences between males and females. Importantly, the parallels identified between the preclinical findings and human brain aging data further reinforce the biological significance of TUSC2 beyond its established role in cancer. While these findings are exploratory, they contribute to a growing body of research into the broader functions of this important gene."

The research utilized an engineered mouse TUSC2 knockout (KO) model to investigate how the loss of TUSC2 accelerates molecular changes associated with hippocampal aging, before the onset of overt neurodegeneration. The findings establish the TUSC2 KO model as a valuable tool for investigating early stages of mitochondrial dysfunction, impaired protein homeostasis, and age-related changes in brain function.

Key study highlights:

- Sex-Specific Resilience: The study identified marked differences in mitochondrial stress resilience between male and female mice. While TUSC2 loss in males disrupted mitochondrial, protein homeostasis and synaptic pathways, females exhibited adaptive cellular stress responses, suggesting greater resilience to TUSC2 deficiency.

- Protein Homeostasis: TUSC2 deficiency was associated with impaired protein quality-control pathways and a significant increase in protein aggregate size in the male hippocampus, supporting a role for TUSC2 in maintaining cellular protein homeostasis.

- Synaptic Pathway Maintenance: The researchers identified substantial disruption of pathways involved in neuronal communication and synaptic function including differences between gene expression and corresponding protein levels, suggesting that TUSC2 contributes to the maintenance of normal synaptic processes.

These findings further support the importance of understanding how biological functions are disrupted in aging and how restoring TUSC2 may open new avenues for therapeutic intervention in age-related cognitive disorders.
